Forza Horizon 2 confirmed, no news release on official Forza website. Why does this not surprise me one bit?

I think I’m pretty sure I know what you’re thinking because I’m thinking the same thing along with many others.

If they only could add Forza physics this game would be so much better! How about forza 4 physics on Horizon 2?

They are adding the Forza Physics aren’t they! Are you talking about the 360 or Xbox One version? If you’re talking about the Xbox One, the cars will hand pretty much the same as the car in Forza 5, as well as looking exactly like them as well!

I’m not sure if that is a plus for the intended audience at all. Horizon isn’t geared at the die hard Forza player at all. It’s more light hearted, more fun, slightly more arcade. One thing I notice whenever I play online is how many girls/women are playing the game. Also the car looking exactly like in Forza doesn’t make sense at all. Again, one thing Turn10/Playground completely misunderstands about festival and even cal culture. People aren’t going to drive up in a million dollar sports car at all. They will turn up in tuned and pimped affordable cars. Neons… flashy lights, custom painting and body works. Even all the things you can add to your car in Horizon are stock. So much effort on tuning and so little focus on the outside of the car.

Thanks for the link Ant. The thing that I think will get most people’s motors runnin’ is that the game will feature weather. With Playground and Turn 10 sharing a technology pipeline that must mean Forza 6 will have weather fo’ sho’ and it will be improved upon from the initial iteration that appears in Horizon.

You know People were saying the same thing when horizon One came out that Future Forza Titles would have time of day but as we all discovered with fm5 that didn’t happen. Weather is something many people myself included has been asking to have for quite sometime so am curious in how it will do

Hot damn! This sounds awesome, very much looking forward to this and hopefully the trickle down effect of the features for Forza 6

A few problems…Cross gen means the Xbone version will be held back and Drivatars making a return? Please no! Give us well programmed AI! Cant be bothered with another Drivatar smashfest for the first 3 or 4 months.

well the drivatars from FM5 are carried over into Horizon 2, so we should see some well trained drivers in the world…depending on your difficulty settings. the harder the drivatar difficulty setting, the better the drivatars tend to drive… or maybe i should say more “skilled”

This is just too amazing!

Fantastic location. About time European roads featured in a driving game. Very happy it’s on 360 - I will be renewing my Gold after all!

Awesome news! I can’t wait to see what the game looks like. I just wonder how much the graphics are going to suffer with the addition of weather effects on the 360. Regardless, it’s great to see them finally put in weather.

not much. horizon is more of an arcade game than sim, think project gotham or horizon 1. the eather will probably be done via a decal system rather than a fully physics based particle system and horizon only has to run at 30 fps. the graphics will probably suffer most being compared to xbox one graphics but the decision could have been made to make the one run at 60 fps meaning a still shot could look identical.

well looks like mant squashed that thought with 360 and one versions being built on different engines.
