I’m still playing Forza 4 but curious as to why there is so much tire wear. On Road America you should be getting around 32 laps before you have to pit, and this is with full damage. Nordschleife should be getting 6 laps before you have to pit. You might want to check your tire pressure. It maybe to low.
There are pit stops in FM4?? Or a need to do so? That’s news to me!
i raced the silverstone hopper. was 75min out befor i pit. had a tirewear of 78%. and it was still possible to run Close the same times just felt a bit more loose in some situations.
all assist off . sim steering.
i made a 14 laps race on the nordschleife+gp with the old f1 cars. in round 7 i had a Crash so i had to pit .tyrewear 50%.
so i think turn 10 choose a very very hard tire compound.
I was looking to start a race with over 50 laps with a heat on Road America. You can set up a private lobby on line. Sounds like someone’s been spending to much time in common lobbies. Oh ya and it sounds like T10 has gotten better with accruing wear and how other parts are affected over the entire chassis during a race.
I hope you’re kidding. You do realize that in this game the F1 car and the Indy cars get like 22 mpg and can run over 50 laps on one set of tires. That is FAR from real wear and usage.
My biggest hope for FM5 was decent modeling for fuel and tire use. After playing way too much FM4, I wanted pit stops at actually be useful for long races. But no, T10 still is hilariously off the mark for tire wear and fuel consumption.
Oh well, soon a Wishlist for FM6 will be opened so T10 can ignore all whole new slew of suggestions what would make for a better racing game. Maybe FM10 will have weight ballast, air restriction, torque vectoring, brake vectoring, brake fade, tire wear and fuel consumption.
Like I said earlier in the thread that I’m still playing Forza 4.
Then why post in the Forza 5 Discussion…
What? Am I not good enough to post in a thread that has nothing to do with what I’m playing? Let’s compare the two games and their content. Quality over quantity. Ha… Who’s benefiting more from their gaming experience? I’m not the one who jumped the gun and bought a console and game shortly after release and assumed they would be getting best thing since sliced bread. I’ll post where I like thank you. And if my insight doesn’t help just say so and you won’t see anymore post from me.
