Just crashed right in the middle of a race. Astonished that they have not figured this out yet.
EDIT: Just crashed once more after race. Twice in one night.
They were bulging when Microsoft told me to do that. I’ll just wait for another software download the game will delete it for me lol. This way my garage is never to full. Even with the issues it’s still a great game.
This only happens to me after an online race and very rarely.
Ok, before resetting I made a list of the tracks that worked and those that didn’t to compare for after.
the following tracks crash while loading them:
-Catalunya
-Long Beach
-Nurbürgring
-Road America
-Road Atlanta
-Test Track
So (rounding up) 65% of my tracks were working.
Now after the reset, the game just crashes without fail every time after Jeremy Clarkson says “Welcome to Forza” in the intro.
TLDR: Resetting the game made me unable to play it at all.
The only fix I know of that works for this issue is uninstalling the game and reinstalling and waiting until it is 100% complete before playing the game.
I was crashing when loading Road America a few months back and a reinstall fixed it ie uninstall and reinstall of the game only, not addons and not saved game. Addons would make sense as well though.
This happens to me almost daily.
It only happens to me in multiplayer hoppers. Doesnt matter what class It boots me to the dash almost twice a day. Usually happens in the lobby screen just after the track vote is finishing up. almost like clockwork.
However, I have never had it happen in: my career, tuning, testing, rivals, free play, forzavista, or private multiplayer lobbies.
Been playing since around a week after release with around 294 hours played so far.
I have not tried un-installing and re-installing the game as I didnt see how that would change anything. After reading posts in these forums Im kinda glad I trusted my gut there.
Hopefully they will find a fix for this, but there are a lot of different varieties of the way this is happening. It may be hard to pin down why its happening. Fingers crossed they find a solution.
Happens to me all the time as well. Very annoying. Reinstalled the game and it still does it.
I have Digital download of Forza. Seems to dashboard me once or twice every hour of online play. Raced two races today and got DB’d when the RING came up for vote.
-finally get a wrecker kicked, get DB’d along with party member.
It’s nothing new, been happening for many updates now. Annoying,but atleast doesn’t dashboard while painting!

Yeah I’m still having this problem after the Nurbergring came out. I have uninstalled/reinstalled 7 x since then. I actually got to do 2 career races…and then kicked me back to dashboard. So obviously the uninstall/reinstall trick doesn’t work. Any other suggestions before I just say screw it and trade it in? The Xbox One hard reset doesn’t change it either…
This game is getting to be so frustrating. Seems like the longer forza has been out the more bugs it’s getting without old ones being patched. Join a lobby and wait for 9+ min for them to finish race, then get dashboarded. IN MY OPINION Turn10 should NOT add anything to this game until bugs are fixed. So, I want to re-download digital copy of forza (wish i could return it right now) and reset game save. Does anyone know if I can get my paint and tuning setups back?
Yeah, I get dashboarded at the exact location on the nurburgring gp circuit every time i play it. Like clockwork.
Based on what you chaps are saying about support on the issue… all I can do is avoid it and hope there is a patch at some point.
When did it become ok to release a game with major glitches and then pretend the glitches dont exist. At least with BF4 dice acknowledged they released a broken game and said they were working on it.
Turn10 has apparently ascended into some god like status and no longer has to talk to us mortals. just take our money and smite our enjoyment. Ohh I cant wait for their next title to not be a “launch” title so they get put back in their place.
I did have couple (2-5 crashes) since release of game and xbone, and I have done about 1100h in FM5 (only game I play on XBONE btw) and last crash was before long beach, also noticed that game seemed to crash if i haven’t completely shut down console for a few days. Maybe somebody mentioned it but try different cars/setups/paints I heard from my friend that his Xbox crashed all the time but with a specific car so he sold(deleted it from garage) than bought again, re-tuned and repainted and crashes stopped - coincidence?
you all chose to be bug seekers when you bought the new as usual unfinished console.
Everybody knows new consoles are bug ridden.

anyways. in a party of 3 and we all got dashboarded (at different times).
Still no design rewards fix.

I just pretend it’s my systems way of telling me it’s time to take a break… I wish it didn’t tell me every hour but I do get some laundry done that way

I love crashing to the dashboard. The first time is pretty cool…, but man, the fourth time really gives you that rush!

I have found hard restarting cures this, i don’t think this is a FM5 problem but a system problem.
I don’t have a Xbox one and I’m glad of that at the moment, but wasn’t forza 4 plagued by a memory leak issue for quite a while after release? It may be annoying as **** at the moment, but just imagine how greatly you’ll appreciate crash free gaming! Glass half full and all that…
