How come 10 developers with very little experience with the engine they’re working with can release a more polished experience than you?
I know it’s not the same genre, I’m talking about PALWORLD btw.
They’ve also done the impossible according to your dev team, they have released 5 updates already fixing game breaking issues and it’s only been 2 WEEKS!!
What is Turn 10 doing? Do they not care? Are they incompetent?
Why are there STILL issues that have persisted since launch?
I’ll bet after the update on the 14th, the game will still suffer the same exact issues people have been complaining about for MONTHS.
I think they are well aware (and have been since launch). I don’t belive these posts will get the result you hope for, as the road map for FM have probably been laid out already. They update when they want, and fix what they want.
I agree it’s been a flaming dumpster fire since launch with only small progress so far. Every update helps (usually), but the number of fixes needed to make this the game they advertised is probably never going to happen.
Try to enjoy it for what it is or move on to better racing games (of which there are several).
my guess is, they dont need to hurry.
they all have a save job and just doing the things they have to do.
probably over the years and how “games” are become a money industry product where only sales counts they lost the will and honor to deliver something great.
All of this for a 5yo game being updates since FM23 released.
They’ve had much bigger and more significant updates to an already “finished” game in that time. They’re probably a 10th of the size at that studio.
To be fair, Reiza are also releasing for one platform and do not have to deal with the whole Microsoft approval process. Not saying that that justifies the current state of FM, but you’re not really comparing apples to apples.
It give some perspective though. As MS’s approval process isnt making it take 10x as long. And as I’ve pointed out before, What are they approving in these update releases anyway? We’ve had dozens of things in changelogs that turned out to not be fixed. So it isnt even like these processes are doing any quality control.
no.
We have to stop giving these people our money for a product that’s broken to begin with.
Of course that’s difficult when review scores are dishonest, awards are dishoneste etc…
But we as consumers must vote with our money.
*sorry superhornet this is not meant to sound so rude towards you - I’m frustrated at T10 not you.
My summary The time it takes to fix issues in a game can vary greatly depending on the complexity of the game, the nature of the issues, and the resources available to the development team. Forza Motorsport, being a highly detailed and complex racing game, might face unique challenges that could potentially extend the time required for fixes.
It’s important to note that the development team’s commitment to quality and player satisfaction often means they will take the necessary time to ensure issues are properly resolved, even if it takes longer than expected. This is part of the process of game development and maintenance, and while it can be frustrating for players, it ultimately leads to a better gaming experience.
Microsoft certification typically takes around 2 weeks for most games.
Turn 10 have decided to do updates every 4 weeks.
I’m sure they have their reasons for doing so, based on internal production workflows, and the fact that it’s been working well for Playground for over 5 years.
I think the first thing I noticed is the dates. Feb 3 and 4, Saturday and Sunday. Jan 28, Sunday. Jan 20, Saturday. Jan 6, Saturday. Jan 1, public holiday. It seems quite likely someone’s working on the weekend at some point, which to me isn’t a great thing to emulate.
Beyond that, it isn’t a fair comparison. Two different games, at two very different stages of their life, by two different companies of different size and ownership status. Not that the comparison with Palworld any makes more sense.
I’m not here saying there’s no legitimate criticism to be leveled at Turn 10, but this doesn’t really look like it.
The consumer doesn’t really care about this right?
Why does a AAA Studio backed by Microsoft - get a pass on a 2 or a 4 week update schedule and up to $100 of consumers cash.
And an indie dev - somehow can do almost daily updates to their functional game.
I personally find it interesting to understand how these differences arise - but consumer hat on - why should I care? I paid for AAA and it’s being outshone by indie at as little as 1/10th the price.
It is many times been said before: don’t spend your money, before you know what you get.
Turn10 and Forza are well known names and many Customers simply said: shut up and take my money. I ALMOST did the same, until I heard about CarPG. That killed it for me. Luckily.
Those Palworld-Devs are doing a new IP. They have no other chance to sell that game (which is still under development), than being motivated.
…They released a car that “accidentally” came with 4000 laps of fuel…
They built the game engine (supposedly from the ground up, despite having the same bugs as previous games) and you telling me they don’t know how to fix some of the smallest issues?
The game STILL runs terribly after 4 months.
The game STILL has no stats page after 4 months.
Replays STILL don’t work after 4 months.
Yet they’d rather keep adding content than fixing the game.
Yes, you listed the page of what they are HOPING to fix, but we’ve had multiple patches where they said they’ve “fixed” things but they actually didn’t.
