Anyone going to bring up the fact there are horrendous cheaters in GT series lobbies even at S rating 4700+ skill rating…
The ive been using the M8 the whole time and I’ve been noticing the Bentley and R8 are just on a whole new level of pace so i thought why not get the Bentley and give that a go. i average a 2nd - 4th in qually in the bmw and race either a podium or 4-5th on average…
so tested the bentley, tuned it to my driving style and boom way off the pace of the BMW on the same track by a good 2 seconds… im no slow driver ive set many track records in previous forza’s and yeah ive never seen this level of cheating in a forza game.
tested this back to back and online and yeah people are cheating with 3-4 seconds a lap quicker than 2nd in online lobbies 100%…
Let me see if I understood…
You’re saying that there were a couple of cars that you noticed that were faster then yours so you decided to give it a try with one of them and actually they were that fast as you noticed before…
Correct?
So, there are some people that drive other cars that are faster then that particular one you were using and… where’s the cheating there?!
totally miss understood. bare in mind im in S rated 4700+ lobbies… you need to be a quick and consistent driver by all accounts to be in these lobbies.
The cars are 4-5 seconds a lap quicker compared to 2nd in qually… (not sure how anyone can be that much quicker in any lap) tbh. especially when 2nd3rd 4th 5 and 6th are all so close on times…
the last forza lap times in the top 3 used to vary by maybe 1 second max. and the test I’ve done is setting a lap in my BMW which technically is better in every way when it comes to stats vs the Bentley yet the Bentley online absolutely walking away from anything including the meta R8… yet when I’ve tested the Bentley I’m slower than the BMW.
I see what you mean now and that’s not only on the GT Series, happens in others too. But that’s still no cheating, There’s simply some cars that properly tuned are really good at certain races and let’s be honest, I consider myself a fairly good Forza Player but there are some people that are realy good at this. I’ve seen those gaps in the pre-race and during the race let me tell you that the ones that got those gaps, made them worth during the race and there was no cheating.
Myself, I’ve just maxed the Subaru in the Forza Touring Car Series and it’s a A Class among the rest of S Class cars and still I eventualy got a Pole Position and made a few Podiums.
That’s what I’ve experienced regarding that time gap you mention.
i have definitely witnessed this. i had taken a tune from a rivals leaderboard and went to the same track i got the tune from and qualified 3rd after putting up a time that was really close to the top 100 rivals time and still was beaten by 5 seconds by an r8
either the car is absolutely insane or he has a mod menu that allows maximum downforce and max speed. i thought maybe this was far fetched but i watched the replay lol dudes lines were absolutely perfect everytime no wheel slips no nothing
Can you please provide us with concrete numbers other than “they’re 3 seconds faster”!?
I’ve seen people crying on Reddit about cheaters in Forza GT class and then they proceed to post a screenshot of people doing a 1:44.5 on Kyalami.
I’m S rated with 4999 and I usually lap people 1sec faster. The thing about the Bentley sounds suspicious, but the R8 makes sense. It is indeed a META car.

I don’t know about that, the rating system isn’t that accurate imo. I’m rated as S 4758, but while I’m better than average, I wouldn’t call myself a fast driver. In the races I’ve done there’s a fairly large speed difference across the grid.
It would be best if you said the lap times people were getting on tracks.
I was just about to create a new post about online cheating at Mid Ohio, the first corner can be cut across the pitlane. Now some of you might say there is nothing wrong with that but there is a clear curb separating the pitlane and the apex.
The video below shows me in 3rd chasing the leading pair, I make time on them during the lap but they pull away in turn 1 with this exploit, you can see them cut across the pitlane and kick up dirt.
Man, i was getting blitzed by 1.2 secs per lap on Seca by 2 guys in the spec M3s, i’m no slouch but those guys were fast, couldn’t say they were cheating tho.
I’m not sure eveyone that’s fast is cheating, though I admit I have seen a lot of questionable people. I have the feeling there is some input smoothing being applied to keyboards (to make it drive-able) and to a lesser extent on controllers, but I feel the smoothing is removed for wheel users. And I’ fine with that.
What leads me to believe that, is a driver in a lobby I was in was pulling super fast laps and they had a memorable name. The next day I was talking in discord to a couple drivers and mentioned them and was told they are a youtuber that plays on keyboard. So I went and searched them out and sure enough they use a keyboard and are seriously talented at it.
As for Mid-Ohio, It pisses me off to no ends when I see that. Sure they get first but at the cost of robbing the drivers behind that choose to follow the rules. Deplorable if you were to ask me. Since the penalty system is “AI” how can it be so dumb as to not be able to see a full speed cut like that and not DQ them after three times?? What do they care if they get a 1 second penalty by doing it, they make up 1.5 to 2 seconds by the move to start with. As long as they stay below the 12 second mark they never get DQ’d.
Also just saw the same act being used on Maple Valley full (using pit lane to extend the corner)…
i checked the rivals global leaderboards for R class cars (they have max 900 ratings) our Gt series only allows around 830 with minimum upgrades the fastest lap in the world on the track was 1:55.705
The cheater in question dropped a lap time of 1:36.550 with no track limit infractions in a ford falcon (785 s class car)
I’m not the one to call hacks just bc someone is a few seconds faster than me of course it’s frustrating but the 2nd fastest qualifying time was 2:04.450
i have never seen a sub 2 minute time on road america and im almost max skill rating lmao so i see a lot of great racers
if he was 2 seconds faster i wouldn’t bat an eye about a him cheating it’s the fact he was 45 seconds ahead of any time for the entire 30 minute practice run with 0 track limit infractions and immediately left the game when we called out “cheater in the lobby”
top qualifying time was 2:04 and the world record for the s class time trials was 1:55.705 and he beat the world record by 30 seconds in a slower car than the one used for the rivals lol
I have another problem, I am only 4200 rating but I am in GT lobbys full of ppl doing 1.12-1.13 on Hakone. I do like 16th place with 1.14.9. Few weeks ago this time would be enough for like 5th place now its bottom.
What is wrong with my lobbys? Ppl are doing insane times. I really hate the tuning aspect of the game, I am not car engineer.
Really not fun anymore. Where are the noobs and casuals like me? Only pro gamers and cheaters are playing?
Yes that is definitely wrong then.
You cant compare Rivals times because it has no “rubber in track” and the fuel cell is loaded to the brim. So cars are several seconds slower. I’ve driven many times that would beat world record boards but that’s because of said weight and rubbered in track.
I remember seeing a video of it being possible to load a tune that is out of class, maybe he was doing that? Since there hasnt been a patch in some time now, I have no idea if this issue is fixed.
Rating systems don’t work. I’ve been 4900+ since release and I get people in my lobbies that can barely get round corners. Actually most of them are like that.
You’re out of luck if you want to play people on a level playing field.
