I don’t think there will be any different cars replacing the open wheel cars in FH2 because frankly, there aren’t that many. I just think they won’t be included. Even without the open wheelers, there is well over 200 cars.
For the car list, I’d say that if a car was in either Horizon 1 or FM4, I’d say it’s probably a safe bet that it will be on the list for the 360 version of H2. I know they said that the H1 cars didn’t use the same models as in FM4 (which was why you couldn’t use your FM4 paints on them), but I’m pretty sure that for H1, they exported the pre-existing FM4 models, tweaked them for the H1 engine, and then imported them. So I’m thinking that’s what they’ll do with them in H2. And, of course, the ones that were in H1 are all set and ready to go. Not sure how they’ll work it with the new cars (maybe if they’re not open-wheel they’ll just create a lower-res, “dumbed-down” model… which I’m cool with). At least that’s my theory – I could be wrong.
Also wondering how this is going to affect the DLC (though, I’m certainly not going to kick if some more of my favorites from FM4 make it over to the Horizon universe).
I’m hoping only the Caterham and atom are missing as the ktm is open wheeled in the same way as the former, I hope they do divulge both full lists tomorrow as they’ve kept quiet this long, I don’t mind so much that 360 will have 200 less events to do as500 is still a decent amount, just hope 360 doesn’t lose out on the handful of cars I’m really excited about, rally fighter, VW Camper, Dodge Dart Hemi, hopefully a few gems from forza 4 will feature, fingers crossed the delorean.
Glad to finally see a screenshot though.
Hmm it will be interesting to see if the 360 cars get replaced with horizon 1 cars like the F50gt, gumpert and gallardo spyder or any of the cars from FH1
Might see some interesting differences in leaderboard scores between the 360 vs ONE
You could well be correct, there are 215 cars to be announced, according to the image. That could include all the pre-order cars for the X1, but enough cars to scrap the few open wheel cars in the 360 version, You would indeed still end up with well over 200 cars. That would be fine with me, since there are a few new cars on the current X1 list (like McLaren P1, Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe, Ram Runner and Local Motors Rally Fighter) I would love to enjoy
I do believe so, I posted the same reasoning in another thread. They just want to make it sound bigger for the X1, but it sounds like they’re about the same size and have about the same driving space.
Hey guys, I don’t want to get flamed Down for starting a New thread, so I’ll just ask here:
Have Playground actually told us anything about import from Forza 5 vinyls and liveries? Is that myth busted?
Curiously not. Either it’s not happening or it’s such an obvious feature that they just want us to assume it’s there. Difficult to tell which.
That said, an optimist could assume that since Drivatar progress from the cloud can be carried over to Horizon, paint schemes and decals from the cloud could also be carried over.
What makes you guys think the open wheeled cars will be removed from the 360 version? Is that what it means by “less cars”?
I assume it meant that the 360 verison wont be getting as much DLC cars or the exlusive X1 built (besides hurrican) cars for it, but otherwise, will still feature all we’ve seen so far.
If they do have a seperate list for the 360, id like to see it asap.

On an important side note…I wonder if the SOUND QUALITY on both versions will be different? They have said previously that engine audio/quality on the xbox one is much better than it has been on “last gen consoles” so the question is…does this mean the 360 version is going to have rubbish audio assets compared to the X1 version? I assume we’ll soon see.
Open-wheel cars are dependant on the Forza 5 physics engine. There’s a lot going on between the wheels and the chassis that needs to be simulated properly, among other things
Again, the Forza 5 engine handles sounds in a different way to Forza 4’s engine. I imagine they’ll use the same core sound assets but they’ll ultimately sound a bit different. It won’t sound ‘Rubbish’ though.
I’m worried about some of the features that I have seen in videos of Horizon 2. Including the dirt spray on the cars…The insane amount of freedom in XboxOne…What cars will be in the game…If the Rewards will be included in the Xbox360 version, and other stuff. Because it wasn’t that difficult to put Dirt spraying in NFS: rivals, or any other Xbox360 game that had dirt spray on cars.
With the small amount of actual Freeroam in Horizon 1, i’m worried that they will put that into the Xbox360 edition, and put ACTUAL free roam in the XboxOne version. And the other thing, is that they couldn’t put Rain into the game on Xbox360? Really? I don’t understand that. But i’m still super stoked for the game, and I think that they’ve done a good job advertising, and i’m hoping that they own up to that with the complete.
The free roam worry I can put to rest by quoting the official news release here in the website regarding H2 360 below. The rest I don’t know. It’s not that they can’t put rain into the 360 version, it’s that they don’t want to do so. The difference between the XO and 360 version would become very marginal if they did so, it’s a marketing choice.
of course there’s free roam, there’s even online road trips, challenges ect most of the online stuff seems the same apart from the instant stuff and car meets
NOT A WISH LIST THREAD…
All I happy that they have a second one for the 360. Like most I cant afford a one, and my close friends haven’t made the switch either. Plus my 360 works just fine.
I am sad that nothing has been said for 360 yet aside from the normal chat. I am hoping car list will be the same. The car list thats out already man it makes me want the game even more. Plus mention of tuning is nice and I am hoping that happens on the 360 I am hoping if it does happen its like fm4 instead of the other racing games that have a couple of sliders. On h1 there are some cars that would rock with tuning. Btw so if they dont have it then I guess I will live with it.
If the map is x2 bigger I am hoping that means a lot of driving space off road trails etc kinda like tdu2 style.
I am still getting the game regardless of features plus its a fully paid pre order. Been paying on it since august.
. plus I been a fan since fm3. Granted I dont have them games any more.
Why bother making a game if your not going to talk about it? I understand suspense but people ask questions they should show the guts for both and then people will choose to buy a one or 360 version.
Well some cars were only made for the One version so the list will be different, they havent said which ones though, but im pretty certain the open wheelers wont be in, 360 cant handle the model needed for that
true but didnt fm4 have open wheel cars? but anyways its not a major downside (i am hoping that ram runner is in the game for 360). i guess i will wait until it comes out for 360.
