Sounds like it might be time to unfollow the tuner you currently follow. Loads of tunes will accomplish those PR stunts with ease…as in, first try. Glad the Ugrundy tunes worked for you though.
@msb247
Glad to know there’s yet another that appreciates ugrundy’s tunes.
There’s been many debates on this thread (mainly good) that consider if their good or just fit for purpose.
As this was initially my thread asking for ugrundy’s viewpoint on the comments (sadly he hasn’t posted yet) I am all in favour of his tunes, though I do agree that they are fit for purpose and there are many superior tunes out there.
For this weeks though, I had to just build my own for the PR stunts as I’m running out of tune spaces.
It’s always another option.
Personally I feel this thread has provided many good points, offered new tuner options that I was previously unaware of and even had posters giving out their own tune methods and full tune breakdowns.
All in all, fairly useful to the community so I see no reason for it not to be an ongoing discussion…
Onging is good.
Ugrundy is still my go tuner. Came through for me this season.
But if I can’t find a Ugrundy tune I’ll go for;
Team Fung,
Ven0em106,
And a couple more I can’t think of right now.
Good to know - I’ll be sure to take note.
Often wondered what happened with Teniente though. He was one of my main ones on FH4 but doesn’t seem to show up in FH5.
Mine too. His tunes in FH4 were very solid.
He seems to me to be absent from FH5.
Must have used The Force in foresight - not to put his hand in his pocket for something he could already see…
Add him as a friend if you haven’t already. I seem to remember a few traces of him early on at least.
Good Shout - though I tend to minimise friends lists to a degree.
Hence why I never use chat links either - another waste of space in the development that could have been better used elsewhere.
Might do a search for him sometime though not sure what cars he’s been tuning.
Agreed. Never chatted with anyone in game. Maybe if we weren’t confined to using their canned phrases, I would have by now, (especially during trials), but it’s likely kept me out of trouble the way it is, lol.
Again - totally agree.
Used to chat - I.e. proper mic chat - on FH3 and occasionaly in FH4 but quickchat seems to have broken all of the actual interaction down completely.
Sad, especially when FH4 was announced as the most interactive game yet but got killed by quickchat.
FH5 is the most silent game yet.
I quite like Urgundy’s tunes for stability. I will tend to go with Urgundy’s for seasonals mainly and occasionally Trials. There are tunes out there more suited to specific races and tracks which Urgundy’s tunes fall down on but overall they are pretty good. I will say that i have used Urgundy’s tunes to place top 1 percent times in Rivals although i find other tuners like GTZ Marple, Greeted Dust, OnlyNaps, etc place me a lot higher. Urgundy in my eyes is a very good tuner.
Ugrundy is more popular then the upcoming Hot Wheels expansion
LOL!!! It would seem so ![]()
Once again, Ugrundy comes through.
I was using the s1900 tune from last season on the Audi for the speed trap. It was a non-Ugrundy I was trying. It did ok on the race but I couldn’t get the speed trap this season. I switched to the 6/17 Ugrundy seasonal tune and did the trap, one and done.
Thanks again Ugrundy.
Yet again - validation that he’s got the tunes despite not being considered by many here as a valid tuner.
Just wish I knew what he was keeping up his sleeve…
No he’s just seen as overrated and their popularity not equal to their actual quality by some of us.
If you ever start trying to get the most from cars in the game you’ll see ugrundy really isn’t that amazing compared to several others, I can’t recall seeing a single one of their tunes as 1 of the suggested options while I’ve been participating in the Rivals Challenge on here for example and I can’t imagine any of the strongest cars in Open are using their setups.
Good enough to get the seasonal stuff done and good full stop are 2 completely different things, your driving ability itself is the biggest factor in the former as my rubbish tune for the VW Bug proved with people winning that seasonal championship just fine with it + the person who writes the weekly events article on TrueAchievements often just does stuff with stock vehicles.
TGM, do you look down at ice cream flavors others like too?
We don’t all like same thing. Period. They all get jobs done. In different ways, to different tastes. Many of us have large list of tuners we use, and sorry you don’t like our choices. I won’t sleep longer than 7-8hrs a night worrying about it.
This whole thread is useless save for a few tuning tips and trying tunes I’d not used.
Most offensive but amusing is UG isn’t here, doubtless aware, doesn’t care either.
@ManteoMax or @WindsweptDragon close this broken record please?
It’s not the same thing though, you can’t prove one ice cream flavour is better than another in any logical or factual way.
The Rivals challenge on here has a good amount of us participating all of different abilities but still all with the same objective, to find the best time possible within our own limits.
When it’s been going since the start of this year so over 6 months and a ugrundy tune hasn’t been suggested as one of the best options a single time doesn’t that tell you something?
I’d expect better from you Sfumato, you’re always keen to tell it straight yet seem to have a problem with me doing just that here.
I haven’t said there’s anything wrong with liking their stuff, but however popular they are they are simply not the best, not even close which is how some talk about them.
If I just wanted to insult ugrundy I wouldn’t be bothering to go into this much detail or provide any evidence to support my opinion on them.
Used my personal tune there. Not sure if that one is shared.
