There is plenty in this discussion for you, read it from the beginning and this one too: A 6-Year Hiatus for This? I’m Going Back to FM7 - #77 by PapaRavi2493

Plus OTHERS. edit: This is 3+ threads for you, all you need to do is read.

That’s quite a wall of english text.
I read it tomorrow, too tired for so much today.
But it’s interesting, at least someone points out his problem with the game.

There’s a lot of people doing it. I am trying to remain neutral and actually provide feedback, but I am finding hard to see your point of view, factoring in my own history with these games. Let alone real cars.

and people keep saying the wall of text thing which, I guess I get. But i’m not complaining to fellow fans/community when they’re providing REAL feedback to the best of their ability. Happy that there is relatively lightly moderated discussion available in this age. Not stifled censored communication.

This sums it up pretty well:

you pay for the game my friend? because we pay almost 100 euro…so we need the game that we pay and not this, like now FM is one poor sound and details game nothing more nothing less.
Many of as we have PC,PS5 so is very easy to say that we change game but this is not a solution at this time , a solution must be come now or maybe yesterday because we pre-order and finally we take one Demo and we broke our nervus . Many games have '‘bug’'and problems but after 3-5 days the developers give instructions or patch, here nothing the only announcements are for Forza Horizon 5 hahaha …

I came back to give an update:

Day 2 of the game’s release, I got the game to launch. I decided to try it through my game pass ultimate and played it through the cloud. After turning it off because I actually don’t like playing cloud services games even with gigabit fiber optic internet. I decided to re-install the game and…it launched fine.

I noticed on my son’s PC, it was doing the same as mine and the game was crashing going into the first time loading of the game itself. Once installed, the game has launched fine ever since I finished the prologue.

While playing I would notice my game would drop from 175-200fps down to 80fps down to 57fps down to 35fps. After playing around I noticed that soon as I turned off resizable BAR, the game now consistently stays around 160-175fps.

Basic System Specs:

Ryzen 7 5700x, AMD Power Color Fighter RX 6800, 32gb RAM 3200mhz.

I also turned off window’s gaming mode that was auto turned on and everything so far seems to be a lot smoother… I did this on my son’s PC as well and everything fixed over there.

He has a Ryzen 5 5600, AMD XFX RX 6700, 16gb RAM 3200mhz

Hi T10ManteoMax, just wanted to say “Thank you” for the skill, talent & effort you and your team have put into Motorsport 2023 thus far, We (the customers) do not mean to offend you (dev’s), belittle your efforts or stomp all over your creativity its just that 99.9% of us (the customers) do not understand that you guys are underpaid, overworked and generally knackered and do not actually have full creative control over the game you want to make, therefore those 99.9% will immediatly become keyboard warriors and blame the wrong party (you guys) - the other 0.1% of us, salute you and your team, i know it must feel like a kick in the teeth at the moment with all the moaning from the 99.9%'ers, but give it time…
Us 0.1% understand & know you (the dev team) didnt want to launch the game yet and would of loved to of had more time to flush out and fix more of the bugs/errors aswell as finish implimenting more of the content you wanted in the game for launch, just know we 0.1%'ers still support you!

To the 99.9%'ers try directing your moaning & anger at those actually responsible… Ie: Microsoft/Xbox.
The developers are the heroes as they work to please US, the people at the top (who have probably never developed a game before) are the ones who work to ONLY increase there bank balance with our money…
If you have a complaint or issue - Please be respectful to our Heroes in the industry (the devs), its not there fault, (they are TOLD what they can & can not do and when to launch…) but they WILL work hard to fight for us & fix it for us…
All Moans & complaints should be directed at Microsoft/Xbox for launching regardless of state just to make sure profit margains are good… those with the attitude of “who cares about the customer we want money!! their money!!” - those are the ones responsible for your moan/complaint…

Thats all i have to say…

…They’re not going to hire you.

The devs are the ones ultimately responsible for the product we have. And in case you haven’t noticed, developers haven’t been doing all that great for themselves lately. Turn 10 had the opportunity to avoid this. They chose otherwise.

Hello 99.9%'er how are you?
I should hope they do not hire me, ive never programed ANYTHING or even know where to start… lol

Wrong on so many levels…

T10 is a studio ran by EMPLOYERS with teams of developer EMPLOYEES… the employees do not run the company so thank you for pointing out your own error. Your right, T10 did ignore it as their employer XBOX told em to…

So just to make this simple for you…
BIG BOSS: Microsoft/Xbox Game Studios (Makes decisions)
SMALL BOSS: T10 Dpt Heads & Managers (Manages team to meet those decisions)
WORKER: Developers (the team)

You want to blame the workers for the big boss decision… go ahead… with that logic, you might aswell blame the cleaning staff @ T10…

Ah, you’re that kind of guy.

