Saves - Blocked words for license plates and shared file names

Here’s the list of non offensive words that everybody agrees on:

There. There’s the list. Let’s enjoy all of them.

I just tried to name an Alfa Romeo tune ALFALFA and was denied lol

it offends other types of plant, maybe?

sorry, dots are offensive to dashes so that’s not allowed either

It seems to be used as manure, so that might be why.

not manure, no, it’s a feed crop - it becomes manure, maybe, but after some . . . processing

Good for the flowers :horse::poop::arrow_right::rose:

I named a tune I made for the BT62 “S2 998 8.4 V10” and couldn’t share it because of the filter. Bruh.

Reading through this thread seeing the things that are blocked by the filter, in addition to my own experiences, is literally depressing.

what’s really depressing Microsoft’s lack of will to do anything about stuff that really is a problem

they control this mad offensive word thing, it’s over the heads of PG and T10

they also control what gamertags are allowed and as I’ve written before, search for gamertags starting “nilkig”

I feel obliged to repeat that from time to time as (1) what is allowed is proper outrageous, (2) the list of offensive GTs is still there or has been replaced after others were deleted (yeah, right), (3) there is a tiny (really, really tiny) hope that someone at Microsoft reads this and (4) even if they do there is an even tinier (practically nonexistent) hope they put some sense into their systems.

Try, ‘Uber’ :+1:

Not interested.

From what I understand, the situation has gotten even worse, and this topic seems to have been shuffled off to the bin.

It doesn’t seem like it’ll improve. The will for humans to drive is strong, but apparently the “demand” for AI to take over every aspect of life is “stronger”.

Thinking it’s time I moved on. Take care, ya’ll.

I was in a trial with a drivatar gamertag that said, basically, to set fire to people who belong to a very large religious group. I assume I would get banned for even writing it here. but I can’t write “turbo” in a tune name

this is the issue that I see - it’s quite possible to circumvent or otherwise come up with something that really IS nasty

turbo
ferrari
taxi

in a car game

F F S

(though it being a car game is irrelevant, it’s a Microsoft-level thing so it’ll be done for whatever crazy political reason - be it geopolitical or political correctness)

I saw that one too, but I forgot to check my recent players list to report it. (This happened a couple years back.)

nothing’ll change; I reported via T10 about one that started “nilkig”, then I searched for gamertags starting with that, got annoyed and contacted Microsoft about that - so of course, nothing changed

Ferrari isn’t blocked for me. Water and think aren’t either. :person_shrugging:

I would like to hear about what’s been fixed / unblocked sometime.

fair point

I’ve also seen gamertags suggesting death to certain groups of people, but like you mentioned they’re still there too. It’s disappointing to say the least.
