I took a run through the 2 eventlabs to see what was in store for us.

The first one, El Toro Scramble, doesn’t seem like the creator intended this for S1 Rally Monsters. It’s about 85% twisty cobbled streets of Guanajuato, 10% regular tarmac and 5% dirt.
It started out dry but was pouring down rain by the 3rd lap.

The Mini vs Tankpool eventlab was actually entertaining. Only the '65 Mini Cooper S and Tankpool FE are seemingly eligible. It’s all mud and dirt and jumps and sweeping corners.
Would recommend a dirt tune for Mini Cooper S users.
You wouldn’t think these two vehicles would be well balanced, but I had very similar finishing times with both.

I don’t normally share many tunes but ended up sharing 3 for this coming week…

Corvette '70 - SC 165 761 876

Quickest car in my AOM test with 1:02.930, improved my PB by 1.284 seconds which was with a '53 from the last time I did this test.

Corvette '67 - SC 123 585 132

Only the 3rd quickest on AOM (1:03.505) but got a top 100 time out of this on Aeródromo a couple of days ago.

Jag E-Type - SC 981 622 110

Made this today, had a good build on Vintage race tires at #112 on Marigold but this one is now sat at #91.

The C2 Corvette was the one between the '70 and '67 times with a 1:03.447 but that had far more laps than anything else to get there so I haven’t shared that, most players will have all the Corvettes but the C2 is also the most likely for a player not to have with it being the manufacturer reward.

Oh and I forgot this in the original post, if you’re a bit well…weird…

Barbie - SC 401 551 403

This is what I’ll be using as is tradition whenever this silly thing is eligible for a Trial.

With the return of the Stunt Park, I noticed I had one of the Evolving World accolades I had not completed: “Stuntman”. In looking at the description for how to complete it, it’s somewhat confusing. The starting point is pretty clear, but “…perform 2 loops at the Stunt Park in the ‘Yellow Zone’…” didn’t make much sense. It’s pretty straightforward however & I recorded the sequence for anyone who may need it.
(Now if we could only have another shot at the Parade Race & the “Happy New Year” accolades…)

I noticed in the official playlist thumbnail that the second eventlab now says Castle Courtyard Truck vs Nomad instead of Mini vs Tankpool: Castle Courtyard.

It would ba a shame if they changed it from the creators original intent.
The Mini and Tankpool are actually well balanced in this event.

This is really good - thanks!

The '70 Vette gave me the best times on AoM and Bahía so I went with it.
Pretty uneventful Trial all in all.

Ran the 70 as well.

Second event got hung up behind teammates at start and the ai took off in front. Sad.

I actually thought tgm was in the event when I saw the Barbie but no, 6* in a stock Barbie.

Did the trial a few times. This one was pretty stress free. Some banging in the first corners in some of them but Ive seen way worse. Used the '67 Corvette … didnt bother sharing. If you need a tune for it, I’m here to steer you to TheGillesMuller’s that he shared this week … its probably better. Mine drove pretty good though.

I got away cleaner at AOM than Bahía in this one … lead AI gave me a shot for no reason while I was passing on the outside in the first corner. Grrr.

I did the trial a bunch of times in the Barbie Corvette … and people seem to really hate that thing. The first race was no problem because it EV accelerates so fast that it checks out before the first corner. But that second race … a lot of people wanted to dive bomb and hit that thing any way they could like it was personal. Like they took exception to it. I had one specimen drive the wrong way trying to hit me like he didnt know he was ghosted. Smh. It got crazy, but I pitched a shutout with it.

That was the one where I didnt get abused in the second race. Used the race suspension. Probably can lap faster without it, but I figured if Im going to drive that terrible thing, it might as well not feel terrible.

To further trigger the Barbie haters you can apply a Barbie livery that has her picture on the side. :slightly_smiling_face:

I know it’s probably silly to complain about such a small thing, but I legitimately hate PR stunts like the Federal Highway one this week. The Rimac Concept Two tops out at 260 MPH…so let’s set the goal to 280. The trap itself requires zero skill, and neither does the tune: I mean I know next to nothing about tuning, but even I knew it’d just take lowering the final drive ratio. The other two speed traps were equally trivial with the stock car, so why bother making us tune it for this one?

Just wondering if El Toro eventually loaded for everyone else.

Loaded up and worked fine for me on Series X.
