It’s been nearly a month since I enjoyed a non-private MP race. I jumped in D-class when I got in from work, and saw forum member RPM Swerve there.
“Oh good”, I thought, “Someone who knows how to drive”. I swear he’s the only guy in the lobby who did NOT put me into a wall.
Made it through one race at Rio. The next was at Yas. I took one of the corkscrews a little slow (my 'vette is a “slow in fast out” build) and was rammed by 3 cars simultaneously (while the three were also crashing each other). A 4th hit me the second I got the car straight… rolls eyes
Anyway, I know this post is not unique, and I’m not breaking any shocking headlines here. Just as a longtime Forza fan, I felt the need to share.
This game is fantastic. It is FAR from “unplayable”, as some have claimed. However, the general public is rendering MP unplayable for ME. Penalizing shoddy driving and anti-troll mechanisms should be as high a priority as accurate physics and eye-popping graphics are in the next title.
Name them, shame them, ban them. There just aren’t enough folks like Swerve out there for anything less. I still love to race, any clean racers out there, add me & hit me up. You just won’t see me in a hopper or league race anytime soon.
Hear, hear. I wonder if anybody from T10 races on the hoppers. They should try it out out a for a change. And what’s really irritating is the fact that when you go to the competition league, you’ll see that you’ve been placed in a certain group. Mine’s at elite for both of them. But if you’re so called an elite, one should know how to drive, right?
All you can do is Vote to Kick when in the lobby, and report the driver via the options you get when viewing their Gamertag.
Talk to Snowowl.
There is a Turn 10 member (JohnK) who has been racing with us in Pinnacle this week. Pinnacle’s usually quite clean except for 1 or 2 problem individuals, although there are a lot of “racing incidents” where people crash not out of intent but due to mistakes.
Overall I have noticed that there is a sweet spot in terms of lobby size (usually around 10-12 players) where everything can be clean including the first lap. Get anything more than that and you have too many people fighting for position and lots of crashes towards the back.
I don’t mean to laugh but three cars at once? lol! They need to add a death race 2000 mode. That way your car would just explode into a ball of flames at that point!
I guess I was very sad to see that Wald was posting in such frustration. He’s normally one of the rare type who genuinely seems to make an effort to brighten this place up.
I think the amount of these idiots online hasnt changed. The reason it seems more prevalent in this games is because with more cars in the lobby they are in the same races.
I disagree. There was not a huge, noticeable jump in this crap from Forza 3 to 4. I blame the prevalence of absolutely horrid drivers on the fact that there just really is not jack else to play on the Xbox One, so more people will be playing this game than we normally saw back on the 360, and they’ll be playing for longer because there isn’t as many shiny new things for them to all run to and ruin.
Exact reason why I’m avoiding the rally league for the rest of the week, I’ve been moved up to professional this week and the drivers are even worse on the ramming front than the lower league, you know they are doing it on purpose when they have a nice straight to pass you on but instead decide to sideswipe you off the track…
I said exactly the same thing last to the friend I joined the S-class hopper with, that I’ll never use the hoppers again. The multiplayer racing in this game is just shocking. I used the hoppers in Forza 4 A LOT and it wasn’t anywhere near this bad. Had loads of good racing in Forza 4; what happened? [Mod Edit - OT removed to avoid this becoming just another complaint thread - D]
Time to get the " crash team moderators" back like they had in Forza 4. And I for one would like to be on the team. Online playing is terrible, 24 cars too much.
There will always be racing incidents its all a part of it, we all try to win and improve and its not going to be perfect, if a pass isn’t on dont take it as you will not benefit from it
