I had problems with one person for 5 races i over broke into him on a corner pushing I’m off the track ( not enough to lose a place unless I carried on) I waited for him to come back on track and waited behind him for half a lap to over him messaged him after saying sorry so he could read it was a mistake
Due to us both having simpler lap times we started next to each other race starts he pullls over to my lane pinning me into the wall and this is how it continued until I remembered clean lap bonus get you higher start postion that was the only way to get away from him
And this is due to poor chat in lobby asked several times over chat and even a few people said he’s got a problem with me …and yet he remained because the chat doesn’t work so I can’t explain why he’s wrecking or to get him kicked
If any of you think that MP will be fixed you are mislead. The MP has been going downhill since FM2. More kids and non skilled people play this game now since there is nothing out other than PCARS. It’s going to continue to go downhill unless the company implements some type of system that tracks people who can’t race clean or they bring back custom lobbies which they won’t. If you want clean racing then join a league other than that good luck in those lobbies.
Totally agree with the second part, so you need to inform people its there and needs to be used when necessary.
Edit , no idea if it actually works as never tried it, I believe the button is still there in private lobbies too, invite some pals then get them all vote to kick someone and chech to make sure it works
Im not sure its still there, I think it is, only way to find out is to check. The league racing I tried was pretty well behaved and seperates people according to rank much like a gt driving license … not that ive ever played gt …playstation pffft
Just because someone puts in the time and effort to earn a license doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t turn into a bunghole online, though in PJ’s experience it does seem to have had a positive effect. I would have to say the key factor in GT6’s system would be the user controlled CPL’s. Obviously, it’s highly unlikely that we will see them in FM6.
We do however, have the means at our disposal to address this issue. We, the members of this forum, could start to get together in the racers lounge and begin hosting private lobbies. If it gets promoted properly and gains in popularity, more time frames could be covered giving more players the opportunity to race in a clean lobby. I myself work nights, so I race in the mornings when most of my friends are at work. That leaves me with single player or the lobbies. I usually go with single player. Word of mouth would help as well. Even if the number of us here is low, most of us have built a decent network of friends over the years. They could help get the info out there. It would also give the new drivers and less skilled who WANT to learn and improve a place to do so. I have raced Swerve a few times over the years, and he is indeed very tolerant of “slower” drivers. I have learned a great deal on track from guys like him.
You could argue the onus shouldn’t be on us, the players, to make the game more enjoyable, and there may be some validity to that. The game is what it is at the moment though, and I don’t think T10 can really fix it in the short term. As stated, they can’t really control “how” people play the game. It would be a shame for us to put down a game that most of us here, in this thread anyway, really enjoy. We do have the power to make it better for ourselves. It would just take a little bit of effort and cooperation.
No, but why can’t there be some kind of penalty for ramming? Anyone who has played any of the F1 games will know what i mean; when you smash people in that your engine cuts out for 5 seconds or so. There has to be some penalty for ramming or people will keep doing it. I just can’t think for the life of me why there isnt something like that.
Anyway, the first lap ghosted is a great idea. In fact, if people don’t like that, it doesn’t even have to be a whole lap, but a few corners just to avoid the initial carnage at least.
Reality is though, 24 cars is way too many for most of the tracks.
I think online situation should improve next week with Need For Speed being released. A lot of the folks who like a more arcade style, smash and crash way of playing will hopefully migrate over to that game. Keeping fingers crossed
24 people is too much, and if you get rammed in the rear/side it takes way too long until you get ghosted. And if you don`t rev up during the start, you should immediately turn into ghost, should help at the start. And those people should be auto-kicked for inactivety.
I really got put off from hoppers when I was battling for 1st place. A car was coming up the side of me and instead of blocking him I gave him the lane… He tried to ram me off the road and caused us both to crash. Smh
Halo just came out.
COD is coming out soon.
NFS is coming out shortly…
Plenty of games for those who crave aggression to go feed on…and so I believe things will get better in due course, but I agree with all of you in that for now - MP is virtually unplayable…and horribly frustrating.
Part of the problem is that a lot of the time when there is contact, individuals assume it was intentional, and then take every chance thereafter to ‘pay it back’.
Simple fix - make the races one lap longer, and make the first lap ghosted.
This will provide adequate separation from the have’s and have-not’s…as generally those who are running fast - respect the craft and will not purposely take each other out.
Incidental contact is part of the sport…but what’s happing in MP lobbies right now - is just downright brutal.
