Hi people! A proposal to make all aero parts able to grant the performance benefit, so that from a styling perspective you can have tunes taking advantage of the various bumpers and spoilers and not be restricted to using the base Forza bumper and spoiler for downforce control.
I agree. I’d also like to be able to choose the wheels on someone else’s tune, even if they’re the stock ones
or if the splitter or spoiler isn’t adjustable, then tell us how much they will add.
Now if we want to have adjustable aero, we are forced to use Forza splitter and wing, which sometimes (well, with my taste, most of times) ruins the looks of the cars.
Some cars (especially super/hyper cars) have stantard aero parts, for example, Mclaren Senna, does have a beautiful adustable active rear wing, but we can’t get adjustable aero from it, if we want to adjust it then we have to change it into the forza wing, that was so disapointing.
Still, could be worse…
We already have so much good looking modification parts available, but we can’t use them if we want actual performance, what a huge shame!
If we can get performance from these parts, we can get different looking cars we want, and, most importmently, with actual performance, instead of forced to racing with cars looks in same, if we want to be competitive.
Many cars have multiple rear wings available as upgrades, or even come with big rear wings as stock, but cant adjust them, whereas there are multiple vehicles that have fully static rear lips that are somehow considered adjustable while others, for some reason, are not. Its good that those rear lips are adjustable, but full on wings should be adjustable as well so that people can have more creative freedom while remaining competitive and effective with their tunes.
Some egregious examples are the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE, which comes stock with a big rear wing that cannot be adjusted but can be upgraded with a completely static rear lip that somehow can be adjusted. Both options should be adjustable, I shouldn’t be forced into using terrible forza aero for adjustable downforce if I want a wing on my car instead of a lip. Another example is the 2019 Corvette ZR1, which comes stock with a massive rear wing that cannot be adjusted and its only other option is forza aero which is ironically a smaller wing than the stock one, while the standard C7 Corvette comes with a static rear lip which is adjustable. Yet another example is the 2002 RSX Type S, which has 2 full-on big wing upgrades that cannot be adjusted, the Mugen and Ings wings, and then the awful forza aero which is adjustable. The 2003 Toyota Celica has 6 wing options that cannot be adjusted, and only 3 that can, including forza aero. The 2013 Audi R8 has one of the biggest rear wings in the entire game and it cannot be adjusted. The 1997 BMW M3 has 2 completely static rear lips, one from Rocket Bunny and one from SF LA, and for some reason known to no man, only the SF LA lip is adjustable? There are very very very very many more examples of these arbitrary, senseless limitations, these are just some that annoy me the most, especially the Corvette ZR1 as this problem has been present since FH4 with no alternative but the actual ugliest possible wing in game.
There is a massive amount of cars in this game with multiple rear wing options that are not adjustable and it just makes no sense. why would a full-on wing be nonadjustable when some fully static rear lips are adjustable? why are some rear wings considered adjustable when others of similar size and construction arent? it all feels incredibly arbitrary and can be quite frustrating to have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance when you really shouldn’t have to. the options are already there, the models are made, and they’re all present to use ingame, so why artificially limit the player to using what is in many cases the genuine worst option? Please consider making existing rear wings adjustable so as to provide players with more creative freedom in our builds without having to sacrifice competitiveness for no reason.
Thank you for your time and consideration
Using the Forza rear wing also reduced the PI, from performance pov that’s always desirable. So the only concern is the looks I think wings in S2 class stock cars can be adjusted, would be good if they make all wings adjustable, those who dont like the looks of forza wing will have an option. I wonder why dont people play with cockpit view to just not have to see the forza aero…
The ugliest front spoiler (such a well-chosen term) has to be the thing available for the Willys Jeep! Looks more like a bit of old gate than a high tech air dam.
Considering how easily rear wings fall off during races, without detriment to the handling, what point do they serve beyond visually? If the car can drive the same after the wing has fallen off, surely it doesn’t matter what wing is there? All that matters is that you have spent credits on an adjustable wing (if one isn’t standard) and changed the settings. Like having a digital copy of FH5 versus a disc: they both work but only one is tangible.
I presume the original requirement to have an adjustable wing to allow changes was part of Forza’s attempt at authenticity, but players have been asking for the chance to tune whilst keeping a stock look (or any look) for years, without success. The infamous reveal of the Forza wing in the last Motorsport video suggests Turn 10 aren’t listening, but who knows? Maybe the backlash from that ‘ground up’ presentation and subsequent delay to the release will allow them to put in stuff players have been asking for.
