List of inaccurate car models in Forza Motorsport

,

It was suggested to me that I should make a Discussion Topic that keeps track of all inaccurate car models in Forza Motorsport, with links to Troubleshooting Hub pages of each one that gets reported. Feel free to share modeling inaccuracies you have found in FM, and remember to make reports on them in FM Car Issues. Even better if you have a visual comparison showing the inaccuracies.

A new scan of these cars would be great.
Where the inaccuracies were hard to notice on old systems (on which it was first released), they’re really obvious now with the current systems. The cars don’t match the quality of the current cars being added to the game.

Be sure to vote on all of the topics above!

What a great idea for a thread.

I’m not sure if inaccurate stands for down right ugly graphics.

But here is one.

EDIT: A surprising amount of cars that appeared in FM1 were remodeled for FM5. Some received really good models (NSX NA2), while others were only broken further (Impreza 22B). Also, some cars debuted as USDM models and were changed into other market models for FM2, but the only things changed were always side markers and interior. The list has been updated to reflect these changes, and a separate list of cars that were remodeled has been added.

Here’s a list of Forza Motorsport cars I’ve found that share 3D models with FM1:

  1. AM Vanquish ā€˜01
  2. Audi RS6 C5
  3. Audi S4 B6
  4. Bentley Speed 3
  5. BMW V12 LMR
  6. Buick Regal GSX
  7. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
  8. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C5
  9. Dodge Viper GTS ACR

  18. Ford GT ā€˜05
  19. Honda Civic EP3
  20. Honda CR-X SiR
  21. Honda Prelude Type-SH
  22. Infniti G35
  23. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo
  24. Lotus Elan Sprint
  25. Lotus Esprit V8
  26. Maserati MC12

  42. Porsche 944 Turbo
  43. Porsche 959
  44. Porsche Carrera GT
  45. Renault Clio V6
  46. Toyota TS020
  47. Toyota 2000GT
  48. Toyota Supra A70
  49. Toyota Supra A80
  50. Toyota Trueno AE86
  51. Toyota Celica SS-II
  52. Volkswagen Corrado
  53. Volkswagen Golf R32 Mk4

There are also a few extra cars that did not appear in FM1 and yet share a large part of their models with cars from FM1, and these are:

  1. Ford Focus RS Mk1 - based on the Mk1 Focus SVT (shares bonnets and spoilers)
  2. Nissan Silvia S14 Kouki Aero - based on the S14 Zenki (shares the C-West kit and all spoilers)
  3. Vauxhall Monaro VXR - based on the 2004 Pontiac GTO (not present in FM but I’m so mad about it that I will include it here)

Cars that appeared in both FM 2023 and FM1 that were remodeled:

  1. Acura Integra Type-R (seemingly accurate, needs a checkup)
  2. Chevrolet Camaro SS 1969 (still inaccurate)
  3. Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi 1971 (likely still inaccurate, needs a checkup)
  4. Ferrari Enzo (seemingly accurate, needs a checkup)
  5. Ferrari F333 SP (slightly modified)
  6. Ferrari F40 (accurate but low quality)
  7. Ferrari F50 (seemingly accurate, needs a checkup)

  16. Saleen S7 (still inaccurate)
  17. Subaru Impreza GD 2004 (still inaccurate, shares body kits with the FM1 model)
  18. Subaru Impreza 22B GC8 (fixed for FM 2023, accurate)

Is there proof that these are fm1 models. Thats a 19 year old game?!

Surely they would of updated the models. ?

If so that really really disappointing :disappointed::confused:

They went through texture upgrades in each next title they appeared in until Motorsport 5, then once more in Motorsport, but no shape changes were made, with just a few exceptions.

As I’ve said, this is lazy. In no way shape or form should a game that’s been ā€œrebuilt from the ground upā€ be allowed to use 19 year old car models. T10 isn’t going to do anything to correct this. There’s way too much money involved and they’re probably losing money at this point as it is.

I’m 45 years old and I gotta say gaming in the 2020s is pretty awful. Look at wrc look at fm23, look at cod.

These are half the games we got back 10 years ago for less money.

I’m shocked. I enjoy gaming I enjoy racing games specifically, but at this rate I’m tempted to go back to pc and a wheel and trusted old Sims like ac, rf2 ams2 etc, or give up gaming altogether and take up guitar again.

It just isn’t fun were freaking paying beta testers. Were paying them!!!

As much as I would like to the wife may say otherwise, with the money I was spending on pc upgrades and wheels.

Hence my downgrade to ps5 then Xbox.

Maybe one day hey mate lol

The Silvia S15 had become a meme for the reuse of assets from earlier games at this point. So I’m not even surprised that there was more models in the same situation, but this much? It’s embarassing.

You know… The model used in FM makes sense of converting the Silvia to FWD. Just sayin.

FWD Silvia would be pretty interesting NGL, now I wish swapping to FWD was a thing. >:)

At this point, I’m done complaining. I’m hoping for a Cyberpunk type of reboot but I have 0 faith in T10.

It is appalling that some of most used cars in the game are inaccurate… I cannot at all drive Silvia in particular, because it looks like s. totally wrong…

Hopefully people will notice this thread and vote… Even if I think that most of players care more about new shiny hypercar than having quality in cars they drive all of the time…

i cant stand how bad the s14 zenki is in this game. I get off forza and go look at mine and its just so bad in game…

The Kouki isn’t any better either, as it’s based on the same FM1 model body, just with a poorly modeled Kouki front stuck onto it.