Well, good luck to you. The last two white knights have been MIA since launch. That said, turnover is always particularly high in that position. Just thought you should know going in.

…sigh…
so we have resorted to calling people “white knights” just because they dont agree with your premis that employees are ultimatly to blame for poor business decisions… … … … ok, what ever floats your boat!

Im no developer & im no white knight… all i see is a bunch of unhappy people with poor aim… if those people had better aim, they might… “might”… start to make waves in an industry that does needs change…
Quality over Quantity has been missing from the gaming industry for YEARS…
Profit over Quality has been at the forefront of most Gaming studios for YEARS…
& It needs to change!!

But these unhappy people with issues wont change anything when they aim at the floor in a dark room! effectively biting the hand that feeds them… but if thats what you want to do, go ahead… no one will stop you…

oh & Good luck with that!!

I dont think development studios work like this in reality anymore. I am developer myself (not at T10 or anything related) and we are never at any pressure from management. They asks us estimates and deadlines and we follow agile process. If I miss deadlines it’s solely on me and not on management. All most all work in done this way for 2 decades. We gamers shift the blame to management due to lack of insider knowledge.

So you’re basically saying “stop buying their product”…?

The only way to voice “Concern” & know the message gets through is to voice it with your wallet…

Supply & demand… if people pay for #@#, they will keep supplying #@#, aslong as the profits keep coming, why change…

Too many game studios sell a game before its ready and therefore launch in a buggy/broken state (when was the last time a new game launched smoothly?) - effectively making all those loyal fans who paid for early access BETA-TESTERS-who paid for the privilage!!..

There isnt a single issue currently in Forza Motorsport that would of got a “green-light” if they tested inhouse properly…
So how did it launch with green-lights across the board?
or
Did they knowingly launch it in its current condition?

Each one raises more questions than provides answers…

Uhhh they didnt test it in house properly, thats why we’re here. It got green lights because its been 6 years and they needed beta testers. They most certainly did launch it knowing the condition it was in, most issues are pretty blatant and not really difficult to find.

This is not an instance of them being rushed, or releasing on a brand new console, or first time launching on pc, there is no evil secret overlord smoking a cigar at an eyes wide shut party thinking of how they can railroad the players as well as turn 10.

Everything related to this game since the beginning of the year has been poorly handled and frankly sloppy. The game has obviously had issues being developed, whether it was software, hardware, mismanagement or all of the above.

Could it have been delayed instead of releasing unfinished in a gaas guise sure, but i believe this game had already missed internal targets. How much longer should it have taken 3 more months, 6, a year. Do you honestly believe it would have made much of a difference.

My opinion is no it wouldnt have. This is a gamepass game now plain and simple. It was never going to be a full game at release, which is why the development time was so perplexing. This developer was able to get forza motorsport 5 to run at 1080p at a locked 60 fps on the xbox one launch day in 3 years. This game has taken twice as long and the edges of everything looks like someone drew it with a crayon.

Its a shame it really is.

In T10 career webpage I never see openings for Testers, I think they dont have it inhouse.

I think it’s just common for people to use “devs” conversationally as a blanket term referring to game companies in general - the groups/organizations that make games, not necessarily any individual hands-on person who does the direct, day-to-day, in-the-trenches development work.

Company decision-makers read financial reports, not bug reports or complaints.
Good design and reliable functional quality are not the metrics of success they care about (or even know about).

Business follows the money, and money talks louder than criticism & requests.
Companies are not in business to make gamers happy - they’re in business to make money… and unfortunately, lots of gamers repeatedly show that they’re willing to open their wallets for poor-quality games.

It does no good to complain if our mouths say “no” while our wallets say “yes.”
If we want better, our collective buying habits (their sales figures) have to prove it’s not profitable for them to continue doing things the way they’ve been doing them.

Keep throwing money at them and they’ll keep following the money.
Buying sketchy games = funding more sketchy games.

Na… My preloaded game had 2 updates here before 5th so some people played and they fixed stuff. You can’t find everything inhouse with handfull of testers. Nothing wrong there and i know my game is not 100% perfect at launch. But there is something wrong with other things they do like giving game to influencers and locking most stuff for them and so on.

It was playable on my xbox! Small things here and there nothing rly extreme.
And then the update showed up…
