Please release this on the same day around the world, It is such a drag when you release a game a few days later in the UK compared to the USA.

I hope not…they should really take notes from GT6 (GT6 releases new cars & tracks through game updates for FREE)

You whingers aren’t going to start with this crap again! I don’t know if you realized this or not, but Turn 10 gave away so much content in the last version to please their loyal fans who were disappointed with the lack of content that came in Forza 5 compared to Forza 4!

Keep in mind there are a lot of Games/Simulators in which you have to pay for third party DLC content. E.g. If you’re a Flight Sim enthusiast and a serious one mind you, Flight Simulator X has numerous planes and basic scenery with the Sim, but if you want the very best scenery add-ons and extra planes etc… you have to purchased them separately, and a lot of them are more expensive to purchase than the Flight Sim itself! So don’t whinge about having to purchase the DLC cars!

You’re going to respond back by saying, these aren’t third party add-ons, because the additional content is made by the same game developer! Yes, that’s true, but you’re originally paying for the game and the hard work the developers and the rest of the team at Turn 10 have put in to create the game itself. Like any job, they have to pay wages and more importantly spend a lot of money to develop the game. It’s a business, and if they’re spending hours on end making free content and not making enough money for the time that’s spent developing them, than simply the business goes under, and we lose one of the best car Sim developers and franchise’s forever!

I admit I was not happy when they were charging us for the Car Packs and the fact that we had to earn money within the game to purchase each car, or pay real money for tokens to unlock these cars if we wanted immediate access to them. So when Turn 10 took this into consideration, they changed it so once you purchased the season pass or individual monthly car packs, the cars were available in your garage immediately to drive! I was very satisfied that they listened to us Forza fans and were proactive in making the changes to keep the Forza community happy!

To show their appreciation and to apologize to the Forza Community for some of the changes they had made, as well as the lack of content when Forza 5 was released, let me remind you all just how generous the team at Turn 10 were:

Firstly as I mentioned above, all car packs were immediately transferred to our garages and we didn’t have to purchase the individual cars using our in game money or tokens by spending real cash!
Secondly, they created an additional 5 awesome circuits that were added to the game at no extra cost! They were Nurburgring & Nordschliefe, Road America, Long Beach California and Circuit De Spa.

So for all of you whingers out there that are starting to complain about Forza 6, even before any information has been released in relation to what content will be featured in the game, just remember Turn 10 didn’t charge us for any of the additional circuits, and they could’ve easily charged us for them simply because a majority of us would’ve easily paid for the extra circuits, since they did such a great job recreating these real life circuits!

Remember that no one is forcing you to purchase additional content, you don’t even have to purchase the entire season pass or monthly DLC’s, you can purchase each car separately! However it works out a lot cheaper to purchase the entire Season Pass or monthly DLC if you like more than one or two cars in each monthly DLC car pack.

Excellent contradictory post! You point out they “gave away” then say it lacked content. Make up your mind. Filling in content for a rushed game, isn’t giving away. It’s making up for a mistake. If you read interviews over the years from a certain bearded individual, his statements haven’t always come to fruition. Like about FM5 and how the game wouldn’t be the same as release a year later. What besides the tracks you left out is different? We have a ton of cars that were new to FM4 left out of 5, though the car models and tracks were being future proofed since after 3. Lots of reasons to be skeptical of T10, dlc is the least of them. FM4 mp didn’t even work for 6 months, leaderboard wipes in FM2.3.4, etc, etc. I hope for the best, but have learned from experience it probably won’t happen.

T10 gave naff all away. They simply returned content to the franchise they left out. Long Beach was new, fair enough - but the other 3 tracks (nurb GP, Nord, RA,) were simply left out. I’d put money they were ready for launch - but held back as “sweeteners”. That goes a little way to making up for the pathetic oversights left out of the game. Distance meters, actual race results, etc etc. I mean, they still have options for Stock cars and 1990s F1 cars they haven’t bothered to provide cars for.

People should complain about the high levels of DLC. Why should we fork out £40-£50 for a game, then pay the same again for content already in the franchise. And I don’t for one minute buy the rubbish about “scanning every car from scratch”. THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME PAINT GLITCHES.

People who complain about the poor state of the game (in a productive manner) are the ones pushing the franchise forward.

People telling others to “stop whinging about DLC” are the ones to blame when playing a casual console game becomes as expensive to play as iRacing. People like that should remember what a console game is supposed to be. Casual games for casual people.

You would lose that money, I played it before launch on the dev kits and none of that stuff was ready at all.

I’d agree about that. After all, some people knew about Long Beach and the complete Nurburgring layouts well before their official announcements. I also haven’t forgotten about the R8 LMP, the Daytona, the ZR1 etc. that magically disappeared from the car list, just to reappear later on in the first expansion. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

New gaming industry, they say… where times are tight, publishers are greedy and It’s easier to cut rather than building something really new after the game’s launch. So, post release content is already made and you can focus on the next chapter. I’m also looking at you, Destiny.

Nothing.

Just checking Furia did you see Worm’s post about 4 above yours?

Yes, I did. And I doubt they would have put something not planned for release in it.
But, as I wrote before, It’s really time move on, those discussions aren’t going to bring anything new at all…

Oh, they were planning to do so according to the Super Pass and the Expansion Pass that appeared on the Smartglass app. We probably have to thank the huge amount of negative feedback Turn 10 got over the low content and the expensive car pass. But It’s a long story and It’s time to move on, without going through the same discussions about the DLC over and over again.

Saw this one coming! Love that the Ford GT will be the cover car. Hopefully a Fall release!

Can someone please put a picture of the cover in your post because I am not sure how to.

Removed photo as OP now has it

ial they should in my openion. i dont get why they deprive some fans, it does not give the other fans more. back in fm3 europe and even canada got a collectors edition which was never allowed to be sold in the usa. it didn’t give non yankeys more, did not make the game better for them. it just left us with less, and less money for ms. i was wanting the collectors edition back then. and to fix it much later they released the ultimate edition which i hear they wouldn’t sell in europe. that was not being fair to both sides imo, it was being unfair to both sides. and they should release world wide on gmt, the minuet it goes on sale anywhere it goes on sale everywhere.

and “essentials” is still the worst idea ever. maybe i would flunk marketing from the business perspective but i sure understand it from the consumer perspective. i dont get why forza games are done they way they are, but i do know what i want. and i like twitch streams. i’ll watch before buying. if i feel its worth my money i’ll pick it up. if not i’ll wait for the price to come down. i prefer trolless offline playing so playing online while its hot isn’t a concern for me. i’m taking the wait and see approach this time. i have no idea what they are going to do, i just hope i like it in the end.

The thing with the essential edition of FM4, was that it was a free version given out alongside a brand new console. It was given out along side a full copy of skyrim. It wasn’t a special edition at all, but that is the confusion surrounding it.

I do agree with everything you put about release dates and versions by the way, and the ultimate edition of FM3 was also available in the UK if I remember correctly.
