Just wanted to create this appreciation post for all the work Mike Caviezel has done for the FM games in the past.
Yo MIKE, thank you for your incredible work on FM - I’ve appreciated the daylights out of FM 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 - the sounds are timeless to this day and I am confident that the same quality (or better, lol) will be coming to the current FM as it direly needs a dose of some “real car sound” love.
Thanks Mike, so glad to have you back at T10 Studios.
Guy literally worked as an Audio lead for Polyphony Digital’s GT Sport and GT7. He did the audio work in the past FM titles, mostly the X360 era I guess. And then after that, he worked with PD from 2015 until 2022.
The audio mastermind is back, let’s see how the Audio changes in FM. But I do hope GT’s new Audio lead will be as good as Mike and I don’t want their sound department to downgrade back like the terrible car sounds from their PS3 era.
I just don’t want Gran Turismo 8 to bring back the bad car audio from their older games, perhaps it should have much better audio than GT7 even if it sounds still good. I think Polyphony already learned everything that Mike has been teaching them how to make better car audio, so I don’t think there will be any problems with them recording engine sounds at least.
Hopefully T10 Studios manage to turn this glorious mess around and drastically improve the vehicle graphics and sounds in FM 2023 with a talented developer like him.
Dear Heavenly Spirit. Thank you for providing us with so much needed hopium. May this man succeed in his mission of bringing Forza good sounding engines, turbos, exhausts and transmissions, apart from other things. Thank you.
So idk if hes been back long enough to have made a difference, but the new Aston Martin GT3 car they added this month sounds amazing. Maybe my favorite sounding car in the game.
