List of inaccurate car models in Forza Motorsport

,

If the model of a car’s body is the same across multiple titles, it’s more than likely that they share interiors too, occasionally with differences being details (E31 850 CSi interior trim). The last time they did any bigger changes in interiors was Motorsport 2, where multiple Japanese cars were converted from USDM LHD to “JDM” RHD, except they forgot to change the exterior. That’s how the RX-7 FC and the 300ZX Z32 still have LHD windshield wipers.

Yeah, I read your posts earlier in the thread. You’ve checked them all lol.

Haven’t made a list of FM2, 3 and 4 models yet, but this will come in the near future. Really, anyone could do that, you just need to look at Motorsport’s car list and check which cars debuted in those games.

I’ll leave it to you as it would take me too much time to spot the differences. I will vote though once you’ve made your list.

I guess it’s all about time now, not that it is impossible but achievable.

If Gran Turismo can do it then so can Forza. Can’t slack forever. If they took those 6 years and rescanned every car that needed it, they’d have less to worry about. That and re-recording everything.

Even they fixed the front end of the 2004 Subaru Impreza.

Ah yes, Pixel Mafia.

Too bad they didn’t help make the new Motorsport look good as expected…

Hopefully, they’ll start helping with car models soon.

We can’t just carry on with all this FM1 junk! Isn’t there any way we can persuade Turn10 to remodel these poor cars? We have to do something!

We are doing something. They’re watching the forums. They’re already making changes. How quickly those changes will be made, has yet to be seen.

My observations and my experience tell me that all car models that were added prior to FM5 need to be fully reviewed, rescanned and remodeled to bring them in line with the currently added models so there is no visual disparity in quality, accuracy, models and textures. I’m sure I’m missing others but these cars come to the top when I think about the infamous FORZA models. I can put it all into one list here for all so us to keep track of.

I knew about the 997.1 GT3, because it’s one of my favourite cars and seeing that FM2 model genuinely hurts, but the Reventon? Tell me about it

The reventon has a few missing details when compared to the newer cars due to things like the headlights details, dashboard material rendering, interior A-pillars, taillights details, active rear wing, rear brake calipers etc.

Nowhere near as terrible as the other aforementioned models like the Scuderia, 997 GT3, or Trueno but the disparity is very noticeable indeed. First introduced in FM3, I am unsure if the model was laser scanned for accuracy. A lot of pre-2012 cars that were added prior to FM5 look dated and need to be rescanned and remodeled for future-proofing.

Sounds similar to the Murcielago SV. And really most if not all X360 models.

Are these guys still in T10 ?
If not bring them back

And how good is the Veyron in FM23?

I haven’t tried. But I will rn

Multiple of these cars have recieved a “Bug-Logged” tag. This could mean they’re shoving them into “won’t fix/by design”, proving they don’t want to take care of the whole game. Or they could have finally noted what models are inaccurate and which cars to fix in the coming months/years. I want to believe it’s the latter, but life has shown with the dumbest of cases (FH5 E46 and Z33 sounds swapped) that some blatant issues just aren’t profitable to fix.

What annoys me the most are the inaccurate rear and headlights of most cars. Especially if they have LED light systems, then it looks like there is 0 depth like they are just bitmaps so 2D textures. They just don’t look like actual rear and headlights. Else i am not enough of a car geek/nerd to really see tiny details that don’t look right, i leave that to the ppl who know about this stuff.

John of Digital Foundry pointed that out. It’s there somewhere but i am too lazy to fast forward to the exact timestamp.
