Look at this side profile. The positioning of the rear spoiler doesn’t match with this car. Should be at least aligned with the rear end. Granted i like to see the active spoiler moving so i don’t run this because it’s ugly but still…
I saw some people complaining about the tow hook. Fully agreed. I understand that the Forza Aero would be for the a racing modification, but even so it doesn’t look good. And there is a lack of options too. And just because it is in a way in real life, doesn’t mean that it has to be the same way in a video game.
We should have at least options for height and width on the forza aero so we can customize. Talking about customization, it’s also a shame that we can put white line profile on slick race tires just for fun. Or even the Hot Wheels red line on the slick tires.
Customization is a highly voted topic in the Suggestions Hub but so far not much made into the game. It’s a shame because we are running out of time.
I think in FH1 forza aero wing was way better than now and how about make some new ones? You can make different variant and type like duck tail, LM , Tuner , drag racing , rally …. Like there are irl
The one thing FH4/5’s rear wing has over FH1’s is that the side pieces can be painted and support vinyls. I would looove to have a return of the older Forza aero but with the ability to fully paint and design it.
Forcing aero to be black or carbon fiber is silly, those who want CF parts can simply paint it on these days. Why can’t we fully paint our aero? A matte aluminum race wing could really compliment some builds, for instance.
A suggestion to create new types of aero that is adjustable and can be fitted to any vehicle
in game. like wings and even duck tails to match a cars aesthetic.
I’ve heard this idea since playing Forza Horizon 2, I’m not sure if the devs ever listen to it, but it would def be a game changer, considering how atrocious the aero looks on some cars.
I would love to be able to select specific pieces of forza areo I would want on my car. For example, I would love to be able to choose the front splitter without the tow hook. Also, change the way the wing looks. Make it look similar to Fh1’s. Thank you.
It’s me again, hi.
This is the new McLaren Sabre “without” a adjustable rear wing (i mean…):
And this is the new McLaren Sabre “with” a adjustable rear wing:
Look how clean and beautiful it is. Such a beautiful line following the line of the existing rear wing… it’s amazing isn’t?
Now, we need this same concept but for all the other cars in the game.
Some sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs would improve so much how it looks. It would give a new look for the game. Some have the front splitter too big too and the canards and the tow hook should be optional too so, as a suggestion for the front different options:
Splitter only;
Splitter and canards;
Splitter, canards and tow hook;
Splitter and tow hook;
Canards and tow hook.
If in the next game, comes options for the rear bumper, consider make the same different options, please.
But, i much rather have a 1 or 2 series without cars on FH5 and have a revamped on Customization at this point. Cheers
It surely can’t be that difficult to just port over the Huayra BC wing, maybe even modify it like on the NA2 NSX and the Mk3 Focus RS where there’s an extra Gurney Flap on top of the spoiler. Because the stock Huayra BC wing isn’t even adjustable.
The 2003 Celica SS-II comes with a very high amount of body kits, exceeding even Motorsport 1 and 2 standards. While I’d trade them all for a fixed Celica model, one thing I could leave is the APR Performance Race Spoiler exclusive to this Motorsport 1 model. With just slight modifications it can fit many cars in the game. Considering the S650 Mustang recieved an APR wing option, this one should be ported to more cars.
A fully remodeled Celica SS-II with the APR race spoiler and the APR GT300 wide body kit would be a dream come true. It would quickly become one of my favorite cars in FH5
Here we go again…
With the new car pack, that is very good actually, we get great cars. But the aero customization could be a little better.
Let’s see the Stagea first:
Stock:
With Forza Aero:
Now let’s take a look on the Toyota Sera with Forza Aero:
I painted the stock spoiler option in orange so we can see better what actually is added to the car. Yes, just that little gurney. Looks great. If only we had an adjustable option like this to the Stagea… and to the AZ-1… and to the Montero… and to all the other cars in the game.
Yes, i do understand that make an option for all the cars of the game right now would take some time, but still worth it in my opinion. What is thought process? Some cars have small spoiler options that would fit on others of same style. Like the Chevy Imapaler has one that could be rescaled and readjusted for other sedans or even wagons. But that is probably one more in arch that could fit on the Stagea… and other cars.
And especially on new cars like this why don’t make them with options that we’ve been asking for a while now? I understand that is not easy job and there are a lot of other stuff going on but this is a main feature of the game. If the cars has more options of customization more people spend time on your game. Please, consider this and better ideas from the community for the next game
And I would like more realistic aerodynamics, it cannot be that different ailerons have exactly the same downforce and weight, ailerons of very different sizes, that implementation of ailerons is not real.
With this i disagree. It’s an arcade game and all spoilers and should have the same range of adjusts and weight to them. The weight was out of the topic but… it should be a customization part that you can adjust because some people like more downforce others not so much or it depends of the build that they going for. The whole PI system has to change for the next game but that’s another topic.
The main point is: being able to customize your car the way you want no matter how it looks and still able to compete in open lobbies. Right now if i make a “clean” build i will be nowhere. And if i make a “meta” build i can fight somewhere in the front.
id argue that there SHOULD be a difference in downforce between aero parts. if I look at someones build I want to know what im up against, be able to get a gist of their strengths and weaknesses compared to mine, etc etc. its annoying enough as is that in a powerful FWD car the rear wing decreases PI so top speeds put on a wing.
aero isnt just an aesthetic component, it has an effect, I think the alternative way to fix this is to make the baseline grip worse and make mechanical grip from the tyres upgrades and suspension tuning to have more of an effect in how the car drives. like go aero if you want but you should have to sacrifice power of mechanical grip to do so.
this also lets cars be more speciallised if they want, by making a bigger gap between a car built for low speed with high grip and short gears vs something more generalised thatll do “pretty well” in all the circuits in game.
in some sports, this is a functional car, in other sports it would be a bad joke, that variety is great, I dont want all the cars in every race to be the same every week.
I understand your point and i agree IF was a simulation racing game.
Because it’s a arcade racing game made for all audiences and the event cars restriction are much more open than a real world, for a Horizon game a maintain my opinion. I think it should NOT have any differences in regards the adjustments. For example:
If a small spoiler goes from 20 to 100 points of aero on the scale the Forza Aero should also go from 20 to 100.
So the player had the option to choose between either of them without change the PI.
They could change the weight i guess but then not change the PI because of this weight either.
A game like Forza Horizon it’s all about expression and how a person want to make a car without too many limitations. Yes, if they choose to do so, they can make realistic looking builts. But if they want, they can make “bad jokes” if they want to and have some fun. I don’t see the problem.
A reminder that Gran Turismo 4 had four different race spoiler styles to choose from. And that was before in-depth spoiler customization was introduced.
