I, like, i’m sure quite a few others out there are eager to know just what the scope of the differences will be between the 360 version and the X1 version.
Obviously we can agree on graphics and the the X1 features like the drivatar system, but what i really want to know is will the core gameplay be the same, will there be the same driving physics, will there be as many cars, will it have the weather system etc etc all the main gameplay features and points as discussed so far for the X1 version, i’ve heard next to nothing so far about the main differences apart from that it’s being made my Sumo Digital who I only know for Split Second PSP i played at my friends and Sonic All Stars Racing which apparently was well recieved but other than that, not really heard of them.
Not that i got the last gen version of Watchdogs, but that game didn’t feature the “online 8 player freeroam multiplayer” mode, or the “decryption 8 player” mode, not a MASSIVE loss as on the PC version I have, i’ve not really played those that much anyway.
So aside from the obvious things in terms of graphics/drivatar system and that such, what other things do you all reckon may be “cut” or “left out of” the 360 version?
Personally i’m a little edgey on it, I don’t want it to be anything major especially such as less cars/no weather system/smaller environment etc, but will happily settle for things that are impossible on the 360 obviously, seeing as there is no info as such, I hope E3 will clear it up for us.
Honestly, I don’t expect there to be less content between the two. The obvious graphical things you spoke of and perhaps fewer AI traffic visible throughout the world are the only things I am expecting to see differ.
Which, if true, i’m extremely happy with, I’m a much more gameplay oriented person any way, I’m sure the X1 version will look fantastic and good for those that will get it, so if the gameplay CONTENT remains the same then I have no concerns at all. Hopefully details will be fullfilled at the press conference at E3 or in the “demo” of the game at E3.
I wouldn’t expect the content to be different, because its using Horizon as a base id expect the car count to be the same as they wont have the polycount as the One version, all in all id expect the usual things like lq textures, rain, terrain etc, the physics shouldnt have that much difference in them
Probably just an updated version of horizon 1 with updated interface/features to be comparable to the X1 version. It might have driving physics comparable to fm4 since the two versions were made in different engines.
I think the differences will not be too big, gameplay-wise. I’m expecting the 360 version will still sport last-gen graphics and the physics will likely be carried over from FH1, but that’s about it. Well, that and today’s teaser made it appear that cars can get dirty now, and those kind of graphic effects probably won’t make it in FH2 for 360 as well. It might still have weather, but I think we’ll find out more at E3.
I am almost certain the differences will be just like how Titanfall compares from 360 to X1. Huge graphics differences, at the very least. As far as anything else it’s just speculation at this point.
Now we know, at least in the U.S., Horizon 2 on the Xbox 360 will only cost $49.99, as opposed to Xbox One’s full price of $59.99 for a copy of the standard game.
I have a Xbox One but have no plans of getting horizon 2 on it unless I can come up with enough money for the thrustmaster wheel. FM5 is useless to me with the controller. Just no fun in my opinion. Id much rather take the graphic loss and play on my 360 with my Fanatec wheel.
In the IGN interviews D. G. said the XBOX ONE game will have the “drivatars that made FM5 so compelling”. To me, that will make the 2 versions as similar as apples and moon rocks, esp. in career mode. I will want to get both for that simple reason!
I was watching the new FH2 trailer on YouTube and I saw a comment that said for the 360 version by sumo, that it would have a smaller map, no Tuning, and “reduced textures and rain affects” does anyone know if this is true or not?
