This issue has persisted since the first Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox. This particular car was showcased in pre-release footage showing off the new Catalunya Circuit model. The body line is incorrect, the front end proportions are incorrect, it’s difficult to find an aspect of this model that is truthful to the real life car.
Horizon 5 and Motorsport models are exactly the same
Forza suffers the same problem GT had years ago. When they had Premium and non-Premium cars in their games with a more than obvious difference in model quality. Eventually they fixed it and now all cars are Premium (so none are?). If Forza wants to fix this problem they know what to do.
When I look at the Evo VI in The Crew 2 & Motorfest, I eventually found out that it looks allegedly the same Forza model but the only difference is the open fog lights.
Is it just me or does the model really look alike from the different games made by different devs?
And according to Gran Turismo devs, they said that it took them 6 months to fully model ONE car. That’s how they get their car models a lot more realistic than Forza’s.
The laser scanning process from GT7 is more complex. But Forza? I don’t think they see the opportunity of remodeling…
Bug Logged? This could either mean that the issue will be shoved into the “won’t fix/by design” list, or that T10 is actually taking their time to finally remodel this car, and the two others that also just got the Bug Logged note. Please tell me it’s the latter…
And after a long time trying to observe the models of FTO between The Crew and Forza, I have finally confirmed that the models look the same between the two different racing game franchises, I can see the “disproportionate” front-end like the “low” front bumper and these “wrong” headlights also exists in The Crew’s FTO, but I guess nobody knows that.
Fact is - it arrived in TC2 and Motorfest before it returns to FM8.
Turns out as we know, the model was indeed outsourced. It’s from the same outsourcing company - GLASS EGG. They also outsource The Crew’s car models, but I think the majority of them were in separate model looks.
Except the fact that the model quality of the same car between the two different games from two different development companies look the same with a minor difference.
