Car Models

You know a diffrence between existing CAR MODELS than the NEW CARS? I just wrote how ugly they look and they haven’t been changed or upgraded in 15 years, but you’ll still gonna do a wishlist…

Are they both stock though? aside from the lighting and slightly different ‘photo’ angle, the only difference I can see is the suspension height?

EDIT, the headlights looks slightly differnt, is that becasue the side lights are on in one pic?

Also teh brake caliper is in a slightly different position.

The devs don’t listen to us, they just add useless things that nobody asked, i’m sorry for that but fh5 will be my last Forza.

With all the things they need to change and fix in this game first… you are going to wait forever for the devs to even consider something like this lol. Who cares about new car models if the game is in a terrible state. lol. Who doesnt want new cars and better models? everybody. Like many other things. But again, its not a priority and it will never be.

yes they are, I checked it like 20 times before taking the photos, the Forza car is too low and has too wide track width stock
and in case you think there are any more problems with that comparison, here is another, I tried to get the zoom and angle as close to the real life photo as possible, it’s inaccurate even in under a different angle though
I don’t think there is a version of the R34 in real life that looks like the thing in Forza, unlike what some people have told me
r34 forza vs real difference front v2

I think I should also remind everyone about the fact that the 1991 Honda CR-X SiR still does not have a side skirt option, after 17 years
on top of that, the names of all the body kit options are incorrect

Just curious cause I haven’t played any others. Which racing games has the best 3d models?

Jumping into the pool:
No company is going to waste a $100k+ salaried developer/modeler trying to get a car model absolutely perfect unless that company is Polyphony Digital, and you could argue successfully that they killed the Gran Turismo franchise with their car fetish decisions.

While I agree some models are older and could use a little updating, there is a cost involved with those updates may not be worth it in the end.

The model looks fantastic to me. The comparison is amazing!!! The only bad thing I would say is that the steering wheel drops down.

I think what the OP is getting at is that many of these models could have been updated (since many have been around for so long, multiple games) that while they were scanning “new cars” for content, they could have taken the time to actually scan some of the older models and update them. If the money was already spent to have the laser scanner available to add “insert X new model here”, then they could have brought in an example of say the S-15, and laser scanned that as well.

Like others have said, 17 years is a long time to just ignore a model being “out of whack”.

The cars are modelled outside of PG, probably not scanned at all. They pay for them, that’s why you don’t see too many new ones.

Only new cars get new models. Sorry, but the Devs have a long history of telling lies to us.

E30 screams for a new 3d model. (roof line, lights… everything.)

I always thought the main issue with the E30 in Forza was the front end with its massive headlights, this is almost S15 level body deformation

please just look at the lights and the wheels, my main issues with that FM1 car model

S15, R32, R33, R34 all need new models. Another that bugs me to no end ( because I own one ) is the E92 M3. These are all VERY clearly modeled for low resolution. Look at the body panel seams.

Thank you for mentioning the E92, I thought I have a problem with my eyes when I saw what’s happening with the panel gaps, not to mention the overall shape being concerningly off

The R32 Skyline is a sad case, because it was a very ugly model in 360, they slightly reworked that model in Forza Motorsport 5, but lost all his customizations parts and still is inaccurate.

It’s still baffling to me, how did they even manage to remodel such an iconic car without actually fixing any of its problems

I know it’s ridiculous and because they have the wheel arches soo wrong you can’t lower the car much (check yourselves flick between standard and drift suspension and any other car drops loads and this car barely moves) and the difference in the side skirt and front bumper height shouldn’t exist

And those headlights HOW :joy:

The only thing I can see as a bonus is it comes with a Nismo front bumper not that it matters with the car on stilts I just stay away
