The Golf R Mk8 will also be in Horizon 5. Not just Motorsport 2023.

The 2022 Volkswagen Golf R was added as part of the Super Speed Car Pack on the 10th of October 2023

At last, the Mk8 Golf R joins Horizon, but I have a terrible feeling that if I play the new Motorsport, the DLC car packs will be going to the waste because they are available as standard game content in Motorsport. I just collected enough FH5 cars once in for all.

I was really looking forward to the GOLF R, but was immediately disappointed because it is not the “EU/German” version of the car. The EU/German version of the car has enhanced taillights that can be purchased at extra cost with the “IQ Light” package when ordering the car. The current taillights are fitted to the standard Golf. The taillights in the IQ package of the EU/German version look much more aggressive and beautiful. I found it a pity that this was not taken into account, but what I also could not understand was that the GOLF R was added as a manual … The GOLF R or GOLF GTI models are known for their DSG transmission and therefore cannot understand why such details are simply not considered … as a fan of the Golf GTI and R-series simply disappointing…

Unfortunately, they scanned US model version… in US these lights are highest available model as in US is not allowed matrix technology. These are the same lights as German “Plus”.

More like this was all Turn 10 who scanned it because they are from USA. They are also the ones who first mentioned the Mk8 Golf R, so it’s their fault.
