ok so i thought that by turning on full damage that would also allow for tire wear and fuel consumption but after running a few races that were quite lengthy i didnt use any fuel and my tires didnt wear. so my question here is how do i make this work? i could have sworn i had tire wear in the past in forza 5.
I did a race with tyre wear last night and I had to pit every lap. I got last by a few miles.
do you remember the settings you used to get that to work?
The tires will most definitely wear and the full tank will empty. To get the badge, I ran too many laps to count around Road Atlanta and, by the time my fuel ran out, my tires were toast and I was sliding all over the road.
then how come its not working after 60 minutes on nurburgring? i mean i should have ran out of gas and had tire wear but i didnt. what are the settings you are using to create this?
Are you certain simulation damage is set? This is the only way to get tire wear and fuel depletion.
yeah cuz when i hit another car the front end was damaged. i got the red message indicator.
What vehicle are you using (not that it should make much of a difference)?
I did Nur + GP track with the Formular ford in S class with drag radials and by the time I did a lap by tyers were at more than 50% wear. I computer guy that got fastest lap would of got a #35th on the leaderbords.
i was using an audi sport r8 believe its a p class car. on the screen where it displays the tires near the speedometer, shouldnt that be filled with color? only time i see color in there is when i spin the rear tires. and i dont see a fuel gauge or meter either.
Okay, I think I understand your “issue”. Your car is very likely experiencing tire wear and fuel depletion - you’re just looking in the wrong place. To check tire wear, you need to press ‘up’ on the directional pad and scroll all the way to the right (using ‘right’ on the directional pad) until you are at the ‘damage’ overlay. This will show you the status of your tire wear in percentages. Fuel can be monitored either with the vehicle’s functional fuel gauge or, if you have select HUD options turned to ‘on’, there will be a white bar under the gear number that empties with fuel use.
The on-screen diagram of tires is only there to display tire temperature (heat). It is not an indicator of tire wear.
ok ill check on those. on the hud where is the fuel bar located?
Under the large gear number.
ok thanks, will check when i get home
Tyre wear on forza is and always will be a joke. A group of guys I race with have been using drag tyres since f4 as they wear faster, they make the car handle like poo but not as bad as you would think.
f2 was ok i think.
Horizon = only forza game without fuel/tyre wear (or real dmg, for that matter).
Really, you can slam your car into another at 100mph and drive away? I don’t think so. Also drift around a corner smoking the rear tires for multiple laps and still over 50% of your rear tires left? Wow that is super realistic. Heck you can slam into a wall a few times over 100 before damage even effects the car, where as in real life it would be over right away. There was more realistic damage in GRID. Actually most of the Codemaster racers had better damage then FM. Even EA’s failed racing series had better damage. And none had realistic, cause they all where way to hard to damage car completely, wait there is no total in FM, just slows you down to below 10mph.
What’s yer beef bro? What was in my single-sentence post that enraged you so?
Sorry to wreck your whole day like that homie…

There’s no need flare up for one word, even though I agree with your post. Heck, a person can easily total his car in Need For Speed Prostreet - a slight mistake when flying by at 200 km/h that leads the car to a total wreck.
