Forza... NOT bumpercars!

Why is it that these league lobbies are just full of idiots that use other people as their brakes. I am new to Forza… Literally been playing about a week if that so I’m still struggling in aspects of the game yet I can still find my brakes. Yes I still have bumps n other mishaps but where highly possible I will give back the position and apologise. I don’t see why lobbies set by the game isn’t full damage and penalties issued like it would be.
Road rage over… Sorry

I completely agree! Bumping on purpose ruins the game for us who are there to race. Forza needs an update for corner cutters as well. F1 2014 and 2015 have it where if you cut a corner even a little you get a warning the first time and then a pit drive thru. Half these guys that are on top of the leader boards I race with on XB1 cut every corner possible or bump you out of the way just to take 1rst position.

Exactly, I’m on XB1 also and that’s the exact same thing. Only a few drivers per lobby if your lucky drive clean but unless your lucky enough to make it round the corners before the pile up your screwed. For what I’ve seen Forza is a highly popular franchise and it is shocking to see how many players drive like this and that the developers are allowing it. As I’ve said I am new and I still have little bumps and some corner cuts where I am not positioned for the turn correctly and I would happily take the penalties as it will help improve my racing. The game does need an update urgently to address this, the League lobbies NEED to be Ghost races and full damage for the other then all newbs can race in Ghost lobbies and higher/pro racers can play properly in full damage races then Leaderboards would be fair.

The lobbies are very imature at the moment… they will get better with time as they did in forza 3-4, eventually the non racer that co es into a p class lobby in a bugatti or mclaren will stop. It took about 2 years for this to happen in other forza games, i believe that it will take longer in forza 6 because the vote to kick is a bit flawed or buggy at best with not being able to remove these bandit driver upon entry or taking 10 races to get them to leave, make it really hard to enjoy lobby racing. This make rivals and leaderboarding more of an interest for faster drivers, this comes with a price becaue you slowly loose the ability to drive in traffic.

You’re not the first to bring this up, and you won’t be the last. There are several threads regarding this, but it is not an easy issue to fix as the problem isn’t necessarily the game, but the people playing it.

I totally agree it’s more the players rather then the game but things can be done to the game to help eliminate these players by introducing the penalties which in fairness shouldn’t be hard for the developers to do and in a quick update  hopefully it does get sorted just sooner rather then later lol

What you’re suggesting was brought up years ago, and hasn’t been seen.

Wow, seriously!! That is unbelievable… So in light Turn 10 believe that their franchise ‘Forza’… A SIMULATION driving game believe that this behaviour is accurate and tolerable in the actual style racing scenes… That has knocked my faith in them, for the rep I’ve heard of them I’m in disbelief over this and surprised many of my friends and majority of the Forza community hold them in such high esteem of this is how it’s always been.

“Game Experience May Change During Online Play”

I find it funny that history of online gaming has showed us there are jerks in every one. Sure developers can do updates sometimes to fix some issues with these people. Those people whose goal is simply to cause trouble for everyone else will find away around it. There is no magical fix to stop every idiot in online gaming.

Project CARS seems to have their penalty system down pretty well, and they had a small, small fraction of T10’s budget to work with.

In reference of this go to Forza 6 Discussion, plenty of info for this topic… many moderators talk about things that you can do to improve your Forza experience. Good luck!

^ Dunno. I never played it.

I’m just saying there is no perfect system that will ever please everyone.

I agree to an extent… I no its not going to completely eliminate these ‘Drivers’ BUT by T10 introducing a penalty system I.e for League Lobbies, put out point deduction’s for high impact etc. There is quite a bit T10 could/should do to at least improve where improvement is needed. As previously said this is meant to be a simulation game… So make it more realistic/accurate to the actual racing world.

I completely agree, it ruins the entire game in total… Every time i join a lobby there will be road ragers who always bump into me therefore making me last when in the first place i was just racing normally. This annoys me, i personally think they should implant a system that targets players that sees if you’re playing as a proper racer or a hooligan lol and it gives warnings etc: lol

Children play this game too, and many are unaware that a forum of the game exists. But really there is nothing T10 can do than implement bans on the players by reports. Just enjoy the game the way it is and hope that the Forza community improves.

I find it absolutely appalling people’s attitude towards gaming nowadays and what they allow developers to get away with. As has been suggested many times there are things that the developer can do to encourage clean racing. The fact that there is almost no negative impact for someone who is set out to destroy people’s fun who just want to race is unacceptable.

The fact that they removed the vote to kick option shows how little they actually care about their lobbies and how clean they are. The big downfall of the old vote to kick was that there was a race to vote to kick if someone knew they were on the verge they would go vote for someone else. Instead of fixing this flawed system and adding to it by say making it so you could vote for more than 1 person at a time they just removed it’s visibility and then later removed it all together.

OK so public lobbies don’t work you say, a simple solution to that was custom public lobbies, they gave the host control and if he/she felt like you didn’t fit in the lobby your gone, now this may not be fair for people trying to improve or for really fast people, OK let’s improve on what we have… oh wait no let’s just remove it instead.

Developers and T10 especially do not usually try to fix things instead they just remove them because if they fixed them someone would still complain so instead of hearing complaints about the effort we put in let’s just not waste the resources and remove it.

There are other games that at least make an effort to encourage clean racing forza may as well sell to ea and brand it as need for speed forza edition if they are going to turn everything into bump and run.

It just amazes me what people are willing to let these developers do and get away with. This is the last forza I will be purchasing unless I hear of major changes and going to stand for my thoughts and not let developers act tyrannical with this you get what we give you attitude.

Agreed. I have enjoyed my time with Forza Motorsport 6 but have noticed a number of things (in terms of featureset and game design philosophy) that have shaken my confidence in Turn 10 to the point where I’m beginning to have doubts about picking up future titles.

Best solution is to join a group or a league; granted it’s time-intensive and generally requires a lot of testing and tuning, but once you find the right group, the racing is much cleaner (almost spotless, in fact) I gave up on hoppers about a month ago after being cost 2 wins in 3 races by someone waiting in the last corner and just casually driving across the track and wrecking me. You don’t have to be fast in a hopper, just lucky enough to get away in the first lap, and that’s just not appealing to me.

Well if you’d raced in the last couple of series you’ll discover that the bumper car kids have actually been given a wonderful gift. It’s in the form of simulated damage. And you would think that this is a good thing but mmmmm not so much. I’d hoped that it would effect those who like to run into everyone like it’s their job but what has actually occurred is that when these special ed graduates run into you and you hit the wall you receive the damage and they drive on. twice i’ve had someone hit me causing damage to the whole front and the guy who hit me drives off and finishes in the top 5 so go figure right?

Op I completely agree. I’ve been sticking to Rivals. I find the multilayer races unplayable.
