I had the issue when the track first came out and then it was fixed. After this latest update I found I have the same issue, when I try to race on the Full Course my game crashes to dashboard.
I am not one to complain and didn’t do anything the first time this happened, but I have paid for all the DLC since Forza 3 and have supported this franchise. This is ridiculous I didn’t pay to have the game crash after waiting 20 minutes to get in a multiplayer game it is insane. Do they not test these things, I mean how hard is it to find errors like this.
As someone who works in a field that puts quality first it is really annoying to see a lunch title have this many issues. If you can’t release a good product then wait, don’t wait till customers find the problems. The customer should never see a problem unless the game is in ALPHA OR BETA.
Have you tried to uncheck the box in the system settings for resuming games instantly. I can’t remember off hand exactly where in the settings its at but that used to be a problem for me. Also is this only online or single player as wel?. If its only online its probably something on there end.
Also are you a beta testing for the new updates from Microsoft? they released a new update the other day as well it might be a issue too. The new version is 1404 something with other numbers as well you cqn check that in system settings in the settings tab.
I unchecked the box and it still crashes, and it isn’t overheating it just does it right when the race starts during the little fly-by it does before the countdown. Same issue I had before when the track first came out. It was fixed for a little but now it is doing it again, it just crashes me to dashboard and I have to restart the game it doesn’t shut the xbox off.
Maybe try setting your xbox to 720p/1080p to see if it still occurs. I know this does not fix your problem but perhaps it would help isolate the problem. If you have multiple accounts I would see if it crashes on one those. I dont know if you can reinstall the dlc only or if you can reinstall the whole game without losing anything.
Other weird things to try:
-You could try playing the map in local multiple player (split screen) to see if it still crashes.
-see if you can view a public replay of the map
-in free play see if trying different classes makes a difference
-remove any custom paints/tunes, play with a stock car…maybe a bad texture or certain car is causing the problem
@Underoath - Go to your settings and turn off the instant on to energy saving in the power settings. Now exit that and hold the power button on the console until it hard restarts itself by rebooting and showing the green startup screen.
This will not allow you to say “xbox on” anymore but it creates a lot of problems on the console. Let me know if Road America doesn’t work after that.
When I replaced my console and installed everything Road America did not work either. It would get to the loading screen, start an audio loop and crash.
The way I fixed it was to uninstall (game only) and reinstall the game.
I tried this and it didn’t work, I also used just a stock La Ferrari to see if it could be upgraded cars or paint. I also can’t download the new update for today but I believe that is a different issue. I’m going to keep trying tonight I really hope the new update fixes the issue.
Im having a simlar problem on single player
In the hot hatch championship every time i finsh the road america race it boots me to home screen??
same for the c-class championship
I have tryed quiting the game and restarting
Ive tryed hard resetting my xbox1
I have also tryed uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it still just crashies to home screen.
I have the season pass and also im on the xbox 1 preview program if that makes any diffrence.
All the other championships seem fine also multiplayer and rivals are fine
Any help would be great as im 88% done and soon wont be able to finish single player
Thanks
I had a very similar problem. I used the 2011 Alpha Romeo Giulietta on Road America for the hot hatch race. I would complete the race and even save a replay. As soon as I hit continue to collect my winnings and go back to the menu the game crashed to the desktop. The event is still not marked as completed. Even the replay is affected. I watch the replay and when I exit the replay the game crashes to the desktop. This happened three times in a row. I even tried a free play and the game did not even strart the race but crashed again to desktop. It occurred to me it might be a combination of car and track so I chose a different car and I was able to complete the race and collect my winnings. Now I have not tried this car on any other tracks so I will test if it just the car or a combination of car on the track but has anyone else used this car on Road America and had the game crash to the desktop?
