The FH2 Xbox 360 version differences.

That when asked directly about the features of the 360 version, Mr. Fulton says “we’re not ready to talk about that yet” does not bode well for it.

“We’re not ready to talk about that yet” is what we heard about FM5’s car and track list, after all…

I think the fact that the 360 version will only be $10 cheaper has already prepped those consumers for that.

The people around here that are so excited for the 360 version don’t sound particularly “prepped”.

I just hope the 360 and X1 versions are good enough that EVERYONE has a good time!

@Brother Of Bone Well we (360) owners never got 5 ??

Yes - and I think the lack of a 360 Forza 5 (more precisely, the lack of all those 360 Forza 5 sales) is the major reason why we’re getting Horizon 2 for both platforms. I have a hunch that when they compared the sales numbers between Forza 4 and 5, there was a little bit of a discrepancy, along with a really cold splash of reality mixed in. While I’m sure sales for Forza 5 were quite high… compared to other XBox One games (there is a certain prestige in being a launch title), I’m also sure that those sales numbers weren’t nearly as impressive as they would have been for a comparable XBox 360 release because they locked themselves out of all those potential sales by making Forza 5 an XBox One exclusive.

Hence, Forza Horizon 2 for XBox One and XBox 360.

Well I do hope you are right. Altho it does make sense in what you said about the sales

Really hope that Horizon 2 on the 360 has the same driving engine as the first game.

Yes, I hope that also.

No surprises here tbh. Sumo Digital’s game lineup is almost exclusively made up of racing games that have been cut down for lesser platforms, usually handhelds. And sure enough, now they’re being paid to cut down FH2 so it runs on the Xbox 360.

How far will those cuts go? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

And tennis games.

You know… the 360 has 9 year old hardware inside it of it. It is obvious that it is going to get cut down.
Sumo Digital is a proven and efficient team. I´m sure they will do a great game.

Hello all! I’m a new fan but have known of forzas existence a while but always chose need for speed. I recently got horizon and i love it, more excitement came when i saw 2 was coming for 360 as well.

So far im starting to see the campaign similar for titanfall and watch dogs.Yes it’s coming out, but we want to bury it as far as we can so people get the one version. Which is fine and expected but for this i don’t understand it. You hire a separate team to make the 360 version which means you want both versions to not disturb the other. So why not treat horizon 2 like horizon 1 for 360? Show it off!

all i’ve heard so far is devs saying they can’t talk about it yet? Why is it the same date as one version then? It just smacks of delay and I have no idea why. i know it’s not until September but they have shared a good bit of info for one and not a bit for 360.

i am pretty hyped for this and i hope im being paranoid. Wish they would stop treating 360 games like a virus now.

why not talk about the 360 version if you have a different team working on it ?

Yea it’s the sales all right. Forza Motorsport 5 has only sold 1.32 million copies so far. FH1 sold 1.72 million, Forza 4 with 4.21 milllion, and Forza 3 with 5.41 million. Also this is a new console and roughly 5 million people only have it.

Your source must be somewhat outdated. When I last checked the leaderboards for the first race that must be accomplished in Forza 5 - a lap around Prague full in the P1 - it had over 2 million posted times.

This can easily be explained by A: Players buying used copies of the game which don’t count towards added sales, and B: Players sharing a console and having more than one gamertag. If I raced a course and posted a time then my wife and a couple friends logged into their accounts on my console and posted times, it would post 4 times and not 1.

Anyways, I have the 360 and as a casual gamer who works a TON (I’m at the office now hehe), I cannot justify spending the money on the XBox One and $60 for every title. I picked F4 up for about $25 new and believe me, I’ve gotten my $25 out of the game and then some. There’s years more enjoyment there, even if an online race community dries up. FH2 will be the first console game I buy the day it comes out since Mario 3. While I am a little bummed that as of now there are no launch cars or Day 1 “exclusives”, I’m sure cars like the ones shown won’t be too hard to obtain in game and if history repeats itself, the game will gift you some cars for Forza loyalty at game start.

Wait a minute, back it up a bit. Your wife plays Forza?? I’m jealous!! I always ask my wife to grab a controller and join in, but no luck. She was especially not impressed with Gears of War. “Hey look honey, I’m doing a chainsaw kill!!” (eye roll)

Yeah, casual 360 gaming for me also, when I can find the time. Wife & kids, only one TV in house, all those dang chores & responsibilities = limited play time. We are on a pretty lean budget, so I rarely buy new games, but I think Horizon 2 is going to be a day 1 purchase (assuming pre-release previews don’t reveal the Sumo Digital version to be a bomb). I really want to jump in on this to join the community from the start.

I was fortunate to download Horizon 1 a few weeks back for only $10 via the recent XBL sale, what a great deal. Now waiting for the DLC to drop in price, surprised to see that the Season Pass is still at $50. I’ve been trying to check the DLC pricing every few days, will have to add some cash to my XBL acct to be ready to download right away.

Have been checking in at local video game stores for Forza 4, but none have had full edition, only that “essentials edition”. I thought XBL had the game download available for sale, but it wasn’t there today, hmm.

Careful at work, the IT guys might be watching…

Regarding game content for the 360 version, I will be happy if it matches Horizon 1. Don’t care about Drivatars, weather would be cool, but can live without it (assuming day/nite will still be present). Read on another post that the map may be smaller for 360, hope it is not too small. Will be cool to race in southern Europe though. Wonder how much open-world the 360 version will be, or if it will have limited off-roading.

did anyone happen to notice sumo doesn’t even list horizon 2 on their site

Confirmation that Horizon 2 on 360 will NOT get weather or Drivatars.

Doesn’t bother me too much as I am getting the One version, but its also not surprising if they want to be able to keep the large map with some decent graphics, plus the old Horizon engine most likely was never meant to run weather dynamics in the first place.
