@T10ManteoMax, we really, and i mean REALLY need a forza monthly featuring forza motorsport! Please send this to devs. We want to know at least what’s going on so we could have some hope.

Was just the usual PR blabla. “It’s complicated, we hear you, we feel you.” They talked a lot about how great everything is at T10 and ignored many of the most relevant questions. Raceboy’s very important question about what they’ll have for lunch was answered though.

You can’t blame people for thinking it’s being drip fed given how long they had for development and the state of the game on release.

And to be blunt, I still don’t believe it given the quality of the content that we have gotten. These track scans are suspect and all we’re waiting for now is confirmation either from Turn 10 or people closely associated with the development regarding matters we’re already seeing with our own eyes, and that’s just one thing.

I don’t believe a single thing that that man has to say. We need a new CD, that’s the only way out of this.

Its not about thinking its drip fed it 100% is. Thats not to say assets are done and waiting to be released but they were certainly planned to be released when they have been. But seeing how Nordschleife was done months ahead of schedule, im sure they have time in their pocket when it comes to tracks being ready and released when they want.

Nice comeback. I was merely commenting on your rolling eyes at someone else’s valid opinion. Before launch Chris spoke about the cutting edge ai, the improved frr, the new driver skill and saftey rating, all of them failures. 6 months later, not one of these things function properly, Chris shows up on a stream after being mia for 5 months and saying these things are being worked on and are important and blablabla, were they not important before.
Sorry if people dont believe him, he seems like a really nice guy always has, but he hasnt done a good job overseeing this games development and certainly did a worse job communicating with players about it.

I’m not going to sit here and say Forza got off to a wonderful start, it sure didn’t.
But I think they are really trying to set things straight and trying to get the game to a level that it should be.
They know people are frustrated he said himself.
But the negativity here is getting tiring and it must for them too.
Can’t we just be positive that they will work on the game you know give them some support.
Is that too much to ask?

I think they need much better communication if they want any positivity to be earned and earned is the correct word. Believe me i was hoping with the extra time things wouldve been much better, but most things are worse. To be excited to hear that theyre working on things that havent worked properly since launch doesnt really do it for me.
I personally think this stuff has only wasted more time, time that couldve have been devoted to adding to the game rather than attempting to fix broken things. Next month the ai might be getting a big update, we’ll see what happens then.

If they continue to do sessions like that and it’s accompanied by gradual improvements in the game (the latter being most important) then they will gradually build some goodwill back again. The guy who was hosting the stream came across really well - someone who is clearly passionate about the work he does and enjoys playing the game he’s working on (he was trying to race in a completely stacked lobby as well - by average standards he’s probably pretty decent!).

Yeah, how many people are frustrated? I doubt the negativity is tiring for them as they knew what they were releasing before it was released.
We’ve all asked and suggested what he could do to fix this mess, but the suggestions fell on deaf ears.
Go ahead and be supportive. There are a bunch of people here that have been constructive and patient despite the circumstances to no avail to this day.
We’re waiting for this game to get it’s act together. The inconspicuous surprise appearance is another red flag and no surprise. 6 more weeks of winter that we have to wait for Forza Motorsport to be a good game again.

Look, I also really want things to get right for this game too. Since the release I have given continous support by creating car sound topics on those cars that needs complete sound update to give the cars the justice and the right sound they deserve. I have given detailed explanation, emphasized to use the materials provided. I was very hopeful and positive. Then…things happened

Topics that got bug-logged out of which some got closed calling it “Fixed” were NOT actually fixed. I had to re-create them again.

Topics that were not bug-logged still did not get bug-logged. And it’s being idle.

A lot of the topics which are bug-logged still did not get any complete car sound update as of Update 7.0

Despite giving clear explanation and emphasizing the devs to use the materials of real world car sounds which I provide in the topics are NOT used or never gets used.

Even if the sound gets updated it would either be still inaccurate or needs further improvement to sound right.

Getting rid of the overly done mixing and using the resources I have provided from Youtube as actual car sound samples is the only thing I have been asking for. But still no sign of it yet.
You see where this is going right? Here I am trying to help save this game with positivity and hope. And after months when this gets crushed, when things don’t go right, what am I supposed to feel? Happiness or Frustration? I really want Turn10 to put honest and sincere effort upon fixing the car sound issues because the amount of dedication I have given is mainly because for the love I have for Forza.
I was really depressed upon hearing the sound update for the Ferrari in this Update 7.0. And even the Porsche as well, still needs improvement.
Things like these takes the hope and faith away and if they want to restore that, they should read the topics wholeheartedly and re-ignite their passion to save the game. Even though I am only talking about car sound issue of this game I respect others who are also focusing on other respective areas of the game such as car models, FRR, MP, Graphics etc.
So as a result, I want Turn10 to see this @T10ManteoMax

I stepped away from the software industry after being an engineer for a while and in senior management thereafter. I would check in from time to time as I got asked to comment on this or that and what I saw was a general downhill slide in standards and even pride. (I always put my engineers on the phone with the customers they were going to use the system they were developing so they could see it was not just code they were writing. )
This slide culminated in “release it and fix it on the fly”. A general throwing up the hands and saying “fast is all we care about”, “quality is overrated”. So maybe Turn10 hyped the release hoping to get huge numbers on release day thinking they would not only fix on the fly, but actually deliver on the fly.
All of that matters a great deal in IMO. However, like having my developers talk with their end users… A company like Turn10 needs people who are passionate about racing. I read Kazunori Yamauchi as well as several others in their company (creator of Gran Turismo) race in real life. I’m not saying that all of the developer need their FIA license, but those leading the way at Turn10 should be passionate enough about racing to at least be hitting the autocross course one weekend a month.

They are not even playing the same game!
We get all these silly flags and balloons yet they can run the game without them. A please explain would be great right about Now and saying that was filmed before release of update 7 won’t wash as Chris apologized for not adding the fact that they tried to pull a swifty on nerfing some of the vehicles and the fact not making it to the notes.

Yes ! It is too much to ask…No excuse for those (turn10 & other “partner”) who initiated this current situation, i won’t repeat the whole story but almost 6,5 years to get “that” is simply not acceptable …lies, bad (or none) communication, all being done - even worst - voluntarily hoping selling lead at gold price …and we should be understanding ?!!..No way …
Fortunately , we just are speaking of video game …working this way, most of us would have simply lost their job…they have to assume their responsabilties now…whatever the end of the “story”…
They are guilty …not gamers…regardless how they react…
