There are lot of glitches from old series. I wish they still have time to correct.
Here is the check list.
Koenigsegg - center vertical wiper position issue. some racing car has too.
Koenigsegg Regera - the blue model based on pre-production model(chassis #114 Blue). some details and weight is different to final production model. and shift indicator should display ‘D’ not ‘1’
Ferrari 458 Speciale - Active aero(under the rear diffuser) is not working. 488GTB has same active aero parts. it’s OK.
Lamborghini Reventon - Active aero(rear spoiler) is not working. even not modeling to moving.
Lamborghini Aventador 700-4 and 750-4 SV - Display is not fit on dashboard. RPM redzone is too low.(it’s low when engine is not warming.)
Lamborghini Veneno - G-meter is malfunction. Display is not fit on dashboard. No red ring painted on tire side.(Centenario has yellow ring painted on tire side.)
W Motors Lykan Hypersport - Reversing lamps are not working. Some accelerate gauge is not working.
Mclaren P1 & P1 GTR - dashboard is nomal drive mode. it’s not wrong but race mode is the best choice for racing game.(like other game) and P1 GTR rear wing is not working. and P1 GTR’s small window should closed.
Lexus RC F - Head lamp lighting when brake.
Hennessey Venom GT - Rear wing pop up when any speed. It should down when high speed.
Another few to throw in is that the Dodge Challenger Hellcat doesn’t have the headlight intake, and if I remember correctly with the Skyline R33 GT-R, the RPMs on the dash the car don’t match the HUD.
Bill Giese has stated that they have gone through every one of the 700 cars to rework the dashboards and sounds, so these old discrepancies may not be carried over to FM7.
Yeah the engine sound is a little off , it runs a 2.0 I4, to be honest the whole car is off sound and physics/performance wise, it should be as fast as the REBELLION R-One Toyota.
I doubt it’s humanly possible to nail every single detail on 700 cars. We can safely expect inaccuracies. Not to mention the game is content locked way before release while the real cars can always be updated with little details. So it’s always an uphill battle.
Thats a joke.
Example koenigsegg one:1 has STILL same bugs that it has in fh3.
Steering wheel still have double button icons, agera and one:1 icons same time, and also they used lower quality model from horizon 3 instead of better one from fm6.
Orange stripe ends in wrong place, carbon is replaced with leather.
So im sure they didnt rework nothing.
Also subaru brz and mazda mx5 3rd view side mirrors are missing, porsche 2017 919 uses same motec that old model uses etc.
What a shameless lie. There are more “discrepancies“ than ever before. For example the active aero on the La Ferrari. It worked until they “have gone through every car“.
And they reworked the Sound ??? Why not the V12 ones ?
Oh dear…
This one is small but inaccurate; they need to fix the “RS” on the steering wheel of the Renault Clio RS. They carried over Jaguar’s “RS” emblem and put it on the wheel and it looks very out of place.
Haven’t we been told before things were entirely reworked only to find out the same old glitches were still there?
Things I’ll add to the list.
2015 Mustang GT has a bunch of pre-production test car instrumentation under the hood. I would suspect with the GT350 as a standard no VIP car pack car though this car probably doesn’t make the cut any more.
CTS-V coupe fender vent is ridiculously lacking in detail and looks like garbage up close in the game. Although if my choices are having no second gen V or having the fender vent look like garbage the fender vent is fine the way it is, LOL.
I’ll add a few. Nothing game breaking but slightly annoying non the less.
2016 Civic Type-R & other UK spec cars - Often have the digital speedo in KM/H instead of MPH, I think they fixed the Astra 1.6 and the Civic could have been an export model they scanned.
Clio Williams - Tail lights were correct in Horizon 2, subsequent games have had made up non smoked lights with orange lenses.
Volvo S60 - Tail lights (missing turn signal texture) - Broken on one of the Content Updates, I think the one that added the V60.
Chrysler/Dodge/Viper/SRT/Whatever its called this week '13 viper - has panel on the roof that’s body coloured instead of black, possible carbon.
2008 Viper ACR - Rear panel is missing the decal around the lights.
2011? Gallardo SL - Rear Wing shouldn’t be body coloured, was correct in earlier games (FM4?).
Some non-american car(some Porsche, BMW, Hyundai) has MPH speedometer. Why they are US export spec?
and Some English car(ex:Astom Martin ONe 77) is Left hand Drive. It should be Right hand drive. (Mclaren P1 is exception. this car has LHD model only.)
Good observation. You forgot on the 458S that the driver’s right hand hovers on the wheel after an upshift, and then rests ON the wheel a second later.
I am concerned about bugs and inconsistencies resurfacing, because they have to worry about 3 platforms now, and so many cars… again, may introduce visual, audio and even physics issues. As you observed, visual/audio issues are still pending in FM6 and Horizon 3… so not sure if its a good idea to have 700+ cars.
There was a time when Forza had around 200 cars or more and issues were practically non-existent.
I just want FM7 to be bug free, and ALL cars having distinct physics and audio characteristics. I think its fair to say they owe us at least that much since we have been loyally and very enthusiastically investing in their franchise over the years.
Oh and on the subject of FM6 car inaccuracies, off the top of my head: The regular Supra has wheel flares looking funny after bodykit upgrades. I think this dates back all the way to the X360 versions and the rear wing mounts glow like pearls when you install a Forza wing.
Oh Hellcat supercharger whine, where art thou?! The sound you hear is the transmission whine and it gets unusually loud in replays, even when the car has zoomed past the camera, far into the distance.
Also, one of the updates introduced a wind noise bug in replays - you hear the wind noise building up the faster you go, particularly around 300 km/h and above, you hear the wind noise through static camera angles, as if the camera is still ON the car. It was fine earlier and one of the last few updates introduced this. Somewhat ruins the immersion while viewing replays.
