The FH2 Xbox 360 version differences.

Apart from the developer, we know nothing of what you’ve described in terms of the 360 version. I suggest you take YouTube comments with a grain of salt and stayed tuned to these forums and the ForzaMotorsport.net news section for updates on each platform’s features.

Either way, if you are a 360 user only, just count yourself lucky for getting a port. This could have easily been an Xbox One exclusive.

Yeah, “random dude posting on YouTube” isn’t exactly what I’d call a reliable source.

And I’m definitely looking forward this – I haven’t made the jump to next-gen, and don’t see myself making that jump for a while (not that I have anything against it, I just need to get some bills paid down). Nice to know there’s still a little bit of “360 Love” left in the Forzaverse. Though, from a sheer marketing standpoint a 360 version makes sense. So far, just a little over 5 million XB1s have been sold, whereas something like 80 million XBox 360s are floating around out there – and the 360 is still in production. Just using simplified and exaggerated numbers, say 1 in 10 X360 owners buy the game; to get the same sales numbers on the XB1, not only would every single XB1 owner out there have to go out buy the game, but 3 million more people would have to go out and buy an XB1 and buy a copy of the game, too.

So, until more XB1s are sold, making a game as an “XBox One Exclusive” not only locks out all those X360 players (like me – what can I say? I’m selfish), it locks out all those X360 sales.

Given the limitations of the last-gen console, this is 100% within my expectations for the 360 version. That’s the reason I’m going to get the XB1 version.

If you have an xbox one, why take a step backward ?

Well so far, nothing from Sumo Digital on twitter even about them saying they are working on the 360 version which is really odd. Just hope we get more info soon.

Seeing as the original poster did not mention owning an Xbox One and expressing concerning regarding the 360 version, I’m guessing they have no other option.

In my opinion, it is to be expected. The 360 version will be the less appealing version of the two. Obviously, if the only console one has is the 360, there isn’t much choice in which one you are getting; so, all of the marketing and promotions will be based off of the Xbox One copy.

The games will run on different engines. It wouldn’t be surprising to me if they were completely different games with the same HUD and GUI design and a similar car list.

There’s no real reason for there to be a smaller car list if the cars don’t have to be “rebuilt for next gen”, is there?

Everyone keeps misquoting this. Horizon 2 for the 360 is running on the Horizon 1 graphics engine. They have said nothing about the physics/game engine.

Well we also do know that the Day One bonus cars will not be available to the 360

It sounds feasible, but I’m not aware of any official information about the 360 version as of yet.

I will play both but will probably finish one before starting the other. I was tempted to play the first one again with a different approach to car choices.

Heh. I’ve been motivated to complete the 1,000 Club. I’ve got the entire roster of vehicles ever made available - just gotta knock out those challenges!

My grandsons doing the 1000 club challenge now, i gave him my 360 and all my Forza games, got to keep the legacy going, right?

Absolutely! I’ve said it before and I’ll say many times over: the 1,000 Club and its goal to encourage the gamer to get behind the wheel of each every vehicle is one of the most innovative and rewarding features seen in a driving game, for some time. At that, its no easy or inexpensive task; but, it is a heck of a lot of fun.

I am def getting this game for my 360.I played titanfall on the 360 it really wasnt that bad i just was hoping for a story mode in the game is all that it was missing and maybe a little extra time to develop but overall it was good.I thought for sure this game was gonna be a x1 exclusive title but glad they are making it for both systems cause as of right now i dont have the funds for a next gen system at the moment.Uhm a noob here but what is the 1000 club sorry the only racing games i played before were NFS series,Burnout series,Midnight Club series, and the Tokyo Extreme Racer series to me Forza was like Gran Turismo brick on wheels games.Tried out the demo for FH1 and fell in love with it reminds me of Burnout Paradise which is a amazing game btw.And T REX 5753 that is awesome that ya did that for your grandsons

He was asked the question directly, and did NOT answer it properly

“It’s the same idea” does not mean “it’s the same game with obvious next gen differences”

This can only mean imo: Cut content, Less cars, No weather system, No day one version cars, less (if any) DLC support.

Hands down I am betting they are really worried to reveal more details about it…ugh. Suppose i could just wait to xmas and get a X1 then, but ideally i want to play the game, the same game, and enjoy it, regardless of next gen difference i just want the GAMEPLAY to remain the exact same, as well as the weather system, and car list. That isn’t much to hope for personally.

I feel like there’s a lot of misplaced optimism for how similar the two games will wind up being. I’m not sure Titanfall is even a full comparison because they can dumb down the graphics and you never had some of the dynamic effects or massive map streaming concerns that FH has. I don’t know what the FH1 engine is really capable of, but I won’t be terribly surprised if a lot of FH2’s features on the XBone are missing from the 360 version.

It’ll be interesting to see how the two compare, either way. I’m quite curious what they can pull off for the 360.

I have the 360 only and have no intentions at the mo. to get an Xbone.
So I wonder too, How much difference there will be between the two games as they are being made by different companies.
Not talking about graphics and things just the content of the game
