Forza Franchise went on many generations. With every new gen we received many graphical improvements such as lighting, texture quality, resolution and draw distance. But there is one thing that is also important… The car models.
Developers sad many years ago that all car models had their new ones, a complete re-work of them while developing Forza Motorsport 5 on Xbox One. Some of them are “new” like the Honda NSX or Nissan R33 Skyline. But this isin’t the case. Here’s the list of cars that to my eyes, my friends and other players in Forza community find wrong. Even looking into other games models or irl pictures. Those are baddly made and need the complete re-work

- 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R
- 1998 Subaru Impreza 22b STI
- 1994 Nissan Silvia K’s (S14 Kouki)
- 1992 Nissan Silvia K’s (S13)
- 1998 Toyota Supra (MK4)
- 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (AE86)
- 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco
- 2003 Volkswagen Golf MK4 (R32)
- 2003 Honda Civic Type R (EP3)
- 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI
Most of those cars are 90s JDM cars that are very popular within the community, but driving and looking at them with ugly model ported from Xbox 360 with some upgraded textures only isin’t the good feeling for a consumer that bought this game for his real money.
So please someone from Forza developers. After all those years get us that satisfaction and GET NEW CAR MODELS. Quality over Quantity. We need that and more and more people notice that this needs to be Fixed.

Shame they don’t show any love to the Japanese cars, S15 is one of my favorite cars but the model is so horrible from Motorsport 3! I never though someone would talk about the Japanese cars models but I’m very glad to see an open minded people.

I completely agree with you kind sir, you’re one of the few ones like me and my 2 friends who noticed the horrible car models of the cars that you mentioned in the list,the majority of the iconic 90s jdm cars are so badly designed since they are recycled,it hurts my heart and soul as a jdm fan to see that,hope someone from the team reads your topic and acknowledges this problem.

Alot of us have been trying to get attention on this item for years to no effect. Even the Forza content creators were asking about the out of date car models in the pre-launch privae Q&A. Now that GT7 is out you can really see how low-quality some of the forza assets are. This needs to change, can you imagine Motorsport 8 launches with recycled 3d models from 15 years ago? Yikes.

I’ve counted a total of almost 60 cars that still use Forza Motorsport 1 models without any changes in Horizon 5 alone, I genuinely don’t understand why so many people don’t see or don’t care about that

Most people will simply never look too deeply into any of the models in the game, out of the 17 or so Million people that played this game at some point, a good amount probably won’t make it far enough to see any of the really bad stuff due to exiting at the tutorial stage.
And of the rest, most just don’t care, as long as they can race around with their friends in their dream car, they’ll be satisfied with the game.

And that’s the problem. Most of Forza players are younger audience and they dont see nothing wrong with models. That’s sad. When someone mentions this as i mentioned bad models … they call you stupid cause they dont see nothing wrong lol

IamScorpion12 What you mentioned is definitely true and we all wish that the developers take a look at our conversations to fix the issues.
I wanted to say that even though forza has a lot of cars we still love to see some more right? Here are some of the cars that needs an update apart from the cars mentioned by you all and few should be brought into the game.
- Mercedes Benz AMG G63, the G65 thats in the game looks disgusting
- Bentley CGT
- Porsche 992 Turbo S / GT3
- BMW X5/X6 MC G05
- M4 GTS was good in the FH4 need to bring that back
- McLaren 765LT
- Mercedes Benz SLS BS and AMG GT BS
- Ferrari SF90
- 2020 Mini JCW GP
- Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution
- Toyota GR yaris
- Audi RS5/RS6/RS7 new
I can’t remember the others
Almost every SUV in the game can do better in terms of driving and visuals and there are also fee cars which I believe nobody wants or uses it. What are those?

Is it true that all cars that do not have option to rise the hood / bonnet (or simply there is no engine model for them) in forzavista are old models ?

they are definitely Xbox 360 models, though all of this is mixed because:
- AM Vanquish 2012 (first seen in FH1 DLC, not in FH5 for some reason) had no openable bonnet
- Skyline R34, despite having a horrendous FM1 model, has an openable bonnet
- Vauxhall Monaro VXR shown in the E3 trailers has an openable bonnet, that car wasn’t seen in Forza between FH1 and FM7, giving devs time to properly scan the real life car and not reuse the FM1 GTO based FM2 model, but of course we got the deformed one
- Mustang Boss 302 is technically a FM5+ car, but does not feature an openable bonnet; the reason for this is probably that it was based on the X360 Boss 429 model and they only changed the front end
so not all FM1-FH1 models don’t feature openable bonnets

As an owner of an S15, I couldn’t agree more. The graphic model of the Nissan Silvia S15 is unfortunate, and it is very sad and says very badly about the Forza franchise that they do not review these ugly details, and do not fix them even in Forza Horizon 3, 4 and 5. Instead, they do have time to design hideous minivans.
