Horizon Holidays Mix-Up (and Horizon Extreme) content update overview

Horizon Holidays Mix-up and Horizon Extreme content update

Greet the season with a double whammy! That’s right, we have two content updates coming up: one before and one after the holiday season. First, four weeks of winter to celebrate the season with your favorite holiday features. Then, four weeks of stunts follow with Horizon Extreme. Two different winter-themed Stadiums will take over during every other week of the Holiday Mix-up. ‘Tis the season of racing! From January 2 until January 30, flips, turns, and twists take over the Horizon Festival in Extreme Horizon, with the return of a special Stadium from Horizon PR Stunt Party and a new reward car to unlock. For our community’s creators, Extreme Horizon will also bring 4 new EventLab Stubs to build on!

EVOLVING WORLD: Stadium makeovers

On the first and third weeks of Horizon Holiday Remix, enjoy the snow and decorations of the Winter Wonderland Stadium. Enjoy the view and coziness of candy canes, Christmas trees, and snowmen in this returning Evolving World feature.

You better have your ice skates ready as the Stadium freezes over to welcome the return of the Ice Rink, complete with hockey pucks, lines, and goals during the second and fourth weeks of the update.

After the Horizon Holiday Mix-up ends, the Stadium cleans out the ice and snow and replaces them with the returning Stunt Park in the Horizon Extreme series from January 2-30. During the first week of the Horizon Extreme Festival Playlist, explore the Stunt Park to find and smash the returning Dinosaur Pinata Collectible!

These stadium updates will also allow for completing the related Accolades.

FESTIVAL PLAYLIST: Showcase Remix

The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without a ghost or two: the Horizon Holiday Mix-up welcomes a remixed version of the On a Wing and a Prayer Showcase event: The Flying Deutsch-man. Your goal is to drive a Porsche 911 Rallye across multiple environments during different times of day. Revisit one of your first adventures at the Horizon Festival on the third week of the Festival Playlist.

NEW OUTFIT: Classic Cinema Outfit

Usher in the holidays by wearing the Classic Cinema Outfit, which you can earn by completing the “Snow Business” Seasonal Championship during Week 4 of the Festival Playlist.

Selectable start screen :+1:

May only be a minor thing but the FH1-3 intros from the anniversary series and the Retrowave intro made me look more forward to playing than FH4’s and the default one.

Flying Spur and the Slayer I’m looking forward to, maybe the E55 too with it being an older car but the BMW, Nissan and Caddy I find just :man_shrugging: 5 cars in a series is good though.

Hopefully the rest of the cars in the Extreme series follow the Slayer’s lead and it contains some truly unique and out there cars.

Edit: So it really is just the Slayer for that series that’s new, I don’t understand that at all.

Even from an engagement point of perspective why would you not put it as the 80pt car for the overall series and keep people playing a tiny bit longer? Many long time players who already have every car I’d guess will just check out after that 1st week.

Well it’s going to be odd playing FH5 for about 30 mins for the entire month of Jan.

Pretty sure there’s only that 1 new car in the extreme month.

Hi @Spike7401 . Some people might not have backstage passes. This will be an option for them. I think it’s very good actually.

I’ll never understand why they keep giving us lower trim level Bentleys. Also, sucks that for Horizon Extreme, we’ll have to grind for the Deberti Slayer with no new content to get beforehand. Guess we’re truly reaching the end of life cycle.

Where did you see this? Playlist preview?

Looks that way….although they may add some more details about that series later….but I can smell the EOL a mile away.

Oh, I see. I’ll check that out.

Edit: yikes….that January month looks very boring….at least for me. Still, back stage passes are always nice.

I guess PG sent out the playlist thumbnails to some YouTubers, but it would be nice if the community got to see them with the event restrictions.

Yes it is but i have been needing the hoonigan mustang v2 so i am going to get that

Great new cars for December, I’m excited especially about the 2006 Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG Wagon. I love when you add these unique cars from 90s and 2000s

And only one new car for January… So it means I’ll have more time to play Assetto Corsa Evo? Thanks, PG!
