Almost none of the cars in the game are up to scale. The tires are not the right height or width relative to the body. The headlights and tail lights are not spaced apart correctly. The body height and width is wrong.
Almost none of the vehicles are accurate to scale/dimensions.
When are we going to get a proper car modelling overhaul? Will it be released in phases?

From what I heard, 9 cars that retained their FM1/X360 models are confirmed to be remodeled as their reports were closed. I donāt know when weāll be able to see those remodels but Iām assuming it will be in future titles like Horizon 6.
- Silvia S15
- Skyline R32
- AE86 Trueno
- RX-7 FD
- Lancer Evo VI
- Focus RS Mk1
- Ferrari 575M
- BMW M3 E30
- Viper GTS ACR

What? FH 6 hasnāt even been announced yet. Whatās the point of acknowledging or closing those threads if the changes are not coming in FM 23?
Ohhhhā¦ They are going to pull the same stunt all over again it seems āSorry we couldnāt improve the car modelling and sounds in Forza Motorsport but in Forza Horizon 6 we might, so whip out your wallets peopleā.
Endless loop.

With this many cars, it will literally take them years.
Donāt hold your breath.

I personally am in the camp of preferring to get 10 new cars rather then fixing minor details of 10 current cars.

I do not expect any remodelling to be done in this game. Itās not impossible but definitely has the vibes of an issue that would be marked as ānext gameā in JIRA.

Its not going to happen in this game, one of the reasons is that cars cant simply be swapped out with a new one. Car parts owned, paints, tunes and lap times set would all be useless if not erased.
I know some are all about the accuracy of these things, but the truth is most arent, same with tracks. Most people dont know the differences and if you try to show them their eyes would just gloss over.

Iām personally somewhere in-between. Sure Iād like for cars to be as artistically accurate as reasonably possible. Nevertheless, I have never (and probably will never) seen some of the cars on this list outside of the Forza games. So, I wouldnāt know what a real S15 or an AE86 is supposed to look like.

All it takes is some photos and videos. Most of the cars featured in the game are actually very sleek, low, and wide in real life. Forza hasnāt gotten the dimensions right unfortunately, although they did it rather well on all the Xbox 360 and Xbox One games.
For comparison, you can look at the same car models in GT7 - they look practically 1-1 with the real thing: the lights are spaced apart correctly, the wheels are the right size relative to the body, the carās chasis/bodywork is the correct height, length and width, etc.

I hate the ugly boxy looking Audi S7 Sportback. But then, one day here on the Island, I saw a real S7 sportback. WOW! What a beautiful really sporty sleek looking car. Itās nothing like the āthingā thatās in the game. That car in the game could not have possibly been laser scanned. It couldnāt even have been 3d photographed into the game. It had to be hand drawn into the game.

You will realize that nearly all cars in the game are actually very VERY beautiful to look at IRL - the gameās versions look blocky and do not capture the lines, curves, width, height, etc. faithfully. They did that in FM4 I believe with an in-depth car capturing process - even FM5ās, 6ās, and 7ās models are vastly superior to FM23.
Have you played AC UE on Xbox? the car modelling is ridiculously good and very accurate to the real thing, even given the barebones graphics by todayās standards.

I have not played AC UE but Iāll take your word.
Also, my statement above, I could simply replace S7 Sportback with Porsche Panamera, or Cayenne. As the multitude of those running around here so much better looking than the game version.
Realistically it takes laser scanning, which turn 10 has done on some cars but obviously not all. I cant remember off the top of my head which ones but there has been modified cars put into the game so they do scan them.
I havent noticed too many car models since fm5 that looked that inaccurate, but this game definitely seems to use lower res textures compared to past games. I dont think theres any circular shapes that dont have sharp angles on them.
Gt7s car models are pretty much the best in the business and polyphony should be really proud of what theyve presented. The only forza models that could even come close were the forzavista cars from fm4.

Yeah, I keep reading that āthis car doesnāt look like the real thingā, or āthis engine doesnāt sound like the real thingā, or āthis car doesnāt perform like the real thingā, and having never experienced any of these cars, I have to say, they look recognisable, they go vroom vroom, and Iām having fun chucking them in the corners.
Iād rather they put effort into adding more cars, than waste it on cars that, as far as Iām concerned, look pretty car-shaped to me.

$60-70 will likely be the cost for a game with remodeled cars (and better engine sounds). What a steal!
Yes and polyphony use cars from gt3 from years and years in a terrible low polycount. Same for the tracks. And now after all the new psysich break the game.
This hasnāt been true for 7 years.
Gran Turismo 6 was the last title to use old models. Every car model in GT Sport and beyond is brand new.

While it certainly would be a ānice to haveā thereās far more important things to do. Like build a game, rebuild a community and and, and.
Besides how many people actually drive the car stock. I bet most if not all are slammed, different rims, aero parts etc. thatās without getting in to how the car actually handles , engine swaps, suspension changes etc. Just put the rescan on the to do list and scan some new tracks and cars first.

But at least they acknowledged it in their official Twitter (X) account that they will investigate and fix it.
And you didnāt spell āPhysicsā correctly. You really skipped spelling class, do you?
And I canāt even say anything is broken, so far as my own cars and tunings go. I have never seen a car flying, in hours of play.
On-road driving has been excellent in 1.49, and the off-road handling is (IMO) a day/night improvement.
