New Forza Aero

It doesn’t but it is mandatory for race cars. It’s a relic from Forza Motorsport. Horizon doesn’t have such a serious focus on racing so it looks a bit silly there

Does that even matter? All they have to do is make the upgrade unlock aero tuning like with some wings

New forza aero should take a leap towards the older gran turismo concept where forzas cna have either real name brands or made up design of good looking and functional adjustable aeros in the game. Every aero added to the cars should be adjustable instead of making the player go for either the function or the look yet not both

We should have more Remove Wing options too, the S Chasis cars such as the 240SX, and the (correction 1992 Silvia K’S) or the Lamborghini Countach, Murcielago, And almost every Porsche don’t have those options for some reason… a little disappointing imo,

Maybe also add options like a rear diffuser or a flat underbody as these improve aero too.
The flat underbody might not be the most visible (unless you flip the car), but it should definitely improve performance.

I am starting to get very concerned the new Motorsport game seems to only have the old Forza spoiler options…

Normally I would say, licensing can be issue, but nothing stops Playground from adding bunch in-home designed aeros as generic upgrades for any car with compatible chassis. Not just for aesthetic purposes (though mostly that), but also different models could have different weight, drag, and surface to generate downforce.

It’s not even that unrealistic, considering you can get custom aero done, or even make one yourself with proper tooling. I’m sure many of you saw goofy custom-made spoilers people make for drag racing or hillclimb.

Exactly, but their in-home aeros also look bad. for ex the kit coming with i4…it feels like a 5 year old has made that kit. no change in car height after adding the kit!!!

There is no doubt that Forza Aero is the fugliest upgrade we can do to our cars. Gran Turismo does this perfectly with customizable wing tips etc. This latest game should be bucking trends and allowing us to completely customize our cars with more freedom. More bodykits need to be available for each and every car. Along with this adjustable track width as well as adjusable or at least a number of offset options for wheels also needs to be added. This game seriously lacks freedom when it comes to building cars and making them your own creation and making them unique. If this game is going to survive it needs quality of life features added for enthusiasts to actually build and customize cars. The options we currently have are bland and straight up boring. Come on forza devs I thought you guys were car enthusiasts as well. Because honestly what you have delivered so far is weak and lacks imagination. An area that is also over looked is Time Attack! Can we please have some world famous time attack cars added? Or even better the ability to build time attack cars with crazy aero… There is so much potential to be tapped into however currently this game lacks heavily on the creative car building side.

Shame when this is the reason I left GT and bought an Xbox and now the entire franchise has gone backwards on this and added this rubbish aero.
The original Forza aero wasn’t too bad and even came with a rear bumper upgrade with diffuser and exhaust relocation (slightly bigger in size too)

The original was great, Forza aero was good and we had a lot more selection of aftermarket (licenced) parts. And even had cars from various tuners (with unique aero kits)
The new motorsport mehhh same stuff we’re all complaining about

Hello everyone. With the “American Automotive” we get the Corvette C8 Z06. We only get Forza Aero for it and to be honest it doesn’t look good.
back1

The rear spoiler is quite small for the car’s proportions.
Me and other people already pointed out how some of the spoilers doesn’t fit in terms of width. The new Corvette is another example. The disapointing part is that we have been asking for this Forza Aero changes and improvements and even the new cars are not coming already improved.

As you guys pointed out that is a “lot of content” coming for FH5, would be great to hear from you if the Forza Aero overhaul, that is a highly requested feature, will be coming at some point during FH5 or will be something that is will be worked for FH6.

Cheers

Wouldn’t even be a problem if they made the stock aero adjustable. Like some of the E-Ray’s aero parts, which it shared with this car.

The ability to adjust the rear spoiler height on standard and upgraded parts would be good

100%. In addition even that you can set how narrow or wide you want the spoiler mounting to be

Yeah it’s frustrating how some sports cars which are well known to have race variants, don’t come with unique aero directly based on the race car. The C4-C8 Corvettes, first gen Viper GTS ACR, McLaren F1’s, BMW M3 GTR, the list goes on. I definitely like the idea of the custom wing builder though.

Back in FM1, 2 and 3, there was a race variant of the 2000 Mustang Cobra R that came with an entirely different wing from the stock Cobra R. That would have looked a million times better on the Cobra R than the current Forza wing.

I don’t know if its just me but i think horizon 1 has a better forza aero. What do you think?

The hatchback aero is still ugly but this one is much much better when it comes to the shape and the materials used (horizon 1’s lower res of course cause its a much older game) Imagine if Horizon 1’s aero could be customized too :open_mouth:

Is this one made for aerodynamics or to murder civilians? Either way straight in the bin!
