I’ve just tried to trace my steps I went through and it mightve been the TV that needed update (weird though because auto update is on TV) It’s not showing anything needs updating now.
It is certainly WIFI enabled as it can be used to connect as in input.
Checked the smart view app it’s not listed on there.
Steps I followed on TV
Settings
Support.
Software update.
I’m curious now. I know it has WIFI connectivity as it comes up as input source. Either way it’s fixed and I’m 99.9% sure the soundbar was never the issue as it’s worked fine apart from with the Xbox and that’s been updated multiple times since I last tried DA
Interestingly, if you plug in headphones directly to your Xbox controller or even find a way to connect your amp/sound system to the controller using a pair of standard RCA jacks on one side and headphone 3.5mm jack for the controller - you’ll get no audio delay.
In this case do get the Dolby Access app as that can dramatically lift the sound stage. In your Xbox Settings, choose “Dolby Atmos with Headphones” as the output.
Keep passthrough off in both the audio and Blu-ray settings.
Yes I’ve tried the DA on headphones. Wasn’t blown away by it but I’d imagine it’d be 100x better with a great pair of phones

I tried it with a pair of cheap $4 earbuds.
It was insanely good.
The decoding on the fly when I wear my headphones could that be the noise I’m hearing? like the audio cuts out for a second. I cant stand it when it does that. Don’t remember my old Xbox s doing that only this one. And just w my headphones seems like
It mustn’t have something to do with your headphones, it could be anything.
I sometimes get audio cut off for like 2-3 seconds just playing it on my AVR via PCM. It only happens like once every 90 minutes or something. It’s not that annoying.
Something funny is happening if somebody flips a light switch in my apartment, my monitor flickers for a second. So maybe you experience something similar but with your sound. Devices are sensitive to changes in the power grid in houses, apartments etc. it’s unusual but it can happen.
Sounds like alot of people have audio issues w headphones. Seems great for most part. Like idk like it’s buffering hear a dot dot dot then plays again I know it’s not my isp pushing 500mbps. I clear my blueray storage once in a while to thinking that may help?
It could be anything really.
I used to have an old cell phone that would distort audio when I would get a text but yea not anymore since I got rid of it.
Quick question if you don’t mind. I Gota surround system that takes digital input do I need to turn on pass through so it’ll pass to the receiver?
It depends you choose passthrough if you want it to send the signal to your AVR unchanged (PCM) and bitstream (Dolby Digital, DTS etc,) if you want to send an already encoded signal to your AVR.
If anyone’s in market for headphones I’ma big AKG fan. Their self adjusting models are the most comfortable headphones on earth. You will never get ear fatigue.
Whoa 4 edits. Thats a new record
I said that AKG isn’t a good brand anymore and other things.
It was a great brand 20 years ago, but it isn’t anymore.
Most ppl don’t want to hear such negative things.
What makes you say that? I love em personally an im not bothered by differences of opinion on products.

I do but im still curious to hear your thoughts cuz you do seem like an audiophile. Ive got K612 PROs and have tried almost every other brand and they are without a doubt the most comfortable headphones ive ever used. Ive got a big head so most headphones i cant wear for too long.
Other then that they seem to have a very wide soundstage which is great for FPS games and i prefer as uncolored of a sound as possible for music/ movies.
Also got a pair of K553 MKIIs for traveling. Closed back for at least minimal sound canceling.
I personally cant stand the sound of bluetooth or noise canceling headphones.
For me personally the best are anything Teufel.

You know what I do? I just don’t use any of it.
I have headphones for the night. But else I don’t need them.
You can always plug in the Teufel headphones.

Interesting, i don’t think I’ve ever seen those anywhere in my country. Sweetwater apparently doesnt stock that brand which is the go to music store in north america which i guess explains why I’ve never heard of them haha. Do they make any reference headphones?
Yeah i live in an apartment building so half my media is experienced via headphones.
I barely use headphones so no idea. You can’t buy that anyway I guess lol.
