FINALLY. This was DECADES overdue. But to be honest I still don’t have much hope for this all panning out.
I’m worried that all they’re gonna do is take the old recycled models, and just do touch them up. Sure, it’s better than nothing but in all honesty I’m so sick of the cars regardless of their modeling.
We’ve been driving the same exact 2002 Nissan Silvia Spec-R for 20+ years now. When this car is remodeled, I’m just praying they start over entirely from scratch, and choose a different trim & model year, something that won’t happen with a touch up.
Another thing: CUSTOMIZATION.
I’m not expecting crazy customization. But of these these models have had not even the bare minimum of options available ever since the generational jump to the XBONE. Just the hideous Forza Aero and if you’re lucky severely outdated bumper kits recycled from Motorsport 3. Extra lucky if the actual kit has all pieces implemented into the game (looking at you Blitz Supra kit and Kaminari CRX kit)
In my personal opinion? Scrap individual bumper parts. Have all bodykits work like how widebody kits currently do; this isn’t NFS Underground from 2003. I’ll gladly give up bumper mixing for less stressful development for aftermarket parts. That being said, I would be expecting 3-4 kits per car (within reason) and a small handful of various hoods and wings/spoiler as well.
And now’s your chance as well. You’re developing the next generation of Forza car models. Make it so they support interior customization, PLEASE. Just aftermarket seats and steering wheels, that’s ALL i’m asking. The modeling part is already done; you have so many custom pre-tuned cars that use these parts.
Final thing for customization: Make the actual performance upgrades change your car’s appearance if they would IRL. Have weight reduction kits remove seats. Have exhaust tips actually change their size and model when upgraded. Brakes actually using branded caliper models like Brembo and Stop Tech when upgraded instead of that awful scrawny generic model.
