yeah the world record holder for the fastest lap on the game for road america is slower than a lvl 100 racer lol
Are you the fastest driver in the world in Forza? By your own admission you usually only place 4-5th while having a 4700+ skill rating (which doesn’t mean much IMO), so wouldn’t that mean there are faster drivers than you?
I can’t tell you how many races I’ve had where I’m 3-4 seconds per lap faster than 2nd place. I had a race last night where I was 6 seconds a lap better than 2nd place! My skill rating fluctuates between 4980/4990 so I know I’m not the fastest driver in the world and I do occasionally run into them.
Just because someone is a few seconds a lap faster than you doesn’t mean they’re cheating. It just means you still have more room to improve skill-wise.
Just post a video or the track and the times those ‘cheaters’ are making.
There are a lot of fast drivers there.
“S rated 4700+ lobbies”
Lmao okay. Those don’t exist. It’s more like 2500-4999 lobbies. Doubt you’ll ever find a lobby with more than 1-2 4900+
Maybe he qualified in softs before rain came down. Happens sometimes.
hold on what? thats an actual thing in this game?
Changing tires during qualifying? Yeah just go pit.
I think he meant the changing weather during qualifying
Seen that a couple of times… Usually I run a few laps practice before quali and when you’re unlucky u get rain and have no chance for pole
I just got demolished by OLR SchumacR. Dude is way too fast. 4s faster than anyone else.
It’s completely normal. In rainy practice days i normally practice on wets and when rain stops, i quickly change tires to soft and go qualify. I had those opportunities… it’s interesting and funny. But not allways there is a moment when rain stops.
no i mean the weather… like id understand it if he qualified in full dry while we qualified in full wet as it was. but we saw no dry session?
It doesn’t even have to be fully dry to achieve a time like what you posted earlier. It could even just be dry enough on the racing line to get a time like (which is still about 5 seconds off of what the best times are in the dry). I’ve had a decent number of practices and qualifiers personally where it isn’t completely wet enough for wets, but just wet enough to make you struggle with slicks if you’re not careful.
Also with Forza’s dynamic rubbering of the tracks, maybe he was finding grip on the wet part of the tracks and not the racing line which will be very slippery due to the rubbering in.
From what I see and understand …
There’s an exploit where you can swap aspiration and motor quickly, and the game thinks the motor you swapped is N/A when it has a turbo.
Fast times.
But. Exploit only works in practice, not qualifying.
Same guy that was 30 seconds faster than us in practice is 4th qualifying.
I have never seen the player who was way faster in practice outperform in qualifying, or race.
Run softs and 2 laps of fuel, forget the 3rd lap. That’s how you qualify.
I dunno. I’d say matchmaking works in some ways. After I had revenge on one rammer I was bumped to A safety class. And those lobbies are much worse. Players don’t brake after long straights wipeing out others. Some were going against traffic the whole race, shadowed but still idiotic acts. And so on… I have never experienced anything like this (bad) in S class. On the other hand, I rarely had a trouble free S class race.
Funny you say your lobbies were worse when Reddit was saying dropping from S gave cleaner races.
Someone tested the matchmaking with their girlfriend by joining the same hopper as separate parties and a rank differential of over 3000 points didn’t even matter, they joined the same lobby.
There’s no where near enough players for the system to even work properly if it even did work at all.
Like i said - I don’t know. This is just my assumption based on my experience. The matchmaking works or not, is buggy as hell. I had one multiplayer session completely alone. No one has joined the lobby during the whole 25min practice. The lobby after was packed again. So, go figure
Sure i seen that exploit or something similar last night, guy was 2 seconds a lap faster than anyone else on Lime Rock in the spec BRZ.
I know there’s some seriously quick racers out there but in a spec car with low PI on a short track did make me wonder. What made me decide it was maybe an exploit was the way the guy passed me on the straight like i was standing still, honestly, it was like the car was in a class or 2 above the spec motor.
I can do 27s on mid ohio. Am I a cheater now? You better report me fast !
Why do people automatically think that just because someone is faster than them then they are cheating?
I don’t like mid ohio and have never used a TC on it but i’ve just tried it and managed a mid 1:28 within 5 laps and that was pretty sloppy.
I’m always a couple of seconds off the top guys so a 1:26/27 seems about right to me.
