New Forza Aero

But how will we know what game we’re playing if they change the adjustable aero?! /s

The design of Forza Motorsports 2023’s Aero and Appearance Parts seems to be using the design that has been said to be bad for a few years ago.
Typically, I often hear that the design of lace parts is very, very bad, and I think so, too.

For example, the design of the rear wing for racing has been less used in real-life race cars for several years, and even just from a design perspective, I think it is very ugly compared to the rear wing used in recent race cars.
The current design of the rear wing for racing is so outdated that it is no longer used in real-life race cars or even in the design of commercial sports cars.
It must be changed to a design in real that many people and race teams use because it is more trendy, cooler, and performs better.

And rear bumper parts for racing. This is really serious.
In some cars, when replacing a race bumper, you can see a significant increase in performance just by adding ‘one tow hook’.
Even someone who knows nothing about cars would find this very strange.
Think about it. Do you think it makes sense to say that adding a tow hook to a car increases downforce or improves airflow?
This is a very important issue that absolutely must be changed, and it is only natural that other aero parts, such as an additional diffuser or a very good tuning kit that is sold in reality, should be added in addition to the tow hook.

Race front bumper. The design of these parts also seems very strange.
The current design appears to be ‘just an addition’ to the original car.
But what about when we actually tune our cars? Instead of just attaching parts, parts for tuning are attached after removing or cutting off part of the original part.
Cars tuned in this way not only have tuning parts added, but also remove some of the original parts and replace them with tuning parts, which reduces weight, and in terms of design, it looks much better than the original version.

To be honest, the current race parts look like they were made very roughly, just by taking old modeling and attaching it in a minute because the boss said, ‘Please add race parts as well.’
So, I think this is one of the parts that absolutely needs to be changed because it often looks very unnatural in terms of design.

Overall, the current race Aero and Appearance parts have a very strong feeling that the creators made them roughly without any reference or reference to actual race cars that are actually running in reality.
Despite the 6-year development period and the high price of $69.99 for the standard version, the fact that there is no detail like this makes the suspicion that the game was made sloppily very strong.

In addition to this, there are many, many parts that feel lacking or disappointing in detail. However, since the topic of this article is Aero and Appearance parts for racing, I will stop talking about it.

Please, please try to make us really like Forza.

Cannot agree more.
Having just finished a DTM livery for the Mercedes 2004 C Class. Finding that the body kit options were so lacklustre gutted me. Rear kit was a tow hook, front was a bit better but not much, the hood was just hood catches.

No proper widebody kit even though the builders cup series is very close to a DTM series (BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz) i was honestly just gutted.

Splitters aren’t unfortunately for GT7

This game could use a few more wide bodies. I was missing the E30 wide body from FM7/FH5 for example. Or the adjustable factory Wings from E30 and E36 from FM2.

But they’ll always come with universal parts like the rear bumpers, because there are so much cars. I think the rear bumpers are more for performance than for the look. And i prefer them this way instead of the universal solution from FM2. These rear bumpers were also all the same, and the exhaust pipe always out of the tailgate. This was so ugly, but the performance was excellent.
Let’s hope they add better Aero kits on by one. FH5 gets new Bodykits now and then. And they also brought racing upgrade kits for Lancia Delta S4 and Lancia Stratos. Maybe the 2004 Mercedes and Audi get one of those too sometime.

BUT all the cool body conversions are hidden and locked behind car level 45!
This has to change first!!!
Please support those discussions and suggestions wich promote that.

How about this too:
Why can I remove the bumper of some older cars and have aero as two separate options, but I can’t have both together? Some bumpers are just hideous, I would love to be able to remove them and also have aero

Ya i played it u can even put wings on classic cars in gt7

what would be cool would be upgrades where you can choose the side panel on the wing and have upgrades be like lip wing, low wing, medium wing, large wing, and double wing for ALL CARS with like 10 different side panels for the wing.

Lip wing

Low wing

Medium wing

High wing

double wing

why wouldn’t they just replicate a modern voltex wing or somthing

3D modelling is too difficult for them, it seems.

They should make a Forza App where you can watch your replays and stuff but also be able to vote for topics, to get a better view about stuff the community wants.

But enough off topic… before GT7 I never thought about wings but with a small change the whole car can look different. I hope there will be other options soon.

I would love for the option to modify the Forza wing like in GT. But I would be happy with more Forza aero options. Just a couple to mix things up a bit. My idea would be to give each car a couple styles of Forza aero this way if one doesn’t look quite right chances are one of the others might work. This way they don’t have to be tailored and would include more options for players.

I forgot I even said this, I will consider this my contribution to improving Forza Aero.

So this is the third highest voted item. Is there any action being taken to implement some different wing designs for the active aero options?

Even making classic car Forza aero available for all cars would make it better from get go. “Modern” Forza Wang is just ugly, and for most of cars it’s just too big.
Also option for front Forza aero w/o canards would be good too, lip itself is not that bad.

I also think that some Race Aero could be using some aftermarket part with some extra aero piece added. Think of ABT parts on the newer Audis, the front bumper with an additional splitter, the rear bumper with an enhanced diffuser, the rear wing with a Gurney Flap, all that instead of default Forza parts.

I would love it if we could get different tiers of aero, like Lvl 1, Lvl 2, Lvl 3 etc.

Each Lvl has more downforce but obviously more drag, starting with cheap club racing aero to full out time attack aero.

It would also be amazing to have underfloor and diffuser upgrades, to create proper GT3 etc like builds.

Forza aero is in dire need of an update. Hoping new aero is incorporated sometime in the near future. I would like to encourage the devs to take inspiration from the race cars in game. Their aero is designed purposeful and look elegant. So IF the devs are reading this I ask for them to please look into this. I know they are busy and there is a lot going on. Especially with the major updates coming. But please do not forget this detail. Immersion is negatively affected if the car does not look the part. Even with good physics. Thank you.

The Crew Motorfest has multiple unlicensed spoilers for a lot of cars. Same for body parts. Why won’t Forza do this?
