Improving cars without breaking the game

, ,

Hello everyone. As you know, turn 10 announced that they are going to remodel some of their cars like “Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 1999”. This is a great news; however, unfortunately you can’t just swap a car model without breaking the game. Changing car models in current games will (break liveries, tunes, performance part like body kits, physics change like aerodynamic, etc).
Instead of trying to completely remodel the cars, why not remodel details and parts that won’t break the game? (For example: lights, interior, materials, etc)

Because it will not fix the model.

As you probably know, recently in Forza Motorsport we got some changes to Laguna Seca (correct pit exit) and the Nordschleife (apparently fixed curbs), and this resulted in T10 deleting all Rivals lap times on these tracks. This means that it should be possible to replace the models without corrupting the whole game, by simply deleting all Tunes and Liveries from those cars. I’ve even made a poll about this topic and it seems as though many players would be more than okay with accurate car models replacing their Tunes and Liveries made for those cars.

I already voted. :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t know. Maybe there’s something bigger?
But i’m going to be honest: i would like to have a completely remodeled car no matter if my tunes & liveries are gone and i have to start from 0 again. I don’t even care if driving experience changes (due to the body shape change, aerodynamics will change and will effect the physics). I just want a remodeled car.
