Customization Wish list Thread

Forza friends who love customization,

Playground have made it clear they intend to update and support Horizon 4 for the long haul, that leaves three questions I encourage you to answer:

1: What bodykits need updating?
2: What are the best bodykits we could bring to Forza?
3: How can we actually make this happen? What steps are necessary?

Point 1:
Rocket Bunny 240sx-missing GT Wing
Liberty Walk Huracan-missing GT Wing
CRX-Missing sideskirts for all bodykits
Rocket Bunny GTR R-32 - Missing rear bumper skirts

Point 2: New bodykits?
Mansonry Stallone Ferrari 812
Sun Line Racing Nissan GTR R-34
PSM Dynamic BMW M-2
RE Amemiya RX-7 FD
RE Amemiya RX-7 FC
Pandem BMW E30
Garage Mak Widebody 180/240sx

Point 3:
I don’t know, but at the very least I’ll try raising a support ticket and tweeting some devs; anyone else have some ideas?

We are also having this conversation on reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/9uj5fq/if_you_love_customization_read_this_thread/

I think there needs to be a customization wishlist (with your post as the OP)

To add to your list, updated rally kits for vehicles like the 08’ Impreza, M3 E30, Z4, Fiesta, Focus, 350Z, 370Z, Delta HF and more

Pretty sure a support ticket is just exactly that … designed for game support. Wish lists for things to be added are not considered ‘support’ items. Pretty sure if you submit a ticket, you will be directed here to add your wishes to wish list threads already in place.

My Dearest PG/T10 crew…

All I want for Christmas, is a new adjustable rear wing. Maybe a few adjustable options. Maybe the ability to put the less obtrusive ones that you can fit to most “classic” cars (i.e. the little black piece of plastic) but on newer cars so it doesn’t ruin the body line.

But for real… just some new default Forza aero kits would be awesome.

Signed,

Literally everyone.

not even that, literally just let us tune the car if the stock state already has a spoiler. I don’t want to put on a hideous forza spoiler on my car that already has a great looking foldable wing just to be able to adjust it. Why is this still a thing??

Especially in cases where the car as-is has a wing that is clearly adjustable. I can’t remember which car I found this on, maybe one of the drift pack cars, but the stock wing has visible adjustment hardware, but cannot be tuned so you have to get the Forza wing which honestly looks to be a solid non-adjustable wing.

Anyway, to add to the list:

'93 Cobra should have the option to convert it to LX bumpers and remove the side skirts. Looks better as a drag car that way.

Trucks/SUVs should have better lift options without having to add ugly fender flares from the JC Whitney catalog. Why can’t I lift an off roader without putting flares on it?

Tires height adjustments. In some cases it would be nice to be able to increase the tire sidewall height to put a big back tire on a drag car or bigger off road tires on trucks and suvs.

The two FD RX7’s in the game are the same body style, but the older one doesn’t have the same body options as the newer one. It does have the Rocket Bunny kits so maybe that’s why, but I think the RB is the only wing option. I’d like at least the wings from the newer car to be added to the old one. I believe it only has a no-wing option or the RB wing. The newer car has many more choices, one of which actually looks similar to the factory wing that should have come on the older model.

adding on to ur point, a few cars with aftermarket bodykits come with aftermarket wings that have adjustable downforce (Rocket bunny cayman wing and s2000 wing etc.). so why cant any other cars with big wings have adjustable aero? (Top secret r34 and s15 wings cant be adjusted for downforce)

I agree, that wing ruins the shape of the car. Would be nice with some more options or even install it and have the option to make it invinsible would work for me.

It’s been the same ugly Forza aero options for way too long.

I whole heartedly agree. I’d be fine with having aero that can be customized, sorta like the auto sculpt thing and having multi finish vinyls along with vinyls on windows.

Something new and fresh should happen! I’m one of the Forza people that is frustrated that more effort is being put into the driver and their clothing/dance moves than the actual cars.

Editied the title - Let’s make this a wishlist.

My title was great… now it’s dead. :frowning:

Also this wasn’t intended to be a “wishlist” of any kind… it was literally just about the same stock spoiler that has been present for years now. Now this thread is about weird stuff like removing headlights and interior seat replacements. :frowning:

My only hope is that the only “wish” that people post about from here on out is related to the Forza Spoiler.

