Two to choose from this week…the X-Bow is 10spd but fairly quick (heads-up to M/C users)…had to downgrade it a wee bit to shoehorn it into A class. The Lexus claims to be a “Track Edition” but only one way to find out!

I was excited when I found out the trial was track toys! My original inspiration was this car:

Porsche 911 GT3 2021:244137745

Then I realized it was A class. Oops.

So I ended up doing a Gulf livery for all the A class track toys in my garage.

M3 GTS 2010: 692175778
Caterham Superlight: 179632746
F-Type Project 7 2016: 180358944
XKR-S GT 2015: 942968399
RCF Track Edition*: 107222116
#100 Lynk & Co 2020: 158916503
Manx Forza Edition: 306249170
#20 XPower: 774840291

  • Cars with the asterisks have the “tune by Cashless”

I’m particularly proud of the Manx, mostly because that’s such a crazy/wonky/strange model in terms of the weird area mappings. I’m happy I was able to come up with something at least somewhat presentable, even if it didn’t fit the pattern quite as well as the other cars.

Wow was the ai shocking on the opening corners of race 1 just there for me.

Handy team win but ai got stuck and blocked a bunch of cars. Raah

Lexus drives nice!

Race 2: runaway ai in first and second. Teammate took first on last lap, finished third.

Clean team racing… Maybe a bump at the start of race 1 but tidy otherwise

Just encountered someone using the stock Morris Minor FE in the Trial. Probably didn’t have any other 800 Track Toy. As I expected right from the start, the worst-placed human driver in both races.

Should actually be quite decent for the Trial tracks. Good low speed acceleration, ultra light, decent grip.

If you win the trial, it unlocks the treasure hunt. That was a gimme this week.

Wow! Very nice! I’m downloading them all!

My tunes will be up later in the day tomorrow.

Can someone give some feedback on the RS 6 when they get it? Looking forward to getting my hands on that one. Hoping it’s a competitive A class car.

Let me know when you pick your trial tune and I can make a “Tony Edition” with your logo on it. Though I may need to put a black background behind it so it’s not all camouflaged…

Just in case the in-game hint picture isn’t obvious enough:

Why oh why is there such long lap hw circuit races. Not fun to drive imo.

The vintage racers were gas, lol. Great sounds tho

I’m skipping Hot Wheels this week, like a lot of other stuff. With two DLC out it’s really easy to reach 40 points while being able to ignore the stuff you like least (or hate most).

Speaking of long, though… FIVE laps in the event lap thingy, took me close to seven minutes. Looks good, but not SEVEN minutes good.

Oh man… I forgot to get the 40-point Chinese Commy mobile last week to sell in the AH :frowning:

I’m looking forward to A800 track toys. Haven’t used the MG much yet, but know it’s good.

I’ve looked into the RS6.
It comes with all-wheel-steering and from what I can tell torgue-vectoring stock.
Thus, suspension and diff are not needed to be changed (even if the diff isn’t doing the torgue-vectoring the stock values are good so I left it stock anyways).
It has the full ABT RS6-R kit.

Now to the performance tests:
The stock engine is absolute trash as expected. Not possible to run Rallies, full weight reduction, no aero on A800. Didn’t bother to try a rear-aero build because it would be awful.
It has the obligatory V10 swap and as a surprise the AMG V8.

The ABT rear diffusor adds grip and thus is a must. The front diffusor & wing decrease PI but add drag. Therefore the best build ABT rear diffusor, rest stock. Only the AMG V8 can run this with Rallies, full weight reduction & no aero though.
Lap times on my two test tracks:
Copper Canyon 2:47.7
Marathon 8:33.9
The V10 build needs at least the ABT front to fit A800 but since the rear is a must I went full ABT kit.
Lap times:
Copper Canyon 2:47.0
Marathon 8:30.9

Even with the negative effects of the ABT front & wing it’s better. With a fully adjustable gearbox the V10 is simply stronger than the AMG V8.

Is it competitive? With the other AWD cars within its category and other modern gearbox/swapped AWD cars yes. For A800? Not even close. With its power/weight ratio + drag value and not enough mechanical grip to compensate it simply has no chance against the boring centrifugal V8 armada.

For the trial, I avoided the KTM X-Bow, (for now at least). I down-tuned the AM Vantage GT12 with drags, full aero, full weight reduction, 7 speed trans, and a few misc. upgrades. Had to keep stock springs though. It is stiffer than I’d like it, but it’s very quick and can easily win this week. SC is 930 560 248 if anyone wants to try it.

Surprisingly, drags work well for this car due to the amount of mechanical grip the Vantage has. Later tonight I’ll try a build with either race or rally springs to see if I can improve it more. I see @TonyKartRcr has one with rally springs, which I’ll also download tonight.

Edited to remove NSX R-GT from above. I got confused with another racing competition I’m in, sorry.

Predictable results but still disappointing… Thanks @Rayne_SE. Was hoping for a good Audi. The RS3 for street scene isn’t bad but it requires forza aero which just kills that car.
