Been asking since H2. Not likely to happen.
Need rearview mirror/cam while in driver view. Same visual as hood view.
Why not?
Cause Iāve been repeatedly asking for what 10 years now.
. How long can I hope and get nothing. I canāt even get an answer as to why. If it works in cockpit it can work in any view so it makes little sense.
There is a small glimpse of hope.
They added the virtual mirror in all views for PC version, in a earlier update.
No explanation why its not on console. Or if it comes. As always.
I was not aware of that. My PC is so old I really donāt use it anymore. I used to play F7 on it sometimes. It was underpowered then. Ok, small glimmer. Horizon needs it as well. To not have a RVM in any sort of racing game is so ridiculous. If itās in any one view I donāt see why it canāt be in all of them. I would assume cockpit uses the most graphical power and it has it so it is bizarre.
This isnāt on console? What the heck?
Yeah, you actually buy Microsoftās hardware and get treated like a second class citizen. Next theyāll be putting all their best exclusives on PlayStation! Wait, what? They already are? Wow, thatāll reduce sales of the next Xbox console.
Ive checked the search bar with variations of the topic header & found nothing.
I follow a couple of Forza streamers on Youtube who play on PC & they have a rear-view mirror in the top middle of the hud (even on chase view) & ive asked them how come I cant get it to enable for console, to which they have replied āits for PC onlyā
The option is in the menu to enable the mirror on the console version, but it wont show up on the in-game hud.
Just wondering why it cant be enabled on the console version?
While im not a fan of the radar in its current form & dont use it, but I do used the rear proximity arrow, but the mirror would really help my racing improve.
I would use the radar if there were an option like in the photo below posted by TSB_Gib
Just a thought.
I donāt normally bother with FM posts these days as I refused to buy FM8 but I was asking for this mirror in all views in FH all through FH3, 4 & 5 as I always use bumper cam with no rear views at all and after seeing it was on bumper cam in FM thought why donāt they have that in FH.
I also suggested the wider mirror option to cover rear and both sides so you can see what the idiots behind are preparing to do to take you out and for some reason bumper cam feels the only one that I like (canāt stand 3rd person views at all and inside views seem restricted).
It was on previous versions of FM so Iām really surprised that itās been nerfed. The fact I could use it in bumper cam in FM5, 6 & 7 was why I was calling for it to be added to FH as it was clearly a simple thing to do.
Why make your games worse instead of better ? ![]()
I found out last night that PC users get a virtual mirror! Why is this not an option for console devs?
YESS!!! I thought I was the only one who was dealing with this cause seriously those rearview camera monitors are way too dim that itās annoying to deal with when driving in the cockpit of both GT2ās and GT3ās.
Iāve noticed that too. These monitors are way to dark, in my opinion.
But i think that needs a own suggestion. (If it isnāt done yet)
Iād rather have the virtual mirror, but it would be good for purists.
I was just ranting about the lack of a rear view option for chase cam on reddit.
Iām kinda fed up trying to give room to faster classes, but not knowing which prox arrows is the faster car/class. Iāll leave room for faster class cars to pass, only to be passed by the car I just flew past and is no competition to me, but now heās holding up the line and Iām stuck getting knocked around.
People say, ohh hold your line the faster car has to make the pass, okay purist, have you tried holding up the s class guys? Half of them are out of control, donāt understand the concept of predictive breaking(especially the ones who donāt use abs) and think they own the racing line.
Something like color corresponding (relative to class) prox arrows would be a nice improvement, but a rear view mirror in 3rd person chase would be an absolute dream.
