I want an official answer to this crashing to dashboard issue, please.

I am absolutely blown away by this. I got this game on launch day, along with other games. It crashed throughout various races, randomly, and sent me back to the dash. I figured I’d lay off of it and play some other games and come back to it until it was sorted out as I saw many MANY topics on it. I’m a reasonable person and understand even in 2013, a console game can have a hiccup.

I’m back now, trying to play, and sure as heck I re install and on my second race it crashes. Every time. Reboots, restarts, refreshes, I simply cannot play. Why the heck am I dealing with this on a console - and more importantly, why has this not been fixed yet? I’ve been on live chat troubleshoots, had friends come look at it, read every topic I could find, tried every youtube solution out there. What am I missing?

I had it happen to me two times today just tuning cars. A buddy got it with 4 laps to go in a league race on Thursday, They need to figure it out.

I used tokens to increase xp gains and it crashed so I said screw it - came back two hours later and the buff was gone?! It gets used while you are offline?

Once the timer for the accelerator starts it doesn’t stop - regardless of racing, loading screens or not playing at all.

Oh and I have only had one crash to dashboard - just after long beach was released.

I have never experience this and i had the game since it was released… weird, must be hardware related i think.

It’s the only game I have that does it (have 6 or so go games)

Battlefield 4 was terrible about doing this when I first got the system, but an update fixed it. Forza has never done it to me, however, so I’m really not sure what would be causing it.

Bumping this instead of making a new thread. When I try loading the majority of the tracks they crash the game to the dashboard. I have tried uninstalling and re installing several times, but it’s not feasible for me to keep doing this as I am in a rural area and have a data limit on my internet. Any other solutions?

Basically I’m frustrated, I’ve purchased every Forza game since Forza 2 (collecters editions) and the dlc’s, and did the same with forza 5 including the dlc seasons pass, but cannot even play the game. I can’t complete any of the seasons I’ve started as all of them contain tracks that crash my game. :frowning:

Has Turn 10 said anything on this issue? I have tried everything I have seen to try online but my game still won’t let me play. It’s not hardware as all my other xbone games are working great. The whole reason I got the xbone was for forza actually.

You’ve reinstalled the game - have you tried resetting your gamesave?

I have not yet, but what I have seen from others troubleshooting that doesn’t seem to help this issue. I will still give it a shot today, I am just really hesitant to loose all my cars, tunes and tokens that I earned when my game did work, including all the expensive dlc cars…

Im In a Lobby and I mute somebody with a echoing mic and it dashboards me.
Choose a ford, it dashboards me.
voted for a track, it dashboards me.
A race starts, it dashboards me.
I look at the screen, it dashboards me.

This is what I meant to ditto. Lol
All at complete random times

Tech just delete your game save. It hasn’t worked the previous times you’ve done it, but it MIGHT work this time and you really don’t care about any of the stuff you’ve gotten done right? Sorry man, thought I’d see if I could get the veins in your neck to start bulging and twitching like they were gonna pop.

And how does this prevent the One from turning on, logging you into Xbox Live, seeing a save-game ON THE XBL-SERVERS, and loading that automatically?

And to add to the confusion, although I haven’t experienced dashboard issues recently knocks on wood, I was kicked to dashboard the very first time I booted up FM5 after installing from disc. So in essence, no progress at all in the game booted me to dashboard.

My bad Octagon. I was messin’ with Tech because he’s the guy I know that seems to have more problems than everyone else with the game. When he’s looked for answers he keeps getting the company line, “reset your game save,” instead of any kind of meaningful dialogue from Microsoft. I did not mean to imply anyone should reset their game save as a feasible solution; just a jab at some pretty crummy customer service.

I only got the xbox1 last week and one of the free downloads was forza. For me it crashes every time I get to Laguna seca, right as the map of the track is about to appear. Doesn’t matter whether it’s free play or a championship. Checking sites and forums this issue has been going on since January but the track is different for everyone. The only difference reinstalling does is change the track the game crashes on. Here I was thinking it’s been 8 years since my last Xbox experience surely it can’t be anywhere near as bad as last time were I had to send the console back 3 times for the flashing light if death where on the 4th occasion finally getting the $hits and throwing the console in the cupboard never to be played again. If this is the type of service Microsoft and it’s affiliates provide (6 months and counting) I’m just going to stick with Sony and take the console back for a refund.

I’m having this same issue and it’s a joke. I own Madden 25, Battlefield 4, Titanfall, and Trials and they are all working perfectly with no issues so I know it is not my hardware.

There is always at least one or more tracks that I cannot play and so consequently I cannot finish any of the career mode championship series. I haven’t gone online yet but I’m sure I will run into the same issues with these tracks on there as well. They either freeze during loading and crash to dashboard or in the middle of the race they crash to the dashboard. I have had this issue with Road America, Circuit de Catalunya, Road Atlanta, Long Beach (impossible for me to play) and Nurburgring. Sometimes un-installing fixes one track but then another will not work. I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps multiple times with no success. This includes about ten times of un-installing and re-installing the game, powering off xbox completely, resetting console to factory default. Yesterday after spending countless hours playing races and earning cars I again tried re-setting my game save, and un-installing and re-installing the game. Guess what? On the second championship series when I get to Nurburgring the game freezes.

I can understand there are sometimes issues with games at launch but Forza has been out for 6 months! There is no reason this issue should not be fixed yet. Instead of fixing the game from crashing Turn 10 keeps churning out DLC to make more money. I have sent an email to the Turn 10 tech support and gotten no response. They actually flat out tell you in the auto-responder that they are not going to respond to you! I don’t understand how a company can resfuse to provide support for their product. I spent over $450 on this game and the thrustmaster wheel and I can’t even play it. I’m getting so sick of this I’m about to just sell it all and never buy another Forza again. I’ve wasted so much time trying to get it to work it’s maddening.

I haven’t had a dash-crash since Long Beach came out (knock on wood).

It’s only happened to me twice. Once right after launch in November & once a couple months ago. Hate to hear people having lots of problems with it.
