Hi guys, I’ve been observing people who’ve bought the ultimate edition having their genuine concerns, and complaints go basically unanswered. And even a snarky reply from community manager (Dan Greenwalt).
I’ve seen a host of genuine complaints like:
Lack of Hoppers
Not hearing own car
One Super Drivatar
Lack of features from past games
To you Forza guys that’ve been playing FM6 over the past 5 days, and Forza games in general, over the past 10years… Given T10’s track record…
Which if any of these complaints do you see being addressed? And when?
And/or should us potential buyers be prepared to be “takin’ for a $pin”?
Max was saying they HAVE been answering some things on the forums especially about the Drivatar issue. Admittedly they haven’t answered all concerns (lack of hoppers being my personal gripe at the minute - fingers crossed that will be resolved soon)
My question to you would be did you enjoy Forza 5? This Forza may not be perfect but moments like doing 260mph down the old muldanne straight at Le Mans at night with just your headlights for light to me make it a worthwhile experience.
Oh and FYI - Dan Greenawalt is not a community manager - try creative director!

@fans I wasn’t aware we’re supposed to chase T10 around the internet (I don’t have that much time). I still see no answers here however.

IMHO… I do not think any of the issues will be addressed based on T10’s track record by never admitting the errors. With that stated, I feel FM6 is a better overall game solely based on career mode due to the variety of the tracks. This keeps things fresh, though I would have liked even a few more tracks like Motegi, Suzuka, and Mugello all which have seen Forza games in the past.
Now with respect to things I hope they address:
Tx wheel issues
Internal engine sounds are more audio options for tires, engine, opponents engine and road noise
Cockpit. Position Adjustments
Qualifying vs just practice
More Customization of races in free play
The Drivatar for me is not that big an issue as I can catch them at times and if I do t I simply. Ignore the fact they are there. Although I remain hopeful this game will get more attention than the ones in the past… !
Now I’ll bet my last dollar car DLC and maybe even a Porsche pack is are in our future because that will generate revenue. A shame they never offer tracks, I’d buy everyone if incorporated into game properly.
A game this size, not everything can be 100% perfect for every single player.
I am sure everyone can find a few things to dislike. Of course some issues may weight harder on some than others.
To me its still the best racer on offer, on any platform. Fine physics, tons of content, and straight into the action gameplay. And it made racing in the rain enjoyable :) In the end its about personal preferences though.
The rain racing is my biggest gripe with this game, its amazing, yet only 7 tracks have a rain option, which i think is poor.
O.P, t10 have fixed hoppers and drivatar issues in the past so I expect them to fix these, i dont think they have ever changed core mechanics to my knowledge, so i dont expect extra audio sliders to be added or anything like that to change the engine sound level (silly single slider)
To add to it, I myself thought Dan’s twitter comment seemed snarky but it was not. I don’t use Twitter, but apparently there is a 140 character limit on tweets and he did not intend for it to be snide or snarky.
I’m usually the very last person to lose my temper on anything if at all, but I’ve complained too much about some of the things others have as well in the last few days and sure enough we’ve gotten quite a few responses from T10 guys on most all of the larger complaints. Even Dan himself came in to clarify what he meant by his twitter post, and was still nice enough to not directly call me out for a very inappropriate remark I had made about him earlier in the same thread. One of our mods did, and I thank him for it (Hieronymous or however it’s spelled) but either way, if you spend too much time reading people’s complaints you will begin to believe them and think they’re somehow much worse than they actually are…
What I’m trying to say is, I suppose, it is really a fantastic game. Yet another awesome experience from T10 and likely will end up being my favorite of all time so far even over FM4. Like any game there might be a few blemishes at the beginning but these guys are working very hard on fixing what needs attention. I think you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not getting the game or at least trying it. They are in the process of fixing the drivatar thing as we speak, Dan himself said so.
There are a ton of other examples out there, the folks are FM/T10 are listening, they are investigating. They have not addressed every single detail or everyones wish-list wants, nor would it be reasonable for them to do so, but comments are read, feedback is read. Have a bit of patients. I happen to think the FM Community is the best gaming community that supports any game that I have ever played. None of the other games have anything to this level for information, support, and a place to share your voice and have it seen. (even if you do not get a personal reply, everything is read) Not to say there are not other great communities out there in support of games, just not any I have seen.
In regards to the game, Its a fantastic game, the Demo should have shown you that. Is it perfect? No
Is it every single thing on your wish list rolled up into one single game? No
It is not reasonable to expect that. It is fun? Yes
Will things get fixed and addressed? Yes
If you like racing, if you like great car selections, if you like innovation, if you want to see what T10s vision was, and the passion they put into the project… then buy it and play it. That was my motivation and that is why I bought it and I have enjoyed playing it.
Opinions my vary, just my opinion, but i think you are missing out on something fun if you don’t give it a chance.
