The FH2 Xbox 360 version differences.

I’m thinking the Xbox One version is just the 360 version with weather, improved graphics/effects, and drivatars, to be honest. As far as the “no story” dilemma goes, I’m sure there is about the same amount of story as Horizon 1. Just ranking up through the festival. I just don’t get how the opponents will be explained, considering they are going to be personal drivatars and not characters like Horizon 1. I’m sure we’ll hear at lot more info at Gamescom.

I’m looking at horizon 2 on 360 kinda like titanfall on 360.
Nobody knew what to expect but it was still a great game so I think it will go well for both versions I hope since I won’t have the one by then

This is completely false and I am sorry, but you don’t know what you are talking about.

For a start, there cannot be the same engines because the hardware is so different that the 360 version will run sub 30fps at 720P. Just look at the hardware and you will see.

Secondly, just because you know about computers doesn’t mean you know about consoles. I assemble computers and repair broken circuits but I can’t take a part a console and put it back together, because I don’t have the expertise.

Thirdly, if, by some imaginable stretch the engine could work on the 360, it would drive the cost up on the game so much that we wouldn’t be getting these games for 50/60 we’d be getting them for 70/80.

Could Horizon 2 still be in Colorado?

No. It has been confirmed to be in the South of Europe.

It’s not.

I’m with the OP… I’m a little hesitant on the differences. I remember towards the end of the life of the PS2, when we had games on xbox360 ported back to PS2, they were DRASTICALLY different. That’s what I’m afraid of. What comes to mind immediately is Test Drive Unlimited. In xbox 360 version you had all features, all cars etc… in PS2 version you had less cars, NO INTERIOR VIEW, no motorcycles and overall just less content. It ended up feeling like an entirely different game!

I know it won’t be that drastic from xbox1 to xbox360, but you never know! I have a feeling weather will be cut and they’ll cut the cars, but release them as dlc. That’s just my hypothesis.

I’m assuming that when the final product hits stores, the biggest differences will be the 360s lacking weather effects and some of that next gen polish. Driveatars may or may not be there. With the car count so high on games like FM4, there really is no reason to believe the 360 will have a lesser number of cars than the X1 version, especially if they aren’t swapping out game engines. It really doesn’t matter to me how large the game is, because I will make any space necessary to play this game the day it comes out, and I intend to buy the 360 version. In fact, the larger the game, the better!

Same! Chances are I won’t be getting an Xbone, I still want a great game! Even though there will be no weather or Drivatars, there still should be a map about the same size & the same amount of cars!

It’s official that Drivatars aren’t featured in the 360 version. Also, the whole non-DLC content in FM3/FM4 are held in two disks, the majority of cars being in the second disks.

still dont made sense about the weather though, if it is not going to happen and there is no pre order offers for the 360 version THEN WHY BUY IT RIGHT OFF??? Turn 10 and Microsoft have bean keep making forza really secret since the xbox one came out (kinda like when forza 2 came out for motorsport on xbox 360 from the original one.) it is just really annoying because there has only bean talk about the xbox one version. Now they are saying there is no rain in the 360 version… Why not? EA sports NFS (and the rest of there sport games that are out side) have rain. but the Rivals game make this more valid because they dont need a next gen console to make a “rainbow in the sky”. so I do believe that there will be rain because all the links about some person saying there is not going to be rain does not seam to have that sentence in the article “there will be no rain” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: so there should still have rain but not the mutiplayer or the graphics

It has been confirmed no rain but I think it’s all for the push of an XBONE. Like you said NFS had it, why can’t forza! They are playground was probably thinking “people won’t buy an xbox one, Sumo (the company making xbox 360 version) take that out!” Also if they REALLY couldn’t, they could make a non- dynamic weather system that just rains randomly! To be honest I would be happy with that! That’s just my opinion tho.

Am I the only one who wants the 360 version to be able to transfer designs from Forza Horizon 1 to Forza Horizon 2?

That should be possible in theory but I’m certain that’s a feature that will be entirely overlooked.

There will be as many cars. Think of the 360 version of an upgraded horizon one. No weather, no drivatars, and no Car clubs (not sure about that).

I was playing Horizon 1 last night night and to me it looks amazing. If the graphics are even a minor upgrade to the original they will be great in my opinion. I am really looking forward to hitting those European roads in the new game. In terms of the car list I would assume it would lean more toward euro and Japanese cars than the first game.

Personally, the only things I want in FH2 for 360 (which is most likely the version im getting) is the same amount of cars (confirmed, I personally loved horizon 1s car list so over 200 will be great), same size map, weather (confirmed not to be in :frowning: so sad about that), and the same amount of music (6 stations) (VERY important while crusing. Horizon 1 had amazing music, but not a lot of it)

Just my thoughts on it.

I think it will turn out great. So far from what I’ve seen they aren’t cutting any cars off the list on 360 but only turn 10 and sumo know that one.

The games will feel somewhat different because they’re not used the same engine. And for that, a different engine can get more or less out of a console depending on it’s toolset. I know FH2 on XB1 is using FM5’s engine, because it will be a lot better on the console in terms of performance hits. I don’t think the weather system will be there at all unless it is rendered using the cloud, which I don’t think it is. I don’t really expect the game to look very good at all on X360.

Some things the X360 version won’t get or will be limited:
PIP Reflections. ( e.g rear View mirror)
Shadows
Ray Tracing (Light Reflections)
Weather System
Particles on the Cars (i.e rain etc)
The Physics will be limited or dampened

others:
A lot of Pop-ins?
Drawing Distance will be reduced a lot
Textures and Damage Models will be very bad compared to XB1
Limited to lower count of players in a given server?

There are a lot more but I can’t write them all.

HELLO THERE,
As a big fan of the Forza series and I always have the xbox 360, is there going to be a big difference with that of the xbox one? do we have the same list of cars? Is it really an open world like the xbox one? there will be climate change? …
In short, what is the difference between the 360 version and ONE version?
I’m curious
