Quiting Online Racing!

First of all im a above average driver i try to race always clean…its frustrating.

First hit…ok calm down dont quit try to catch up…second hit uses me as a break shield…very angry but didnt quit…catched up again 3rd place…overtaking went 2nd…final lap.

Booom…and again hit from behind.

I know this isnt anything new for you …but it happens nearly every race. This isnt funny for us clean racers.

Forzas 6 online lobbys are a joke… the only good thing about this are the leagues.

I decided to stop playing multiplayer until something changes…dont matter how many new cars will get added this isnt making any sense for me.

This are my thougts… you have to be realllyy gooood to get in top places when you are racing with 24 players or really lucky.
I hope Iracing or asseto corsa will be available for the consoles soon… so turn 10 can learn from them what real simracing is.

Asseto corsa is in its way but I doubt iracing will be console bound. If you have a wheel/seat setup and are prepared to pay iracings subscription it seems to be a good sim. Remember every game has its benefits and pitfalls. Your not alone in your frustration

I rarely race in the public lobbies now for the same reason. I’m sure the groups of people who join them to crash other people are still having their ‘fun’ and I’m sure the serials wreckers with multiple accounts are having their ‘fun’ too.

The only improvements to lobby racing I’ve seen since the game came out are improved ghosting when people crash at a certain speed and grid ordering.

The solution - leagues i thought. But no they’ve been tailored for the casual racer as well with half of the non dlc stuff being ‘ghost racing’ every week. I checked out the league request thread recently and only found one request for a ghost league yet still they continue because it’s the easy way out. If people can’t crash each other there will be less complaints.

So if you are a semi serious racer the only solution is to get together with a group of friends and race privately. I do this and appreciate having this opportunity on someone else’s server - and pay for it too.

I hope in the long run Microsoft/Turn 10 release a third Forza title then all those who enjoy Hotrods and ghost racing can continue to have their fun in what we call Motorsports now It might have less content but better community features and possibly cross platform - maybe Forza Apex is this

I fell the same Forza lobbies and league’s are a joke there needs to be on track penalty’s with real consequences but Turn 10 don’t care they already got our money

It’s not really racing in the non league hoppers, it’s more about evading all the bad stuff.
The important thing is to never give up.

I never quit I’ll amble around to the pits and then try and get a clean lap in for good start on next race and that should (hopefully!) get me clear of the win-at-all-costs-at-turn-one test pilots

Best thing that can happen is Horizon 3 will be released and all of the kids that wanna wreck will go to that. Horizon, IMO, is the main reason Forza lobbies are so bad. It breeds horrible driving antics…

Agreed, and I can bet that once FM3 is released, F6 will strangely contain clean lobbies. Wonder why? Horizon is a kids’ bait.

Every time I start to feel this way I do something like make a mistake that ruins someone else’s race and I realize… it happens, and it’s okay, and the races are short enough that I don’t have to wait very long for the next one to start.

I quit for the same reason. Hopper racing isn’t fun when you keep getting hit by people that either don’t know how or don’t want to race cleanly.

Leagues got boring after a few months.

I’m not into organised championship racing as I spent years doing that in the past and have moved on.

Hopper racing was my “bread and butter”, and the truly negative experience of it made me not want to play Forza anymore. As a result, I will be even more cautious about buying future titles and will certainly avoid any Deluxe/Ultimate Editions and DLC. I’ve also stopped recommending Forza to friends as I cann’t justify letting more people have their evenings ruined by such a frustrating Multiplayer environment.

I can offer suggestions but several people have been doing so for months and it’s now up to Turn 10 to deliver.

If you want good clean racing than join a league. You’re always going to have one or two wreckers in a public lobby. Just be aware of who they are and where they are on the track.

Think of it as a challenge rather than an annoyance

I’ve gotta say, I think the public lobbies are a bit better than they started and the improved ghosting has helped, but there is a LOT of work left to do. I haven’t ever had a session without a dirty race and/or obvious wrecking, and I spend more races than not working my way back from the tail end of the pack. The best suggestion I saw to encourage clean racing was a time penalty for a 4-off at common cutting locations. Wrecking is a bit tougher to solve 100%, but anything better than putting the whole burden on poor snowowl would be an improvement. I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that Forza is and probably always will be more arcade racer than sim, and I’ll be checking out of the series after this one.

You get better at recovering from crashes and avoiding wreckers, but like people always say, more could be done by T10. I was in a lobby a while back where a guy was wrecking everyone but his friend to help the friend win. I don’t get why collisions are on between cars on separate laps in a normal hopper. The races are so short that only wreckers, bad players, or people who started late can be a lap down.

Yea last title I buy from these guys! Believe it or not the guys that wreck you get looked after better than you. But that’s an argument for another day. Thankfully I’ve moved on! Such a great shame remember the day I love this game.

If T10 was more proactive about the penalties I’d be more dedicated. We can’t rely on SnowOwl because he deserves to have a life outside policing the lobbies. The weather outside is nice so I’m working on my motorcycle getting it ready for up-coming track days, working on the new deck (just the steps to finish), spending time with family and friends and generally not being on the xBox.

So don’t sweat the wreckers. Go outside. Do something.

Let’s see - 1 million or more players and one person to police them all.

Yep, that’ll work. CanI have my bonus now?

Ahh, Capitalism!

multiplayer is a farce, leagues are the only hoppers worth playing imo.

Leagues have disappointed me also lately. Ghost leagues are full of corner cutters and regular leagues are full of " a little tap to push you off and I’ll be on my way" type drivers. I’m only in elite and i doubt I’ll ever play enough to get to pinnacle where hopefully the clean drivers exist.
Agree with the above comments re SnowOwl. This guy does an enormous job and I’m sure all that are aware appreciate him immensely , but it’s time T10 invest in some extra coding or staff for online racing.

The only thing Turn 10 is investing in is another $20,000 fake McLaren P1 to put in their lobby.
