I have some description for tunes named “OEM transmission swap official correct gear ratios” that first passed and used it for a dozen or so tunes, but later was blocked. I have no idea which word triggered it.
I don’t think I’ve come across anything in plates where I wasn’t purposely trying to test if something modified but with filtered connotations would be accepted (I never kept anything that did accept) but in tunes and photos it seems that anything FXXK for the Ferrari of the same name gets flagged for obvious reasons but in FH4 I did get a message about trying to name a tune “Last Chance” for the championship of the same name (Last Chance Saloon)
The thing I question about xbox is that they understandably have a very strict word filter but no moderation of the game reviews. There are some truly unhinged and offensive reviews on many games in the xbox store
I had “eyes” flagged on a vinyl once
I’d say it’s “trans” that gets blocked.
this whole system is a joke. there’s literally no defense for it. nobody is offended by the #14 or the word FAB
somebody flag this post and prove me wrong.
One thing with these all filters is that they are mostly designed for English language, so if you use any other language they might block some very normal words and then you have to work around that.
Like for example I used to play alot on Playstation 3 and we used the chat feature there and chatted in Finnish, it blocked some normal words, one word it always blocked was my own username which didn’t make any sense.
I believe any number starting with 3 was banned, so this might be a similar pattern ban.
GT4, 66, Charger, Hellcat, Widebody, & Co
Few I had found working on my Super 7 project
I’ve spent the last 15 mins. trying to pass a description but it keeps getting blocked. Can we please cut this overly sensitive nonsense??? I am not using ANY bad no no words whatsoever.
Title:
Taxi Gang red / Taxi Merc red
Description:
Have tried the following words:
Taxi 1998 getaway car Mercedes red MD10 silver rims wheels most accurate
I really don’t know which words cause the block. This is SO STUPID.
I think “taxi” is blocked for some reason?? But whyyyy???
Yeah, it’s taxi. No idea why. Queen used to be banned. But not king. But that eventually got fixed, for what it’s worth.
Could it be that taxi is banned because of all the “fake taxi” liveries?
Don’t think of it in terms of Forza. These filter lists appear to be Xbox-wide, so it’s more like trying to avoid things that are offensive or potentially offensive (regardless of context)… which is challenging.
More likely its “tax” because theyre a british company and are still upset about that whole ‘boston harbour thing’
Ran into the same issue a couple weeks ago; “taxi” is the trigger…
Good luck with that. From my personal Expierience and What other people on other problems Have talked about, xbox hardly does offer support ever. They just tick the problem as solved after waiting for enough time to pass.
Its why i dont even bother writing tickets anymore.
The following were all blocked in FH4 recently:
Garrett Turbocharger
Garrett
G
G a r r e t t T u r b o c h a r g e r (Yes, with all spaces between.)
KKK Turbolader (Not surprised by the first initials, but the rest?)
it’s an MS-wide thing, PGT10 have no control, so it’s the vagaries of whatever is perceived by MS as being offensive
it’s insane, though - just search Xbox for gamertags starting “nil kig” but only if you want to be depressed
those are okay - makes a total mockery of the intended concept
Maybe MS could put their AI to work on contextually identifying patterns that are intentionally offensive, rather than just making Swiss cheese out of the language.
I think it’s better to make a topic about words that are allowed.
