Car sounds: A lot to be improved *IMPORTANT*

Well hello everyone. Hopefully you all are doing great, I’m a Forza YouTuber who does drag races on Forza and I’ve been playing Forza for a long time. After getting early access to FM I couldn’t help but come here and talk about this because I feel like its important, the “car sounds”.

I remember 6 years ago we had the worst sounds we ever had in the Forza franchise (which is Forza 7). Fast forward six years later you’d expect a massive improvement on the sound department, and while there are a few good sounding cars on the new Forza Motorsport, a lot of them need a sound update because overall they sound too raspy, no bass, too computarized and unnatural. I just unlocked the 2017 Ford GT and the way it sounds really bothers me, it sounded so good on Forza Motorsport 6 and even great on Forza Horizon 5, why does it sound bad all of a sudden on FM?

It really frustrates me how they once said “This is the best sounding Forza Motorsprot ever” when it isn’t. What happened to that great sound quality we used to have back in FM4, FM5 and FM6? In those games take any car and the sound of it is so good and it surrounds your headset, even as you move/rotate the camera the exhaust and intake sounds move to the sides, none of that detail is present on Forza Motorsport’s car sounds. Its hit and miss, but most of the time its a miss…

I even took a close listen and realized they are still reusing very old computarized sound samples from Forza Motorsport 7. Take a listen to the 765LT, 600LT, 720S…they sound like the McLaren Senna from Forza 7, and they also have that Mustang GT intake sound…since when did McLarens sound like Mustangs from the interior? Even worse…drive a Ferrari 812 Superfast in FM and it sounds like an awful Ferrari V8. The Mercedes Sauber C9 used to have a briliant V8 sound way back in FM4, years later and it sounds like a flat plane V8?! The V12 Lamborghini’s sound awful too, the SVJ has a good exterior sound but the interior lacks depth and bass (like most sounds in FM). And so on…!

Dear Turn10, I really hope that you update the car sounds for these following cars (so far that I know sound terrible):

2017 Ford GT

2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast

McLaren V8s (765LT, 600LT, 720S, P1)

Ferrari F50 / F50 GT

Aston Martin Vulcan (exterior sound is inaccurate, interior is fine though)

2009 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 (it sounds more like a C6 Z06 than a ZR1)

2015 Corvette C7 Z06 (Make it sound the way it did on Forza Motorsport 6)

2019 Corvette C7 ZR1 (Not a bad sound but it should sound more like it did on FH5).

Lamborghinni Huracan Performante / Evo / STO (They need an exterior exhaust note update).

2021 Lamborghini Sian FKP-37 (It sounds too high pitched, very soft and lacks depth and bass, unnatural)

2020 Ford Shelby GT500 (Sounds nothing like a GT500).

2014 Porsche 918 Spyder (Sounds as bad as it did on Forza 7, please make it sound like it did on FM6 if not better)

2020 Porsche 911 GT3 / 2019 GT3 RS (They sound muffled which is the opposite of what a 911 GT3 Flat-6 sounds like irl, they should louder and more whiny like they do IRL).

If there are any cars I didn’t mention please mention them down! I really hope Turn10 gets this message

The Jesko could sound better even though they got the flatplane part right.

I think that’s about it for the high performance vehicles.
