Whoever is in charge of car models and sounds needs to lose this ‘we have an asset for that’ attitude and adopt a ‘do we have the best possible asset for that?’ one. Enough is enough of this sub-par trash.
I’ll be able to grab some more, but here is one example at least from a post I made in another thread
Now the “base” SRT4 got updated to the SRT4 ACR at one point (I don’t know what game off the top of my head) but the assets for the body kits are still being used to this day. You can find this kit on the ACR in FM23—minus the wing.
So… Customers are supposed to:
• find the game’s issues
• report the game’s issues in the precisely correct place and in the precisely correct way (and hope they don’t move the goalposts by closing the thread)
• hope to get enough votes from other customers to get an issue addressed
??
If I’m understanding that correctly… Wow.
That sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through.
That sounds like an easy way to avoid fixing a lot of issues if they’re not reported in the proper fashion and if they don’t get enough votes.
I don’t buy games to do the unpaid work of a tester.
Testing is a game company’s job, not a customer’s job.
What’s next? Will they start asking for GitHub repository submissions to make customers just develop the entire game for them too?
Always saying the facts
The LaFerrari has been downgraded again, it used to have working read diffuser flaps which became static, and now in FM 2023 the grill mesh is all messed up and zoomed in. Pretty sad for a car like the LaFerrari to be downgraded multiple times.
Good thread
Was thinking this when they first announced that that was the only way that they would fix issues. The fact that something wrong could get swept under the rug because it doesn’t get enough votes just adds insult to injury.
What’s the point of the discussion section then? Cater to the people who just want to inflate the ego’s of people who didn’t do their job? Sounds like that’s what they want it to be.
I mean honestly, what do they expect us to discuss? Why interact with the community at all if you’re just going to tell us to go to a separate section of the forums to post about what’s objectively wrong with the game?
I guess this is like disabling comments during the livestreams. They need to dabble in crisis management, it would help them a lot with keeping the ship sailing.
That list of cars honestly makes me so upset, but at the same time thanks for putting it together.
It’s unbelievable how such iconic cars can be treated with a ‘that will do’ attitude.
What makes it worse this time around is that the sounds have also taken a step backwards. ![]()
It’s not just inaccurate car models, the cars genuinely look awful. I can’t understand how so much effort was put into making the tracks look realistic but the cars still look two generations behind.
Maybe it’s just my Xbox Series X but I’ve only ever seen tracks look worse than even Motorsport 5. Tree textures don’t fix the low quality asphalt and road lines
its funny to read everyone only found the problems on the populair cars …
all the cadilliac V8 and same LS gen V8 in other cars (like camaro ss ) have bmw M5 E60 V10 sound.
ford escort mk2 has body part bugs .(like change hood it gets invisible same with front bumper
porsche 3.3 turbo has body part bugs ( like change rear bumper ,removes rear bumper)
and i found 1 commical but i keep that one secret , its MEME worthy i dont want it to get patched
I think they outsourced the modeling. PixelMafia are working on the modeling of cars in 3D.
Whatever process they are using from older forza motorsport Titles to put them in this Game maks us think the developers don’t care about how Cars Look Its very insulting & Makes the Game Look Bad not only cars but Everything in the Game if that’s what effort we can expect from the Developers This Game Has No Future
In this work, after seeing that they added a new body kit to the S15, I felt that the modeling of the S15 will not change in the future.
It’s not good finding this out after 1,900 people got pink slips all across Microsoft’s studios and departments… Yes, this isn’t correlation, but it’s also not a good look.
I went to their site. They’re a support studio. It’s what they do. I shouldn’t let it bug me…
I only wonder, is there a team going through all the meme cars and fixing the way they look, their body kits and how wheels sit on the cars? If not, then Turn 10 needs to make one. This can cannot continue getting kicked down the road.
They’re probably busy scanning new models. These models need to be completely rescanned which, like the tracks, is probably asking too much right now. They need to do something though, like GT5, FM5 something. Tear it all down and build it back up. Starting small then building on it until everything is correct.
FM5 barely fixed any cars, I can remember the Integra DC4, the two NSXes, the F40 and… that’s it.
Evo VIII and IX are just a combination of FM3 Evo IX body and FM1 Evo VIII front and rear ends, the Saleen S7 got a logo placement change for no reason, and the RX-7 FD had its body line changed slightly, for worse.
Easier to list the accurate ones
I should’ve said FM5’s tracks lol that’s what I meant by cutting content and adding it back rescanned. I think they didn’t feel a need to do it because you need a trained eye to see. It just got really noticeable in this game. Shouldn’t you go back to FM3 when they modeled the interior as well, or have you checked that already?
Edit: Read one your posts. You’ve checked them all.
