Lets Be Realistic Here

Most likely, Forza 6 will largely be Forza 5 with more cars and tracks, maybe an auction house and more customization/design options.

I doubt we will be seeing an improvement in graphics or a new graphics engine as Forza 5 was already pushing the Xbox One. I doubt DirectX 12 or “Forza Tech” will change that as the hardware is set in stone and the devs know the x86-64 architecture like the back of their hand and were already pushing the console to the edge at launch performance wise.

If we get weather that would be awesome but I doubt we will unless they lock the framerate at 30 fps like Horizon 2.

Porsche will likely not make a comeback thanks to EA, and if it will, it will most likely be in some overpriced DLC pack ($20 for 30 cars in Forza 4 simply by coping and pasting the Porsche cars from Forza 3 is a bit steep considering the base game costed $60 with over 500 cars).

Hate to be pessimistic, but I think a significant amount of Forza fans are expecting a bit too much and setting themselves up for disappointment. I’d be glad to eat my words when Forza 6 launches.

LOL i can gurantee you will eat those words, Turn 10 has been so quiet because Big brother “6” is gonna come like a thief in the night.

I doubt that.
Based on the grumbling since 5, T-10 needs to be banging on the pots n pans, from the highest mountain.

That said, they need to be sure they are accurate when they do so.

Members of this very forum thought Forza Motorsport 2 was pushing the limits of what the Xbox 360 could do. Look what became of Forza Motorsport 3 and 4. That is to say: it isn’t unrealistic to expect graphical enhancements to a franchise that will likely span six to eight years on the Xbox One platform.

^ this, lol don’t know if you are new to gaming but… every single game has a graphical upgrade from its previous, and that full performance bluff, yes its true, but way far from optimization, I bet if T10 wanted they could run FM2 at 120FPS on the 360…

^^wasn’t the title of the thread “Let’s be realistic here…”? I do agree though, just on a less extreme level, they have to leave something in the tank for future releases.

Yep,they made 3 and 4 pretty but many will agree FM2 was the best. Remember the different brand of tires you could buy and feel the difference in performance? The only thing offered in the other 2 that I enjoyed was cockpit view,i still say FM2 was the best,maybe because I started with it or it just was period!

FM2 had the best soundrack but i wouldn’t say the best forza, FM4 did more then 2 and 3 combine.

FM3 and 4 looked better but fm2 had more content. This is why its considered the best. On the same note, FM5 looks better then them all but has less content…

No it didn´t.

FM2 was “considered” the best because it was trying to be a “Motorsport Simulator” kind of game, where the new ones are trying to “Turn car lovers in to gamers and vice-versa”. Those objectives reflected on how they built the game, affecting cars, features, track, etc. There was a more prominent presence of racing cars on FM2 as opposed to FM5, endurance races were “replaced” (just a word) by AutoVista and more.
Obviously, the very first fans (me, for example) who started playing FM1 for the motorsport simulation have become really sore on how the direction of this franchise has went. This is why I, and others, consider Fm2 the “best” game, only because it was the only one that really captured that “Racing Weekend” feel.

It didnt? please do tell. Fm 2 has over twice the amout of cars and tracks alone vs fm5. Lets not even talk about the amout of uprade options… (
-47 tracks in total (including all configurations/variations and around 350+ cars)

You referenced FM3 and FM4 and I assumed you were comparing these with FM2 in terms of content. If you are only talking about FM5 then pardon me.

Although PCARS - a different game I know - seems to be struggling with holding frame rates and high graphics…

While only running at 900p on the Xbone, no less. Then again, this is their first title for that franchise, so they may not have the same “intimate” knowledge of the platform as T10 does, since T10 only focuses on Xbox, while PCars throws their resources at 3 different systems (and I doubt Xbox is their priority). Its only a guess, but PCars is probably more of a port of the PC version that hasn’t been optimized for the Xbone’s hardware.

Slightly Mad Studios doesn’t have the resources T10 has, they will more then likely get 1080p with 60fps running with dynamic weather in all, mark my words.

The game looks beautiful in every aspect.

And don’t get me started on engine sounds.

People are too worried about numbers and not actually using their eye balls to see the beauty that is already there.

True, but Slightly Mad did come out and say that the game is going to be 900P on the Xbone.

I know just because one studio developing a game for multiple platforms didn’t hit the 1080@60 mark, doesn’t mean that another studio exclusively making a game for one platform can’t do it. And even though the Xbox hardware is the most PC like, compared to the prior two systems; that doesn’t mean there is nothing to learn about making games on the system. Even for a first party studio like Turn 10, I am sure they learned something while making FM5 that helped them out during FM6. Plus like always, optimization is the name of the game when developing on console. That’s what Dan Greenawalt preached leading up to FM3 and FM4’s releases (remember the moving truck analogy), that doesn’t change; no matter how PC like the console is.

Fair enough, I can agree to that. I still don’t think that there will be a huge jump in graphical quality without sacrificing framerate (at least not as big as say between Forza 2 and 3).

i like this lol can i like this twice, u said all truth to me cant argue with that totally agree so in order to not let your self down and become disappointed in going to say this game isnt going to b so good then if im wrong im happy i was if im right thats ok bcuz i didnt put all my hops in letting them disappoint.
