Told you they got a good sound for it! Beams and shines on an amp.
Redirecting... Wish the v8 cars and muscle cars sounded this good.
They are steadily making improvements. Good things on the way I’m sure.
The Huayra R’s sound has been fixed. Too bad I can’t see out of it, but good job.
2014 #3 C7 vette sounds amazing. Gives me goosebumps . Thank you t10!! Looking forward to future sound updates on other vehicles if it’s going to be this good.
Oh gosh, I wish I could try this out. Any way to win it or buy it now somehow?
@T10ManteoMax please request the Devs to make this car available! I’m a VIP man, I need to drive this, lol
You don’t have it? Being vip and all? The 240 drift car mm god sake goosebumps. Feel like my hair is pins and needles. Sounds better than the drift mustangs sadly. guess that’s the 2 valve difference.
If I had it on the hip like that I’d buy it for you. Sure hope you get to enjoy it soon.
There’s no “getting it soon”, unfortunately, due to the FOMO mechanics. I have a really busy schedule and I couldn’t do the career grind to win the Huayra R. I’ve missed out on quite a few cars actually due to FOMO.
Being a VIP means didley squat. If you don’t do the career grind before the deadline, the car is gone for good.
That’s why I requested Max that the devs at least consider making the FOMO cars available to VIPs/Premium edition owners.
Think they’d make challenges in the hub or something to go back and do it if you missed the opportunity.
Well, as far as I can see, there are no challenges right now to win the Huayra R, Murceilago, the classic widebody Porsche race/track modified car (the red one), and some of the others I’ve missed out on.
Sound updates are given in Update 13:
Acura Integra
Huayra R
Corvette C7.R
Feel free to express your thoughts, while I’m gonna investigate if they’re trying to sound like the real thing.
The C7R and Huauyra R are great. The Integra R, not so much.
Great first step to getting the game to where it should’ve been a year ago… But I really hope they can fix more than three cars every update.
Yeah, turns out the Integra still sounds nothing like it. Even if they gave it a VTEC.
A Honda enthusiast with 25 years of enthusiasm commented, and proved his point. He knows about the manufacturer’s engines. Idk how Turn 10 still screwed up the B18C’s tone.
“Hey Mikey! Yes, the Mike Caviezel! The people who worked on the new FM aren’t the same people you know back in the FM1-FM6 days. Majority of people who worked on FM8 are newbies due to that work contract Microsoft pulled. You gotta start teaching them lessons already since Polyphony learned better engine audio techniques, thanks to you!”
Buuuut, I’ll show off a much better Integra B18C sound.
In. A. Game. That. Sounds. Like. The. Real. Thing. Because Mike sourced these engine sounds from the actual car.
Here ya go, Turn 10. This is what the Integra sounds like. Now re-redo its sound because your first attempt on that didn’t go so well.
Dear Lord, that is sweet music to the ears! Sounds as good as the real one, can’t tell it apart.
Note to Mike: Please rework the audio on this car and ALL the others that have been reported (Ferraris, Lambos, AMs, Porsches, McLarens, Nissans, etc)
I hate the fact that we still have to live with subpar sounds a year later when GT7 players have it SO good.
Camoohhh Mike!
These videos capture exactly what I mean, when I say my engine sounds in FM are “too quiet” and about how other cars are louder than my own engine, making it easy to miss my shift points.
In these videos (and when I play GT7 myself), the interior engine is the most prominent sound. And even in traffic, the engine of my car NEVER gets lost in the mix.
The Open Class Tour’s reward car, the 1970 Boss Mustang TA, has an engine sound that’s left me very underwhelmed. To my ears, it sounds like there’s a playing card stuck in the bicycle spokes! Guess another car I won’t drive much . You can easily look on google or YouTube and listen to many ride alongs. So disappointing. Hours wasted racing career mode for something like that. Engine idle is so quiet I have to literally max out my tv volume just to hear it.
Here’s a great video of many scca ta race cars idling: https://youtu.be/yqrayDDDt-Q?feature=shared
Between the game and this video they sound nothing alike. Honestly I wish I could help pick out correct sounds for all cars . I’d have these machines sounding so sweet it would curl your toes and give you goose bumps. Thank you for trying anyways
TV volume? Get a surround amp and boost the sound with the Dolby Access app if you like. Or get a surround headset at least and boost it with Dolby Atmos.
But yes, I picked up on some of the things you highlighted. Really doesn’t sound bad on an amp and speakers. Consider investing in a good system. Truly changes the experience.
Anything over 29 on volume and my neighbors are griping crappy place to call home but hey $675 for a 2br can’t complain…
Wanted to point out that putting my tv on 97 volume number and still can barely hear it idle w my ear next to the tv isn’t right it’s too quiet… sure I have a onkyo surround system and sound bar to use. But like I said not much good here w neighbors and noise complaints I mostly just use head phones these days honestly the sound is nice and only for my ears. I’ll move some day I reckon.