You’re post is not the first on this thread, which leads me to believe your post was merged with the OP’s here thread to consolidate. You should not complain. Don’t be so selfish thinking a wishlist should only be for a rear spoiler lol. I’m surprised RK actually allowed this thread to continue instead of stuffing it in the stickied wishlist thread where everything gets lost. But, a big thank you to RK for allowing this thread to be a stand alone wishlist for customization. I think many of us don’t post our wish list items in the wishlist thread because they will just be lost. This is the correct way to handle this thread.

  • Exhaust appearance changing with upgrades
  • some interior mods I.e gauges, change seat colour, aftermarket steering wheel etc
  • New wings/spoilers with ability to change angle
  • Ability to remove badges would be awesome
  • Windscreen decals/vinyl
  • Diffusers front and rear

Probably asking for too much here but also

  • cars with bolt on super chargers or turbos having open hoods and screamer pipes
  • headlight removal for forced induction
  • ability to install aftermarket seats
  • weight reduction actually having a visual impact so removal of seats and interior lining etc

This is my idea of customization, since Forza always lacked modifying the car’s looks, except for decals and the Forza aeros and sometimes custom body kits. Microsoft could add a new style of modifying, not requiring any licenses. They could add 3D vinyl!

You know how, for example, the Formula Drift #777 Nissan 240 SX has that crazy cut out in the hood for the engine? Or how Ken Block’s Mustang Hoonicorn V2 has those 2 turbos sticking out of the hood? Microsoft could Implement tools to allow us to make our custom mods. We could have crazy turbo sticking out of the hood or even allow us to change certain engine parts, allow us to sculpt our own body kits, maybe also having a tool to widen it! In the upgrades and tunes editor, when we add a turbo, for example, the engine won’t change how it looks. It won’t have a turbo!

The “3D VINYLS” could work like this: The editor would be the same as the livery editor, but instead of 2D shapes or logos, we could have car parts! We would select them from the menu, and place them on the car. We could also have a design editor, allowing us to shape the car part how we want! For example, there we could shape a special intake for a supercharger! Or design custom aeros for the car! Spoilers, splitters, wide body kits, made by the community! In the editor, there could be a template of the forza splitter, or forza Spoiler and simple fender flares to help us design the parts.

To add “building blocks” from which our parts will be made from, we could use basic 3D editor tools, along with smoothening tool, paint tool, a build tool, which when used, adds material. It could be found in both square shaped or semi-sphere shaped. Since Microsoft has already developed a 3D editor, they could use the programming from that and import it into the forza files and adapt it to be used.

Note: [b ]I am not a programmer! ** I do not know how difficult it will be for creating an engine to support the modifications. I don’t even know if half the stuff I wrote about is even possible, but I have hope that this feature will be able to be implemented in Forza.

They would practically have to rebuild every model in the game to achieve this. As it is right now, only certain vehicles are capable of any modifications at all in body appearence, hoods, lightbars and spoilers. Even in that area they are lacking in design options.
One thing I would like to see is a chop top feature on many of the on older classics. But that alone would require a completely new 3D model to implement, not that it would be all that much more difficult, just a little more costly. We already pretty much get rinse and repeat vehicles from one game to the next, even get the exact same vinyls from game to game.
It’s not like it can’t be done, Crossout has the ability to design a vehicle from the frame up with many body options. Granted, it’s not a racing game as much as a combat game, but the customization is far better than what Forza offers.
Thos could be due to licensing issues but somehow I think it’s more $ driven than anything else.
Let’s look at rims, exact same from game to game. A designer can create a new rim style rather easily, no licensing required.
There’s a lot of customization features that could be added, but sadly, we get the exact same thing in FH4 as the had in FH2.

IMO, wheel offsets could work similarly to track width upgrades. There’d be an upgrade called “rim offset” allowing you to move a rim inwards.

Obviously, some wheels like Rotiform FUC would need to be moved outward for their standard versions, but that’s not much work.

The icing on the cake would be different bolt patterns, of course, but that’s more for the aficionados.

Ford Escort RS1800 1977 needs the proper rally/forest arches from ford! The use the same wide body kit (arches and a similar spot light setup) to the lotus sunbeam! Would literally mean adding the arches to the escort and positioning them correctly! The fact this car has been in game this long without said option is pretty ridiculous imo

I think and im sure a lot of other do think we should have new Front bumpers, Rear wings, Rear bumpers, Side skirts, and hood mods not just the Forza Edition ones. The Forza horizon splitter and spoilers have been in the game a long time and only a few cars have other upgrades from actual companies but there usually the full bumper so i was thinking of adding some new splitters, side skirts, spoilers, and also hoods from actual companies because not everyone likes the forza splitter and spoiler, and for these upgrades they should be for almost every car possible
